Answer:	Where does it say that? There is a picture of it on a bed. That’s an accurate presentation of size. It fits across your body in a sitting position. I don’t know the exact measurements but it’s definitely not that small.

I also have a big laptop and it is also heavy , I like to sit up in my bed with legs stretched out and this stand rest on my belly and the lower part on my legs and it is very comfortable. If you look at the pictures you can see were the two ends that make contact with your body are rounded and turned up so it makes it smooth and not a sharp edge . Answer:	When you are building it, IKEA gives you some stops so the drawer will not pull all the way out. I did not install them when assembled and they will pull all the way out. I too was concerned that I would have waisted space toward the back. Now I can pull them out enough to see and use the full drawer. Hope this helps. I love mine.

Answer:	i can confirm that the small drawers will close with clearance on an item that is exactly 3.5" tall measured with calipers. therefore the distance from the bottom of the drawer to the lowest point of the one above it is slightly greater than 3.5"

Answer:	Not sure. The closest IKEA to me is over 2 hours away, and the shipping cost of two Alex drawer units plus a 98 inch countertop was only $60. These should be no more than around $20 over msrp. Definitely not twice the msrp.
