Answer:	This item is simply a hard-shell case for the Epson WorkForce Scanner; the scanner itself is sold separately. (When I purchased the scanner, it only came with a soft case, which didn't protect it well enough for travel.) To answer your question, yes, you can scan an 8.5" x 11" piece of paper with the scanner.
Question:	where are the linux drivers
Answer:	The case is zippered and it measures 11 inches long x 2 1/4 inches wide on the right side. I have a Epson DS-30 portable scanner and it fits perfectly. On the left inside it measures the same, but there is a netted pocket that stores the USB cord to the scanner. If you use your scanner on the go like I do, I would definitely recommend this case, its durable & sturdy. The felt bag that came with the scanner is just a dust cover as far as I'm concerned. Answer:	Yes, I used my kindle hd a/c adapter as well as my nokia cellphone a/c adapter, both worked just fine. I've even charged with the same USB cables in my 12 volt charger in my vehicle. Of course with an usb adapter for the 12 volt.
Question:	Can I scan old photos with it
Answer:	Yes, you can scan old photos with it provided they fit the width. It's not the best for the purpose but certainly better than not scanning old photos at all. If the surfaces are slippery you may need to give the photo a gentle push through it as the rollers pull it through. You can even scan photos ripped completely in two by feeding both parts in simultaneously. The problem with faded photos is that this scanner doesn't have a high dynamic range. So when you pull the resulting scan into your photo editor for optimization ("un-fading") you might get some banding and noise. But if the photos are not faded then it works reasonably well. A flatbed scanner will sometimes be rated as 12 bits per pixel; this portable scanner isn't rated but cannot be more than 8 because that is the dynamic range of JPEG. For instance, suppose your entire photo was faded such that the darkest part was a light grey. In 8 bit you have values 0 through 255; light grey is 16 lets say. You can optimize, spread it out to black and white but you still have only 16 values and it is going to look banded and posterized. But if you have 4096 values between white and black, and your faded photo is using only 256, well then when you save it as a JPEG or GIF it will have the full entire range possible with JPEG and the un-faded photo will usually look great without banding. A good camera also works. I shoot old photos with a high-dynamic range camera and macro lens (Nikon D700 works exceptionally well for this purpose), it offers an astonishing 14 bits per pixel and is also a whole lot faster than a scanner and eliminates having to unmount the photos. But several thousand dollars for a suitable camera versus less than $200 for a reasonably good scanner, well, I take my little scanner everywhere I go and use it pretty much every day. The USB socket is broken so I charge my battery on a power supply and use the SD memory card to transfer scans to my computer but it still works and it is pretty good. It is pretty good for a related project, scanning your old magazines that have articles worth keeping but you don't want all that paper. Just cut out the articles and feed it through the scanner. Since it captures front and back, it is fast and easy.

Answer:	Our ScanSnap models do not have TWAIN compatibility. However, the ScanSnap iX1600 is bundled with the ScanSnap Home software. We recommend saving the files to your local drive and uploading to the desired TWAIN application. We also have our fi-Series models which are TWAIN compatible.

Answer:	First note: I own neither the RideSafer vest nor the WhizRider portable vest. However, in my research, this WhizRider does not have a harness that ties the vest down on the opposite side of the shoulder strap, whereas the Ride Safer vest at least provides for that, thus making it closer to a "5-point" harness safety system. Simply put, the WhizRider seems to be a vest-version of a seat-belt positioning device.

Answer:	I wasn't able to get this model to connect to my wifi, maybe a bug with the software. Gave up after 1.5 hrs, sent it back and got the AD-1700. Connected to my wifi in 5 minutes using the LCD menus--way easier.
Question:	Would this be a good quality photo scanner, including older photos
Answer:	Generally, you're going to want a flatbed scanner for photos. If you only have a few heirloom photos to scan, I would personally take them to a place that specializes in photo scanning, and not bother with owning my own flatbed scanner. It's kind of like photo printing; you don't need to own your own dedicated photo-quality printer when the Staples up the street would do a better job for less price.

Answer:	Either right click on the pdf and "save as" and type in the location oruse the "close" box and before the file closes it should ask to save it and one responds and saves it to the desired location.orDrag the pdf from the window and place it on the desktop and then send it or drag it to the desired location

Answer:	The software requieres you to register an account for their service and they will give you a free trial. Oyer they will email you trying to make you buy the service. But you can use the scanner without the cloud service or internet connection, ONLY if their buggy software works! You can see their website with a extensive section to trouble shoot it. Mine just crashes and it's impossible to fix. I had to use other scanning app with don't works very good with NEAT.

Answer:	I'm not an expert here but thats not how I have found it... I have it connected to my computer and it scans all my documents directly to the Neat program that is on my computer.... when I open Neat on my computer and scan I can see it immediately and I do not have iCloud...
