Question:	How wide is the opening on the back
Answer:	I need to correct myself as I failed to look closely enough at the listing regarding the self stick tape they provide. It certainly appears that they do, in fact, only provide the cheap white foam backed adhesive 3M tape, and not the automotive grade grey tape. As a result, you will end up leaving some of it on the surfaces upon removal of the holder pieces. Personally, were I to mount them , I would first throw away the cheap crap discs that they provide and head for the auto parts store and purchase the 3M grey automotive trim tape and use it for mounting. The other issue with the cheap stuff they provide is that over time the white foam deteriorates and one day it will simply come apart, leaving the adhesive behind on whatever surface you have it mounted on.

Answer:	I installed mine using the 3M double sided tape. The total length equals 4 and 1/16 inches overall.
Question:	How much does this seat cushion flatten out? I'm not a very big man, I'm 6'0 and 200-210 pounds and most cushions flatten out quickly
Answer:	It's not obvious, took me an hour to figure out, there's no instructions at all in the package. You definitely need instructions! I don't know if the previous answer provided by 'KC' is from a valid purchase, apparently if you have really bought and used this product, you would know that 3M pad is not strong enough to hold it against the strong magnet. That's why most sellers such as HD and lowes sell this without 3M!!!
