Answer:	Yes. The Dremel 3D software is compatible with both .OBJ and .STL files.
Question:	Does it use a Proprietary filament or can it use any standard 1.75 PLA purchased from Amazon
Answer:	According to Dremel -> The Dremel 3D Idea Builder was designed and optimized for use Dremel PLA filament. Other filament may cause damage to the machine and will void the warranty.That being said because the filament by Dremel was not available at the time I did my review and I ran out of the original dremel filament I did buy replacement filament by 3D Solutech (1.75 PLA 2.2lbs spool) and will confirm it works. The spool does not "lock" into the printer, however it does fit in the spool grooves and still rotates and feeds into the print head with no issues. Just know that going non-dremel brand you may lose your warranty. You could if you wanted to wind filmant onto the dremel spool and get it to "sit/lock" correctly if you are concerned about it. For me it works perfect without locking it in and placing it in the spool groove at the bottom of the printer.
Question:	what can't the 3d printer make
Answer:	Puppies. Unless you are talking about small plastic puppies. Then it can do that. Real puppies though, not at all

Answer:	7"x10" is no go unless you print in 2 parts and glue together.4"x7" is possible in one go on this machine but your molds will give you chocolate that shows all the layers of plastic.Also polycarbonate prints will likely leech PBA into the chocolate like crazy.I recommend vacuum forming for food molds.Look up leaftechllc dot com. That guy can make vacuum molds for you for hobby prices.
Question:	Can anyone reccomment a 3D scanner? What are the things to look for in a 3D scanner? I'm looking to scan items maybe about 6" or more in size
Answer:	3D Systems sells a tethered hand scanner for about $400. It works well, if you have a systems requirement appropriate PC and don't rotate the scanner clockwise/counterwise while scanning - will lose lock on the object if you do so. Will also lose lock if you move in closer than 15 inches to the object. The slower you scan, the better the resolution, right up to fabric texture. They also make a version for an iPad.

Question:	The printer only prints the preloaded bird image on the micro sd. i assume something is wrong on the printer config on each file. what sw can i use
Answer:	If you're having a software issue I would recommend Ultimaker Cura for slicing the 3d Models to function with the printer. Ultmaker is a free software and there's plenty of tutorials online for setting up the software to match this machine. It's possible that your software may also be saving the files within a folder instead of the Micro SD card. I'd say plug your SD card with the Micro SD card inserted into your PC then see if the preloaded bird file is visible as soon as you open up the SD card extension to view the files. If it's there with your other 3d files then it's possible that you need a different software, however if you only see the bird file as soon as the SD card is opened then it's as simple as finding your models that you've exported from the slicer software and dragging them into your SD card storage. As a note: *If you plug in the SD card without the Micro SD inserted into it then nothing will show up whatsoever. *Before you remove the SD card from your PC also be sure to "eject" the drive so that nothing gets corrupted. If file corruption happens all you need to do is format your SD card (which will clear all data on it, but if the data's corrupt you won't be able to access it anyways thus making it useless) and when you save to removable drive after format all files will transfer on as normal. The main thing is to make sure you "eject" every time before you remove the SD card from your PC.
Question:	Can i print flexible tpu filament
Answer:	I am actually able to print with TPU on this printer. In fact it has proven easier to print with TPU than PLA. Use 220c to 230c to print. heat bed at 60-70c of course this is at your own risk as the manufacturer does not agree.
Question:	Does the slicing software support the MAC system
Answer:	Yes, our slicing software supports Windows and Mac, If there is any problem with slicing software, please contact us via email([email protected]).

Question:	I am looking to purchase a 3D printer as a gift for a beginner. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thank you
Answer:	My son is 15 and he handpicked this one as a gift. He doesn’t know that I’ve purchased it, but he was very adamant that this was the best one. If the recipient is very technically inclined, I think it would be a great fit. I’ve read tons of reviews and watched several on YouTube. Once it’s properly assembled ( does seem to take some time), then operation is suitable for a beginner (again, must be very technically inclined). My son did request a different type of filament that I also purchased on Amazon, because the included roll isn’t that great. I don’t remember which one I purchased, but it was about 20.00. He also suggested getting or building a table to sit it on, as you should not sit it directly on the floor. He’s making one to put beside his desk, but I’m sure any small table would do. I’m very excited myself to see it in action, but I guess I’ll have to wait until Christmas.

Answer:	It is very straightforward, but the downloadable PDF instructions leave a lot to be desired. I highly recommend using the top-rated "how to build" video, along with the PDF. Question:	How well does this printer work with what I would call 'overhangs', meaning protrusions or horizontal elements that are non supported
Answer:	My classroom's Makerbot can do short overhangs ok, but anything more than half an inch sags a lot, to the point that there is little to no layer adhesion. It does support material pretty well, though.

Answer:	No it does not. Also, this printer is not supposed to print ABS. It does not seem to have a heated bed and I cannot tell if it has cooling fans. In other words if it even *can* print ABS, it is highly likely that every part you printed would be horribly warped.

Answer:	The system requirements for 3D Sprint, the software included with the printer, call for Windows 8/10 (64 bits). There may be third-party packages for MacOS. I would suggest contacting 3D Systems directly.

Answer:	1) The FabPro 1000 has a build size of 125 x 70 x 120 mm/4.92 x 2.76 x 4.72 in (XYZ). Layer thickness and vertical build speed vary depending on the material used. 2) Our 3D Printer works with the following Client Operating Systems: Windows® 7, Windows 8 or Windows 8.1 (Service Pack), Windows 10 (64-bit OS supported). Linux OS is NOT supported. 3) The Printer uses 3D Sprint software, which comes standard with every FabPro 1000 purchase. This robust additive manufacturing software streamlines printing preparation through file importing, editing, repairing, and slicing and optimizes part placement on the platform with support creation and nesting.
Question:	Can it be used for dental? can crown and bridge, dentures or any of the nextdent resins for dental? does the slice include the profiles
Answer:	I have not yet had the system setup and tested (scheduled soon), but if you go to 3D Systems website, you will see that they have been marketing this unit to dentists, with a special dental resin specifically for the FabPro 1000. 3D Systems has been seeking niche markets - like custom jewelers - who can cut turn-around time and costs by utilizing the FabPro 1000. Question:	Is the only difference between this and the 452dw the color touch screen and print speed? 452dw is considerably cheaper, not even a memory upgrade

Answer:	It's a snug fit, but you can push it out from the underneath to remove it. I've reviewed a number of VHSC tapes with no problem.
Question:	Does this make copies? I see some places it says auto doc feeder and other places says no
