Answer:	Thanks for asking, The top of Vangoa mandolin bridge sits on 2 wheels which move up or down when turned. This raises and lowers the action. To measure the action, check the height of the strings of the fret at the 12th fret with the string at the first fret. You can use a feeler gauge or a little ruler to measure the string height. Fifty Thousandths (0.05) of an inch on the bass strings and forty thousandths (0.04) on the treble strings will allow a clean tone with comfortable playability. If the action feels stiff, you can lower the bridge. If there is string buzz, raise it. Question:	Stupid and newbie question, how am I suppose to restring this ukulele? The saddle is not the typical saddle similar to classical guitars
Answer:	Metal strings will likely break the bridge (which is soft and made for nylon knots anyways) and if not, will over time bend the neck. This is also why electric ukes (with electromagnetic pickups) are so rare. You would be much better served by a mini 4-string guitar; tuned GCEA to play ukulele songs.
Question:	how do you determine what size to buy
Answer:	Concert Ukulele The concert ukulele is the very similarly constructed big sister of the soprano ukulele. The concert uke therefore maintains many of the same stylistic features as the soprano ukulele, and sounds much more similar to the soprano than to the tenor ukulele. The concert ukulele is usually around 23 inches long; with a slightly bigger body than the soprano, which produces a somewhat richer, warmer tone. Ranch concert ukele has 18 frets, This gives the concert ukulele an extended playing range over the soprano ukulele, making it a preferable choice for ukulele soloists. The longer body of the concert means that the frets, are spaced further apart - and so the concert ukulele is considered to be easier to navigate for people with slightly larger hands. The extra room on the concert ukulele, along with its extended range, allows players to perform more technical skills on the uke while still maintaining the classic 'soprano-like' sound of the original Hawaiian ukulele. Tenor Ukulele The tenor ukulele is like the big brother of the soprano, being slightly deeper in tone and bigger than both the soprano and the concert ukulele. The tenor ukulele is around 26 inches long, has 18 frets, and has a significantly larger body than the soprano and the concert. While the playing range of the tenor is very similar as that of a concert ukulele, the tone that the larger body of the tenor ukelele makes it very different in sound quality to the concert and the soprano. The tenor is sometimes snubbed for not having the same 'ukuleleish' sound or feel as a soprano; however it has been embraced by many ukulele performers because of its increased projection and warm tone, which make the tenor perfect for solo acoustic performances. The frets on the tenor are spaced further apart than on the soprano and concert, making it slightly harder to play (or easier to play - depending on the size of your hands). If you are a beginner player, you will usually be advised to start on the concert or the soprano ukulele, however the tenor does suit some players much better, so it is best to pick up a tenor ukele and try it yourself before you decide - regardless of the advice of others.

Answer:	Ukuleles need specially formulated nylon strings. Aquila (brand name) utilizes patented Nyglut nylon strings. Ernie Ball strings are a monofilament nylon string. Nylon guitar strings will not work. In other words, there is no "difference"- Aquila is a brand name. The material is nylon, although uke strings are made from specific types of nylon. Before nylon, people used "catgut strings" that were made from the intestines of animals (usually not cats, though). The name Nylgut is "Nyl" plus "gut".

Question:	I noticed in the ratings, someone said the ukulele is a concert model. which is it? concert or tenor? This may be my ukulele
Answer:	Please be very careful if you use the regular guitar picks they include with this bundle. If not careful, using them can scratch up the surface of the ukulele. I just put my set of regular guitar picks that came with this in my acoustic guitar case. They do make felt picks to use with a ukulele. I'm not sure why the company didn't just include one or two of those instead. They could have done away with including actual guitar picks with this and put something that was used properly with a ukulele like felt picks but I don't even see anyone using any picks with a ukulele. What they could have done was use felt ukulele picks with the included accessories or not include any picks and put an actual ukulele capo in with it. The guitar picks are not intended for the ukulele. Not normally, anyway. A capo would have made this deal even sweeter. Things they could have included with this bundle INSTEAD OF regular hard plastic guitar picks not intended for a ukulele would be: String winder (used for restringing/changing the strings - it goes over the tuners to wind them or unwind them faster, by hand) Capo - one made specifically for a ukulele and not a regular guitar Felt Picks (even though I've never seen any ukulele player use any picks)

Answer:	If you are tiny and want a uke the size of a toy, buy a soprano size. This concert size Donner is the perfect size. Not a toy at all. I do not understand how anyone with normal sized hands could even play a soprano uke because the strings and frets would be so close together. Also the sound of this concert size Donner is beautiful, not tinny, because it is a little bigger. This concert size is still small, still sounds like a uke, but more what I, as a 5' 5" 120 pound woman would consider a comfortable fit and perfect size for a uke. You will love the sound. I also have a Kala baritone uke tuned like a guitar. It does not sound like a teeny, tinny uke. But the metal frets on it cut my hands. This Donner is much better finished and they look very much alike as far as the wood. This Donner is beautiful in every way. You will love it. Have fun. Enjoy. Answer:	HECK NO! You'll want a baritone uke at least! A little more seriously, baritone ukes are tuned D-G-B-E (like 4 strings of a guitar) instead of usual uke G-C-E-A. It's a good thing to know if you're coming from a guitar background. Less seriously, ONLY an electric bass can Djent! I'm afraid you are djentless, my friend.

Answer:	All ukuleles are small, and if you have larger hands, you might find the short scale of a soprano to be cramped. No ukulele could be called "too big", so try to find a shop that has all four sizes and decide which is most comfortable for you. The tenor is easy to play and has more depth and "punch", but the little soprano wins on charm.
Question:	many reviews mention instrument not holding tune. is this due to poor tuners, or just string stretch that occurs on any instrument
Answer:	Read the reviews. My wife loves hers. Mine developed a crack in the top within two weeks of owning it and I returned and swapped for a Kala KA-S. I think that my wife's less expensive Kala KA-15S has a nicer tone than mine. But yes, it's good quality. It's made of lovely wood too. A very beautiful little instrument. I recommend buying from Amazon and saving the shipping materials until you're sure you love it. Returns are free on Amazon...for a time. :)
Question:	Is the ukulele that comes with the starter kit the ka-15s because it says ltp-s on the inside of the instrument
Answer:	That's how ukuleles are suppose to be strung traditionally. Its called re-entrant and a few other stringed instruments do this as well. And most teaching material is for ukes strung that way. Don't rearrange the strings or it will be impossible to use chord the standard chord fingerings. If you want linear tuning (like on guitar) you have to by strings that say "low g" on the package. That way the finger patterns still work. But I wouldn't do this if I were a beginner because it will sound less like a traditional ukulele if you did that. Some people do that but those people are purposefully trying to create a unique sound, and they usually do it on a tenor ukulele, not soprano.
Question:	can strings be replaced when they break by standard strings
Answer:	I got one for me and my sister. Most low cost ukuleles are unplayable until you have them set up and restrung with better quality strings. Not this one. It comes ready to play out of the box, it just takes a couple weeks until the strings don't fall out of tune, but that's true of all nylon strings.

Answer:	We were prepared to tune this new ukulele for at least a week or so until the strings settled. Most of strings stayed in tune almost perfectly after a few tunings. The E string is the only one that resisted for several days, and now the strings only need slight fine tuning!

If you want a low G string, you need to purchase a low G string separately and replace that yourself. It's not hard to do, pretty simple. There's youtube videos on how to change strings. Answer:	Most ukuleles are Symmetrical or the same holding one direction or the other. All you have to do to make it left handed is reverse the order you attach the strings. It will come right handed. Just remove the strings and put the bottom on the top the top to the bottom and switch positions of the middle two. So from a right hand perspective it will be aecg instead of gcea

Question:	The tuner won’t show the correct notes. Is this normal at first with new strings
Answer:	Don't think so. Even though in all other respects, the instrument is symmetrical, the bridge is asymmetric, and is angled for thuning with the G on top (for right handed strumming). If you can change that, however, I imagine it is feasible.
Question:	How wide is the body
Answer:	The ukulele they shipped to me- the tenor made from Koa 26 inches long and the scale length is 17" which is standard. I don't know why it says 27" if its not, but its not.
Question:	Does the high gloss affect the sound quality
Answer:	I’m not sure. I don’t think we can get a solid Koa instrument at this price. The instrument is very well made and sounds great.

Question:	Does This Uke have a solid top
Answer:	If I understand your question, follow these instructions. If I misunderstood, my apologies. Leave the C for Chronograph setting in the lower left, until the strings stretch out and break in a bit and then switch to Ukulele. To switch these settings, once the tuner is on, briefly tap the on/off button to scroll through the settings. Start with G, the first string and strum and tighten the respective tuner until the display goes through the alphabet to G, and then get it in the middle and green. Do the same to the next string, C, and respective tuner, and so on. For the last string/tuner, you have to tighten all the way through the alphabet, past G, to A.
Question:	is the ukelele - a5 glossy
Answer:	At its widest point I measure it as 8 15/16”. 2” thick. Please note it does have a arched back panel. It is truly a beautiful instrument for this price point. Very light, and has good volume.
Question:	Does this come with a gig bag
Answer:	No it doesn’t as is not a very thick layer. The thin body affects sound projection but is compensated by the curved back. Over all I don’t feel much of a difference in the sound from a regular body uke I have of the same size.
