| Answer: | I recommend not using the lubricant sheets and using the actual ideal shredder oil itself. The shredder oil will do a better job of coating the entire cutting head compared to a lubricant sheet which may be dry and not spread across all blades of the head. You can oil your shredder by directly squirting oil across the feed opening and then shredding paper or take a sheet of paper and squirt lines of shredder oil all over it and then shred this piece of paper. There are a variety of shredder oils on the market but we recommend for ideal shredders to use our blend since it's petroleum based, high cling, and non detergent. |

| Answer: | I'm not sure. What I will say is that this unit is GREAT! I've used a number of shredders and this one beats them all. Being able to put stacks in and have it self feed is great. I had to clean out my family home with 50 years of documents - I stacked the stuff to be shredded and this handled it without a problem. I Lub it regularly to make sure it works. |

| Answer: | The manual is printed in Germany...and has several different languages...starting with German then English. On the back of the Shredder unit it says: MADE IN GERMANY!I am very pleased with this shredder as it makes quick work of stacks of papers using the feeder or the bulk slot entry. I would recommend it. |
| Question: | What is the difference between hsm lubricants # 314, #315 and #316? i see amazon.com offers all three |
| Answer: | I've never had it shut down due to overheating. I've used mine for 4 years without that happening. It comes with some light oil to periodically oil the blades through the paper feed. I think this helps it stay cool. I use a little after I shred heavily and still have some left. I'm very happy with it. |
