Question:	Can this work manually in case electricity goes off
Answer:	The hole-punch feature will not work if the machine is not turned on (which means you need electricity to run that part). The binding part of the machine is manually operated so it does not require electricity, in fact it can be lifted out of the machine and one person can hole-punch and pass off the hole-punched pages to someone else to bind them if you so choose. However, if you have not already hole-punched the pages, you obviously can't bind them.
Question:	What is the lifetime for the machine
Answer:	I don't know if anyone would have this answer. It probably depends on how often it is used. We love this machine. So much better and easier than the former manual binding machine. We do not, however, use it on a daily basis.
Question:	What is the power rating for this machine? Can you please confirm if its 110v or 220v
Answer:	This machine is 110 volt so it can be plugged into a standard outlet.
Question:	I do not understand two qualities underlined here: What does "Usage" mean and what is "Reusable Dies
Answer:	Usage refers to how often the machine will be used to punch and bind books, etc. In this case it refers to what kind of wok load it should be able to stand. I think your other question should be releasable dies, not reusable. I think a better term would be interchangeable dies - that would let you change the size, number, and shape of holes you punch in the paper you put in the machine. (Dies refers to the metal "teeth" that punch the holes the plastic binding clips go through.

Answer:	Although a 12" long pc of paper will fit in the machine the holes punched will only span about 11".... it will punch thru construction paper no problem, but probably only a few sheets at once. If your binding along the 9" edge it will work no problem...

Answer:	I have no solution for this, The rubber drum on the top of the machine should turn when turned on. If there is no rotation I would think there might be something disconnected or inoperative. I would think you could send the machine back and have another sent to you, if repairs are need they will be Able to make the at the shipping point. Question:	Residue from using it causes the holes to be mis-punched. Do you have a tool that can be used to clear the track for the next project
Answer:	I tried both cases. All works well. I tried binding glue strip with own cover which I used own printed photo paper as cover. It looks good with pretty strong binding. I bought some covers. It looks like commercial binding. Overall I am happy with this binder. Even though binder glue is good, I always use staple to make extra binding power. It is not recommend by fellows, but I have used. None of page comes out from my bindings so far.
Question:	Will this machine only allow the maximum thickness it can punch to be inserted at a time, I am tired of counting pages each punch
Answer:	I have used lots of different covers: chipboard, cardstock, report covers, etc. Anything that will not melt at a lower temperature than the hot glue/adhesive.
Question:	does it accept cardstock and other thick paper
Answer:	In theory, yes. The only thing that can be an obstacle is whether the heat from the machine will affect the book spine... e.g. warping, melting, and cracking. We use it to make custom books and the quality of the spine after heating really depends on the cover paper coatings.
Question:	Can anyone tell me what the "starter kit" contains re: comb sizes, etc.? Please and thank you
Answer:	Yes. It works very well. The glue is strong but some times couple of pages come out from the binding books. As long as you use staple with glue. It is perfect. They are not recomand to use staple, but it works better. I made many thick binding books with staple and glue. none of them failed.

Question:	The write up says "up to 20 sheets". Do you punch 20 sheets, then punch another 20 pages separately and then put them all back in to coil bind
Answer:	To get a good hole uniformly on each page, I would recommend 10-15 pages per punch. Then, you would add the comb binding to however many sets of 10-15 pages you punched.
Question:	what is the maximum mm coil you can use
Answer:	You can use whatever size coil you can find on the market. The largest coil which works with the electric coil inserter is 7/8 inch. The largest coils that I have seen advertised have been 2 inch but if you can find any larger, there is certainly no reason why you cannot use them. Anything larger than 7/8 of an inch has to be inserted by hand. It's really not all that hard to do but it does take a little bit longer.
Question:	What materials do I need to get to actually bind something using this machine? coil? Can I find that on here too
Answer:	In addition to the machine, you'll need plastic coils, covers, and a pair of coil crimping pliers. All of these items are sold separately and available for purchase on Amazon. The most common coil sizes are those for smaller books, generally ranging between 6mm and 12mm (which will accommodate books up to 92 pages, based on 20 lb. paper).
Question:	Would I be able to do smaller books-----say a 3 x 5 book or maybe even a 2 x 4 book
Answer:	The silver button looking things on the front can be pulled forward to disengage individual whole punches. This will alow you to punch the exact number of holes you want for any book. The spiral bindings can be cut with wire cutters to smaller sizes as well. Long answer short, yes, you can do smaller books with this machine.

Question:	how many sheets can be bound after punching
Answer:	That would depend upon the size of coil you were using. A 50 mm coil will hold 400 sheets of 20lb paper. That's the biggest coil we carry.
Question:	Hello what is the power voltage of this machine
Answer:	It is a standard AC 115volt with 3rd prong. I think it uses 50-60 hz like a mini fridge. We have ours plugged into a standard outlet and has served us well with no issues.
