Question:	Will this fit a true A5-sized pad - 5.8" x
Answer:	I use 5"x8" pads, and there is a good amount of room left over. There is plenty of room for the 8.25" height. The 5.8" width maybe a little tight, but you could trim the backing board a bit to allow it to slide into the sleeve. The binding/fold has enough slack that it should allow for the extra width if necessary.
Question:	Does the legal pad slide into a pocket or does it have a clipboard
Answer:	The legal pad cardboard backing slides behind a panel that is attached to the right side. the panel is open open at top and bottom and is made of black material. This is my second one- I use it daily for everything I need daily including a 8" tablet in the left side pocket. First one zipper gave out after about a year. I would def buy again!

Plenty of room for my Kindle, notepad, notecards and pen, stylus. However after a year of use, the plastic retainers on the corners that are supposed to hold your device all broke off! I was able to secure my Kindle using Velcro strips on the back, which stuck to the inside of the case (also less cumbersome than the plastic corners).

Question:	Can you insert a side notebook rather than a legal/flip notebook
Answer:	No. However, I have removed the top loading notepad, and instead use a soft cover large Moleskine notebook. This way, I can keep it and my cards, pens and other materials in it, open it or just remove the Moleskine, set the padfolio next to my chair and take notes if I have limited desk or table space.

I am not sure of the dimensions, however, the previous generation mini tucks in the largest compartment perfectly. ***If you have a pen in the pen loop, it will make contact with mini. Keep this in mind if there’s no protective cover for your mini.
