Answer:	I am assuming that it is plastic, not acrylic. It comes rolled up in a box. There is an issue with the mat. I have a low pile berber carpet in my office so I assumed that this would work well. Unfortunately, the wheels of the chair sink into the mat which makes it nearly impossible to roll the chair.

The larger polycarbonate mats are rolled, but as polycarbonate is rigid material it will, when unrolled return to its flat state. Polycarbonate is rigid, stiff and strong and office desk chair casters will not sink into the plastic mat.
