Answer:	I am fairly certain it will fit your chair. The chair cylinder I had also had a plastic sleeve (beauty sleeve) that slid down the original cylinder. After I removed the old cylinder I discovered this new one did not fit all the way into the base. It is slightly tapered at the end so it would fit into the base, but mine did not go into the base as far as the original cylinder. Since the " beauty sleeve" would not slide onto the new cylinder, I knew the new cylinder was slightly larger. Indeed, using dial calipers it was @ .035 of an inch larger. I sanded the inside of both the base and the "beauty sleeve" until I had the fit I wanted. Yes, if your chair was sold in the US or Canada, it will probably fit your chair. I do not know if you have the tools to measure the base of your chair, or the diameter of the old and new cylinder. I used dial calipers. If not, it will be cheaper for you to order, try it, then send it back if it does not fit. Amazon has been great in taking back items............ask your friends. Dahlars was great in getting it sent out and the cylinder is great.

Answer:	I know it is much higher than any of the other chairs I have had it also adjusts to much higher height if need be. I have not tested to 1000 lbs but it is very sturdy even if using all day, everyday.

Answer:	when empty, chair should go all the way up when you use the lever. it should go down when you sit if you again use the lever. if it is stuck at the top and u installed correctly then it must be defective. it is a strong item and will not compress at all by just sitting w/out engaging the lever. maybe lever is bent and not releasing air in lift which is of course how it would go down if its working properly. my chair has been at the height i put it at since i installed the new lift—it hasn’t had to be readjusted a single time in months!

Answer:	No. I purchased this cylinder to replace the original cylinder of my new WorkPro Quantum 90000 chair, which sits too low for me, only to find out the height adjustment lever does not reach the button on top of the cylinder that unlocks it, which makes it impossible to adjust the height.

Answer:	Is there an adjustment screw someone above the gas cylinder on the chair that is connected to the lever that you pull to make the chair go up and down? I installed this on a 2003 Herman Miller Aeron and had to turn this screw out a few turns so it wasn't hitting the cylinder all the time. The button at the top of this new gas cylinder was 3/8" or so taller than the old one. I thought mine was DOA too, but then discovered this. Hope this helps!

4. Remove the orange cap of the new cylinder. Insert the bottom of the cylinder into the center of the chair base.

5. Carefully lift both the chair base and the chair cylinder into the chair mechanism. The parts will then fasten on their own.

Answer:	It went pretty easy. The old one was stuck in the base so I took it outside and put a couple of blocks of wood under the base and knocked it out from underneath. The new longer one installs really easy, its all in getting the old one out.
