Answer:	Yeah I know what you're talking about. Just over 40 years ago when I started playing harp the MB Hohner and Blues harp were the go to harps of the day without much else to compare to. Since that time for the past 25 years or so I found that the special 20 to be my go to harp for most of my playing . Lee Oscar is also solid but I find them better for single note draws and blowing. I'm not a techy over analytical harp player but I know what I hear and feel and I would have to agree with your air leak analogy compared to the other harps I mentioned. This is not to say the MB is a crappy harp. It requires a different approach and effort to coax the right sound out of them. I enjoy playing MB accoustically better than mic. Question:	Are these harps the standard diatonic or something else
Answer:	Compared to a metal harmonica the plastic set is no match. I bought the peidmont blues set to get an ear for each key but after a month or so I ended up buying a set of Hohner Special 20's. The sound of the special 20's is far superior to the peidmont set. The plastic body leaks more air, and the reeds are of lesser quality and are very difficult to use for bending and actual playing. I would tell you to spend more and buy a set of special 20's, but if you want a decent case only then the piedmont set should suffice. Bottom line is you're better off spending more on better quality harmonicas. Or even just spending 10 bucks more on one special 20 and not even buying this piedmont set.Happy Harpin'! - Mark

Answer:	This is a simple, primitive instrument that is centuries old. It's extremely easy to play and much easier than more sophisticated instruments. I found this easier than both the recorder and the harmonica (I have and play both). The "trickiest" part of learning how to play an ocarina is learning proper breath control. You can blow a note sharp or flat depending on your breath pressure (unlike more complex instruments). I do recommend this for beginning musicians.

Answer:	Given the fact that the St Louis (STL) Ocarina Trio is a professional music group out of the St. Louis School of Music, I assume their standards of quality and accuracy in tuning would be higher. As I understand it, Ocarinawind imports and sells ocarinas from Asia. While their instruments are decent, I have to assume STLs are probably better.
