Answer:	You can insert items up to 9 inches wide. The machine has the option of using a 5 inch cartridge if you're going to be doing smaller items so there is less waste.

Answer:	Yes, you would just need to buy the magnet cartridge.
Question:	Would these make small decals for plastic hardhats, usually 3/4" by 1 1/2"? Would the stickers adhere to plastic? Can they handle water/washing
Answer:	Yes it would take the small decals. There would be no problem with the stickers adhering to the plastic. Use the 5 mil film as it is the strongest. When cutting the decals leave a small amount of plastic around the decal. I have never washed anything yet. But I used the heavy duty 5 mil for my daughter's first grade class name tags that stay on the desks all year. Students often have water bottles on their desks as well as juice bottles and I thought the heavy plastic would protect from spills. So far all is good. So I think it would work. Hope this helps?
Question:	The demonstration video shows 4x6 photos being laminated. The results look terrible. The pictures have many creases in them. Is this true
Answer:	Hi Sharon, the video shows 'edge to edge' adhesive (either permanent or repositionable) being applied to the rear of the photos, they are not being laminated. The creased sheet on the front of the photos is removed before the photo is placed on the project. Hope that helps.

Answer:	You can save them as long as you don't peel them off of the strip they are stuck on when you crank them out.

Answer:	Sure it would work, but let me explain one thing about these little plastic machines: They thread a tape of stickyback that is about 2 inches wide or so. So if you are feeding something into it that is really tiny, it is going to be a headache. Although the truth is that I have stuck ALL KINDS OF THINGS THROUGH THESE including plastic jiggly eyes and furry fabric. The bigger the thing is you wanna make sticky (within these size limitations) the easier it is. But it absolutely will *not* rip the paper unless you are using something like tissue paper. In fact the business-card items I have shoved through worked best. Hope you have an excellent time.

Answer:	I guess I misunderstood the term "sticker paper" - no, you do not need anything other than the roller paper that comes with the Xyron.

Answer:	You can reduce waste by positioning the machine so that you can see the area as your item comes out and stop cranking the lever as soon as it has cleared the machine. If you have multiple items to put through the machine you can feed them in so the emerge in a continuous strip, placing each item very close behind the end of the preceding item. This method also reduces waste. Small/narrow items can be placed side by side and run through that way also.

User questions & answers

Question:	Will this AmazonBasics laminator work with other brand laminating pouches? Has anyone tried this for example with the smaller Scotch brand pouches
Answer:	Any "hot" laminating sheets are supposed to work. I use the "Universal" brand ones that I bought from Amazon and they work great. There are several sizes. The one I use most often is model 84642 which are business card size.
Question:	Can you laminate numerous pages one right after another or do you need to wait? Need to laminate about 22 pages. Thanks
Answer:	Short answer is yes, I have done 30 pages with no problem. I run a page and while its going I set the next one up. Might be a few seconds in between but thats about it, no waiting.
Question:	Are the resulting laminated items stiff or really flexible? I usually laminate at Kinko's and the results are a harder laminate
Answer:	With this machine, which uses either 3mil or 5 mil thick laminating sheets... your final product would be somewhat flexible. . . Kinkos probably uses 10 mil. thick laminate sheets, which would be more ridgid.
Question:	I keep having problems with this not feeding the sheets through properly - they keep getting crinkled around the edges and folding in the machine
Answer:	Also had this issue when not laminating something that filled the laminating sheet. Solved it by cutting a small square of paper into two triangles and inserting them into the first corners I was feeding into the machine. They started going through smoothly.
