Answer:	I have used it on Polaroid photos. Note that such photos tend to fade over time. So you will be freezing them at their current state of deterioration.

Answer:	I have never used it on negatives. The instructions say it works on 35 mm, 110, and 126 negatives.

If a paper is even slightly glossy (which many standard letters are), you will need to turn off the flash on your smartphone or it will create a white spot in the middle of the page and you won't be able to read the text. When you have lights above, you will almost always have a shadow from your phone on the document you are trying to scan - which will make your image difficult to read (especially if you try to convert it to black and white). For glossy documents, keep the flash off, and position the scanner bin so that a light source can illuminate the paper without large shadows. The Scanner Bin will block the light from the other directions, including overhead.

Answer:	It is compatible, but just for scanning your own art work, I found that using the cutting mat picked up cut line paper lint then had to take extra time to clean up the scanned image.

Answer:	I'm not sure. I was unable to send images from my computer to the scanner. So, I printed the image on my printer and then placed the printed image(s) under the photo scanning mat. On the scanner, scanned images have three settings. I had the scanner cut the images separately on all three settings. I then took the "best" image and applied them to my shirts. I hope this helps!

Answer:	I have a ScanNcut Machine but I only use it for cutting card stock or paper. I have used it with Mylar to cut stencils - excellent results. If you have one of these machines you will see in the patterns that it does have quite a lot of quilting designs (I am not a quilter) but I do know that it cuts fabric just great. People who do applique also have great results. I have cut vinyl to make peel off's - again very successful. So I guess the sewing mat is used to place the fabric on to cut the desired pattern - but not sure. Just wish that I knew of a skilled person near me (like Melanie Heaton) - I am quite certain that it does heaps more that I have yet learnt. Let me know how you get on - I would be most interested.

Answer:	Yes it will work. This is a mat that you don't have to absolutely have, as you can use your other mat to scan things into the machine. This mat is used for scanning only, and you do not use it for a cutting mat. Answer:	The ScanJig is used to scan A4 documents (about letter US sized) . When using an iPad, the tablet will sit significantly left of center on the device holder shelf. A couple of things to check - when you open the cover and rotate it away from you make sure it is leaning all the way back (the actual position is 122 degrees). Second, make sure the wire support arm behind the device holder is completely vertical. Also, iPad model 3 and newer are recommended as they have better cameras. Answer:	Yes, your phone can be placed in four positions to adjust the distance to the document.

Answer:	Hello, this scanner is made by built-in WIFI. You don't need to have internet on your device. The scanner is more like a mobile WIFI. You just need to open "WIFI" from scanner and connect your device to the WIFI that scanner creates with password. Then available to get the scans.
Question:	Does anyone with a Mac use this without the software? Is it worth it
Answer:	I have a Mac but I also have a Windows laptop. What I do is scan onto the wand and then connect the wand to the laptop through the USB and transfer the scans onto my Windows laptop. So I'm not using the software-I wasn't able to figure out how to get it to work so I decided to do it this way instead.
Question:	How well does it scan recipes from a book
Answer:	I am using it to scan my father's journal and it works pretty well so it would probably workk to scan recipes from a book, as long as the book can be opened pretty wide.

If you meet a situation like this, your scans come out very dark and not clear, the scanner keeps red light on or doesn't scan effectively, please teach a lesson to this slack boy with extensive calibration process

1. clean scanning glass with included clean cloth
2. put the scanner in a white paper
3. keep pressing the "UP Button" , then press "Scan" to start calibration process
4. Once the LCD show "Scroll Scanner" , start to scan with smooth sliding until the LCD display nothing
5. The slack boy become diligent again
