Question:	can i use the document feeder to scan multiple pages at one time
Answer:	Yes you can. I just scanned a 5 page document using the document feeder. Worked great!
Question:	Does the top lift up so I can scan books/other things that won't fit through the document feeder
Answer:	Yes it hinges up. The rear hinges seem to be able to lift up higher than just a page, like on a book, but it definitely lifts up. I normally lift up the top to scan one or two pages vs. using the document feed.

Answer:	My photo printing was excellent quality. Adjusting the paper feed system is not an easy adjustment, but much easier on the fourth or fifth time you use it. One small thing is there is a 1/16" white strip on top and bottom. Tom

Answer:	The 880 has touch screen fax buttons instead of physical buttons, uses different print cartridge model numbers (newer possibly) and has NFC support for phones that support. I have not used a 870 so I'm not sure if the 880s touchscreen is more responsive but usually they update the processor on refreshes. Answer:	People should be prevented from answering with the "I don't know" option provided by Amazon! Nit only is it a total waste of prospective buyers time but inexperienced users provide damaging answers. NO, you cannot go even 1 month without printing *because* the ink dries out which prevents the printer from printing. All inkwell must be filled for this printer to perform normally. [Kind of similar to White-Out product's, when not used they dry up].

Answer:	I honestly have no idea. Sorry. I couldn't tell the difference just by looking at it. However I would defer to the manufacturer's own attestation in this case. If their website states acrylic - then that's what we would have to believe is actual material. If it is important enough for you to know before making your purchase - I'd recommend just giving Lifetime a call directly - and get it from "the horse's mouth". That is the best option. In my opinion, a purchase of this size warrants at least a call.

Question:	Does it print in 12 x 12 paper
Answer:	No, the maximum size this machine can print is 8.5"x 14".
Question:	I only want to print using black ink. Do I need to have all of the colors installed, or can I use black by itself
Answer:	Install the color as well and just never use it. Before print it’ll give you an option to choose color or black and you can also just use black.
Question:	Does it scan
Answer:	Yes, The Brother MFC-J491DW All-in-One inkjet printer Scans, Prints, Copies and double sided print/copy. The Unit should Fax however I do not the Fax capability installed. awesome little printer.
Question:	If you run out of a color cartridge, will it print in black
Answer:	No! I cannot get mine to print in black and white when any color cartridge is empty. It does NOT automatically print in black only and even when I change the settings, it refuses to print. Once I replaced the color cartridges, it happily printed in black and white again. I've never had a printer do this.

Question:	If you run out of a certain kind of ink, (like black or magenta) will it continue to print with the ink cartridges you have left
Answer:	There are 2 front load trays (no back feed). The large tray is on the bottom (for 8-1/2 x 11"); small tray is in the middle (for 5x7 and smaller). With the small tray, make sure you line up arrows when installing; it can easily be pushed in to far. Both these trays are auto feed. Answer:	Yes you can
Question:	can you keep the printer on without turning it back on everytime
Answer:	My printer came with the ink cartridges.
Question:	does it work with non genuine ink
Answer:	No, the 630 came with 410 ink and I also bought the 273, but after talking to Epson who said this printer requires 410, I returned and cancelled the 273. The 273 is for the old 600 printer. I know the cartridges looks identical, but I wouldn't take the chance! Amazon should stop posting that comment in frequently bought with this printer!
