Answer:	It would be a great uke for a beginner. It has a lovely mellow tone and is quite nice looking as well. It has held tune very well, too. I bought this as a starter uke for my son and I was quite pleased with the quality. Now just to remind you, this is a baritone uke which is different from a soprano uke. Different tuning. It's tuned like a guitar and has a lower, fuller tone than the soprano uke. But I think this will be a great uke for you. It's economical but still looks and sounds great. In response to Andrew's answer below, please don't believe that this is not a "proper uke". Just as there is a soprano, a tenor, and an alto sax, there are also baritone and soprano ukes. They are all "proper" but just different and they have very different sounds and personalities. I'm 56 and have been playing the baritone since I was 12 and it's a great instrument.

Answer:	No it is not. Finish is more matte or satin perhaps. The solid spruce top one is glossy. I have both and both play very nice. Action was high on both so sanded down the bridge on both for playability.

Question:	Can you play w o pa speaker
Answer:	Aquilla sells a single low g string to replace the high g it has, or they have a low g set for a little more. The set you buy should match the size of your ukulele, (concert or tenor). I don't know what might be available in other brands. I tried Martin strings first and returned to Aquilla because they sound better to me. I find the low g useful in using my guitar fingerpicking skills on the ukulele, and I can play single note blues runs using the same box shape as a guitar. In strumming, there doesn't seem to be much benefit, because the fingering is just the same- it may sound a little different in tone, but the song will still sound right. Bear in mind that I'm a self taught front porch guitar picker who uses a ukulele for a travel and late night practice instrument, so results may vary.
Question:	Which string(s) should i get if i want the low g? is there anything i should know baout doing that
Answer:	Low G, I've heard it can be both. Very impressed with this baritone, fit, finish, sound and a truss rod. I haven't had to adjust it yet although summer is not quite here yet in NE. My advice, don't overthink this baritone, I passed on a Lanakai and got this because it's all solid wood due to the cost, and I am very pleased.
Question:	Is the 4th string a high G or a low G, please
Answer:	Yes. It also comes with an Allen wrench to adjust it.
Question:	is there a truss rod on the tenor acoustic/electric version
Answer:	This idea has some merit, and it seems worthy of a try. On the plus side, the 23U strings squeaked less than the usual Aquila strings, and they are durable. On the minus side, some people got poorly assembled sets. I am going to replace the 23U strings on my baritone soon. I know it is not a proper test, but I will try the used strings on one of my tenors, and I will let you know how it goes.

Answer:	Yes it does come with a cover over the truss rod part. It's at the headstock area where it meets the neck. There are 3 screws that go along with the cover.

Answer:	They must have changed since 2017. Mine ( bought in 2019 ) has nice quality strap buttons. By the way the strap is also nice.

But all nylon instruments need to be tuned constantly at the very beginning until the strings have extended and settled to retain the correct tune. Going out of tune is normal for new strings. Answer:	It is made of the spalted maple.Spalted Maple, this wood is actually a dead or decaying maple. This kind of material is matched with lacquer to make the piano's sound range wider, and the appearance is more beautiful. Generally, two pieces of the same texture are used together.

Answer:	The width of nut is just shy of 1 3/8 in. The uke plays great and the sound is great. It is a beautiful instrument and plays well. I have 7 ukuleles and this is my favorite.
