11 best speakerphone with caller ids
A speakerphone with Caller ID is a telephone device commonly used in both home and office settings. It combines the functionality of a speakerphone for hands-free communication with the ability to display Caller ID information for incoming calls. Here are some key features and aspects of such a device:
Hands-Free Communication: The primary function of a speakerphone is to allow users to engage in phone conversations without holding the handset. This is particularly useful for conference calls, meetings, or situations where you need both hands free.
Caller ID Display: These speakerphones are equipped with a Caller ID feature, which displays information about incoming calls. This typically includes the caller's phone number and, if available, the caller's name. Caller ID allows you to screen calls and decide whether to answer them based on the displayed information.
Call Log: Some speakerphones with Caller ID also maintain a call log, which stores information about recent incoming and outgoing calls. This log can help you keep track of your call history.
Speaker and Microphone: These devices have built-in speakers and microphones designed to deliver clear audio during conversations. Some models may feature noise-canceling technology to improve call quality.
Phonebook: Many speakerphones allow you to store contact information in a digital phonebook. This makes it easy to access and dial frequently used numbers without having to manually enter them each time.
Answering Machine Integration: In some cases, speakerphones with Caller ID may be integrated with an answering machine. This allows you to receive voice messages when you're unable to answer calls.
Caller ID Subscription: To use the Caller ID feature effectively, you may need to subscribe to a Caller ID service provided by your telephone service provider.
LCD Display: The Caller ID information is typically displayed on an LCD screen on the speakerphone's base or handset, making it easy to read.
Call Waiting: Some models also support call waiting, which allows you to receive and switch between multiple calls while using the speakerphone.
These speakerphones with Caller ID offer convenience and functionality for both personal and professional phone communication. They are designed to make it easier to manage and prioritize incoming calls while providing hands-free operation for improved multitasking.

User questions & answers
Question: | Does this phone have a voicemail indicator light or any other way of signaling that a voicemail has been received |
Answer: | Sorry, there is no indicator light. The only way to know if a message is there, is when you pick the phone up to dial. I needed a quick replacement and I have other phones with indicators, so not much of a problem for me. |
Question: | Can the be wall mounted |
Answer: | It can't be wall mounted if they don't include the mount in the box. Mine didn't include one..... |
Question: | Can you change the cord on this phone or is it "hard wired?" I like the longer cords |
Answer: | Michael is correct. You can chose the cord length of your choice for both the handset and the phone itself. When I bought my phone, I also purchased a longer coiled cord for the handset. Great phone. |
Question: | will this operated with an included ac adapter or do you need batteries |
Answer: | There is no included ac adaptor, nor does there seem to be anyplace to connect one. You need batteries. |

User questions & answers
Question: | what is the battery life |
Answer: | Only have had the phone since June 2013 and have not replaced any batteries. |
Question: | When calling somebody, the person on the other line can not hear anything. Is this because a DSL filter is needed or do I have a defective product |
Answer: | The DSL filter allows you to use the phone on the same line as a computer. The person on the end of the line should be able to hear you with or without the filter as long as the call went through. Check to see if the Mute button has been inadvertently pressed. It lights up red at the lower left side of your phone. When it's on, the person you're talking to can't hear you. If that's not it, you can call Customer Servive at (800) 222-3111 or go to www.telephones.att.com. Hope this helped. |
Question: | can you plug up a headset |
Answer: | Yes, via the handset jack on the phone base. Note the handset extension cord in "bought together", also check instruction manual and you'll see that the handset cord is a separate piece. But, note Micubed1's comment. This does NOT have a 2.5 mm jack. You need to use a headset with amplifier that plugs into the handset jack (RJ11). Jabra is an example. |
Question: | Why does it need batteries? Doesn't the wall jack supply all the power it needs |
Answer: | It needs batteries to power the caller ID display. It only has to plug into the phone jack & doesn't require an electrical outlet (one of the reasons I picked this set). We're extremely pleased with this phone! |

User questions & answers
Question: | Can the landline phone be mounted to the wall and if so, how many inches does it stick out from the wall |
Answer: | We have not had an outage since I have owned this, but since it is a land-line phone I assume the phone will work on the old type phone lines, but maybe not the answering unit. (This is why some keep a landline phone for another kind of security.) I am definitely not a techie so double check this. |
Question: | Does the base unit have to be plugged in for caller id |
Answer: | The remote handset no but has speaker phone. The base has the plug in handset which can be removed so I am assuming a headset jack that can answer and hang up the phone may work |
Question: | Does this come with the charger adapter that plugs into an outlet |
Answer: | I don't see one on the base or hands-free sets. |
Question: | Corded base works during a power failure |
Answer: | I can confirm, except for the cordless handset, yes, it does! We don't have reliable power in the deep cold of winter or the hottest times in summer, which is why we always keep a landline. It won't work if your phones company is cable, however. Nor will you see the displays when the electric goes out but, this type of phone is essential for potential emergencies. |
