User questions & answers
Question: | could these fit graded comics |
Answer: | No, it will fit all comics bagged and boarded but not graded. |
Question: | does one bin hold 150 or five bins hold 150 altogether |
Answer: | Each bin can hold 150. |
Question: | Has anyone had these long enough to see if the boxes hold up to humidity? All comics are bagged/boarded and filled to capacity... but just wondering |
Answer: | put the box in a heavy duty plastic garbage bag, use a shop-vac to get out all the air, then seal it. no air no moisture. |
Question: | Do graded comics fit in these boxes |
Answer: | No not slabed books just regular bagged and boarded comics silver age and up, you can buy graded bins that are the same except for the dimensions, regs are 16-1/2" x 8-1/2" and graded are I believe 20" x 14" I believe they are around $10 more than the small bins and a lot of people are saying they're to expensive but if you're a serious collector they're well worth the investment! I own 7 small bins and plan on getting a lot more to replace my cardboard boxes! I doubt I'll ever buy cardboard boxes again! Hope this helps you out and stay safe and healthy ✌️ |

User questions & answers
Question: | Do these boxes hold 150-175 bagged/boarded comics or 150-175 comics without bags/boards |
Answer: | I have roughly 150 bagged and boarded. I like to leave some room to expand the collection or so I can easily look through. |
Question: | How are they shipped? Do they come in a box or are they just bundled together and shipped like that |
Answer: | they came in a box bundled together |
Question: | Are these archival quality boxes, in other words, acid free |
Answer: | I DON'T KNOW. i WOULD SAY THAT I WOULD NOT BE INCLINED TO PUT COMICS IN BOXES WITHOUT HAVING THEM ALREADY IN AN ACID FREE BAG ON AN ACID FREE BACKER BOARD OR SLAB REGARDLESS SO, i'M NOT CLEAR AS TO WHY IT WOULD MATTER. THEY'RE VERY NICE BOXES. |
Question: | Do the boxes come with lids |
Answer: | Yes. Each box comes with a lid. |

Question: | Do these hold more comics compared to the regular long cardboard boxes |
Answer: | Should hold about the same amount of comics as the cardboard box |
Question: | is it waterproof |

Question: | How would they hold up un a garage? Would they holes small enough to keep mice or other critters out |
Answer: | They'd be great in a garage, but be careful of humidity from washers or excess heat from dryers. Once closed, there are no holes for mice, but you might find ants or small bugs. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Do these come with the outer shells |
Answer: | No. There are some that are like drawers, but those are alot more expensive. Hope this helped. |
Question: | Will comics in plastic top loaders fit |
Answer: | Absolutely and will room to spare. That’s the main reason I bought it . |
Question: | what are the dimensions |
Answer: | The Dimensions as advertised - Exterior L 15.75 X W 7.5 X H 10.75When I measured mine, I got closer to L 16" x W 8" x H 11 exterior dimensions. However, I found that they had quite a bit of variation in how they were cut and pre-creased, so you could expect dimensions to vary by 1/4". Maybe more if you get a particularly bad batch. They fit silver to modern age comics with backing boards easily and should fit your golden age also. I have very few golden age comics, so I haven't tried to store them in these boxes. |
Question: | is this item 5 boxes or 1 box |
Answer: | This is for 5 boxes and 5 lids. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Are these acid free |
Answer: | The boards in total composition are acid free at time of manufacture, but they don't remain that way over time as the core of the board is acidic. The boards have a coating on one side (the smooth side) that acts as a buffer / alkaline reserve. This side should be the only side that touches anything. The rough side is acidic. When used as a comic book backer the buffer deteriorates over time due to the acidity of the comic book as well as the board itself. This happens within 3-5 years depending on environmental conditions and necessitates replacement of the board. The vendor will even admit to this fact. |
Question: | Fabric stashers: Can these be cut in half with a rotary cutter to use with smaller cuts of fabric |
Answer: | I do not use my rotary cutter on anything but fabric. That being said, I have been able to cut the cardboard with a straight edge paper cutter that I purchased for scrapbooking. |
Question: | is this the cardboard you get in comic bags |
Answer: | Yes |
Question: | One side is glossy, the other is matte. Does it matter what side I put against the comic |
Answer: | Yes!!!Where I bought many comics at a comic book store the guy working in there told me to lay the board down where the glossy side is facing up and put the comic book on this side. The rough matte side should never touch the comic book!!!Also if I was you I would get the current comic book bags that comes in a 100 count pack. This is for the average comic collector that does not have any valuable comic books. If you have expensive ones that you really want to protect the best you have to buy the much more expensive comic book bags. You can find all these on Amazon. They are much cheaper on these than any of the comic book shops I know.I like to keep my comic books in a special comic book box that Amazon sells. It holds around 250 comic books depending on the size.I keep my comics in a dark place my closet.I used to keep some in the basement but it was humid and ruined them!!!I hope you enjoy collecting comic books.I hope this has helped you!!!! |
