Answer:	I'm having the same issue. I installed mine via my WIFI network and apparently when you do it that way it doesn't auto select and the directions don't explain it. I was reading in one of the forum on the Brother site and it explained how to install to get the auto select to operate. I just don't remember how to do it considering I need my network capabilities more than the auto select.
Question:	Can the scanning function create a multiple-page pdf file? Or will I end up with a separate pdf file for every page that I scan

Answer:	No! I cannot get mine to print in black and white when any color cartridge is empty. It does NOT automatically print in black only and even when I change the settings, it refuses to print. Once I replaced the color cartridges, it happily printed in black and white again. I've never had a printer do this.

Answer:	My experience is only business. It works well for letters, Cad Drawings up to 11X17.. I have used it with heavy paper, but not card stock. The color graphics is OK, but may not be so great for photos.

Answer:	Page 309 of the instructions covers the procedure for VoIP usage. If you plug in to the modem and get a dial tone, all is good. If not, call your provider for further instructions. I don't use landline, so I don't fax.

I use the older OS X 10.10.5 and not the recommended OS 10.11.6 or higher and my iMac provide me the right diver right away when I connected the printer to my wireless network and everything works fine. Answer:	I bought these for my Dad - and he wears a size 8 - so I bought the next size up to insure they fit and were not snug. I'm sorry if that doesn't help you. I can tell you this - my Dad LOVES these slippers - he even wore him to the store the other day. lol

Answer:	I take a 11 shoe. Iordered 11 slippers, too big. Ordered a 10 too big, sent both back, thats my experiance.

Answer:	The bullet-points at the top of the page indicates that they are machine washable, but mine arrived with a tag that reads, "Do not machine wash or dry."

Question:	Color printer, copier,scanner, two sided and fax OR just black
Answer:	Brother has an android app to allow printing from most any android phone. It does a good job.
Question:	is toner included
Answer:	It does print double sided and I've printer a word document double side.But if the document is complicated with pictures, columns or tables, my experience is that the printer does A LOT of jamming.

Answer:	I just got my printer in now (Brother MFC-J870DW) and it didn't come with ink (not even starter ink). However, it may have been because I bought the bundle package from the start. That comes with the printer + ink cartridges.

Answer:	I called Brother to get this question answered: 1 (877) 276-8437. Yes it will print using only black ink, although it is not automatic. Go to Printer Preferences, Advanced tab, select color: check 'grey scale'. It was really a pleasure to help you with this. I learned something myself.
