Question: | How do I get this to sound great tuned in E |
Answer: | You can buy a set of E strings from Cordoba. |
Question: | Anyone know the difference between the cordoba mini o version and mini m version |
Answer: | Hello Giles, the difference is a matter of materials used: Mini M - Top Wood:Solid Spruce Back & Sides Wood:Mahogany Mini O - Top Wood:Solid Ovangkol Back & Sides Wood:Ovangkol There's lots of YouTube videos of the Córdoba Mini's, would be a good idea to get an impression from there! Good luck and kind regards, Victor, the Netherlands |
Question: | What is the length of the guitar. Would it play comfortably for my 4'3" child |
Answer: | The Mini M is 30.5" long, scale length is 510mm. This is the same as a ½ size guitar. That is a perfect size for a child 4'3" tall. You might also consider the Cordoba C1 Protege ½ size or the Cordoba C5 Requinto which is also ½ size. We provide free setup in our shop before shipping for all guitars. Please let us know if we can help. Thanks,DanielCalido Guitars |
Question: | Can I use regular classical strings guitar? Which tension |
Answer: | Yes, you can. I recommend the D'Addario EJ94 Requinto strings. It sounds really good. The scale length of the Cordaba Mini is 20". The length of a classical guitar with a capo on the 5th fret is 19.2". So the same A tuning on the Cordoba Mini using classical guitar strings makes it too high tension. The Requinto scale length is 21.3", making the strings somewhat lower tension on the Cordoba Mini. I like normal tension and found that it is much easier to play with the D'Addario EJ94 Requinto than with classical guitar strings (I tried both). Use a bead to tie up the strings as other said. |

User questions & answers
Question: | What gig bag do you recommend for this |
Answer: | Cordoba 1/4 Size Guitar Gig Bag is the exact match. I bought one from sweetwater for 50$. |
Question: | Is there a truss rod |
Answer: | There’s a truss rod and a key comes with it. One thing to bear in mind is that unlike the mini, This doesn’t ship with a case or bag. |
Question: | Is this guitar recommended only with Nylon strings |
Answer: | Definitely. Steel strings are a no-noon a classical guitar because the tension pull of the steel strings exceeds the design strength of the top. Classical guitars have thinner tops and lighter bracing under the top for reinforcement. Steel strings will eventually warp the top and cause the bridge to pull up. It also sounds bad. Get a smaller scale steel string guitar if you wish to playonsteel strings. Cheers. |
Question: | My mini guitar was strung with Savarez strings- what kind of savarez? There are many types -I love the strings & want to get a backup set- tension |
Answer: | The strings on the Mini II EB-CE are Savarez 500CJ high tension Corum strings. They are good, but you might want to give Savarez Cantiga Premium 510AJP a try. They are amazing strings and sound wonderful on this guitar. Sincerely, Daniel Calido Guitars |

Meet the New Mini II in Ebony, Cutaway + Pickup with On-board Tuner
After many years of success with the original Mini, we are excited to introduce a fresh new take on the travel-size nylon string guitar: The Mini II! The Mini II simplifies impromptu jam sessions thanks to a new scale length that suits Standard E tuning. With a narrow nut width, the neck feels at home for crossover players and beginners. The Mini II is now available in three exciting tone-wood options and while some short-scale instruments sound more “ukulele”, the Mini II’s voice skews guitar - warm and full.

User questions & answers
Question: | Please clarify—is this right or left handed? One comment says it is a great left handed guitar? I’m confused |
Answer: | The listing you have here is for right handed. There is a C5 Lefty, but it is a totally different listing. Thank you, Daniel Calido Guitars |
Question: | Can this product be used by right handed people by changing order of the strings |
Answer: | I agree with the previous response that you have to change the nut, but you also need to change the saddle as the bass side is higher than the treble, not much, but enough to cause buzzing on the bass strings sometimes. You can try it and see. If it buzzes on the basses, then you need to get a new saddle, too. Do you have a C5 lefty you want to convert? If not, then just buy a regular C5. If you are trying to convert, then contact us and we can send you a right handed nut and saddle. They are not expensive. Good luck!DanielCalido Guitars |
Question: | Does this guitar have a high action from the 10th fret onwards? Would the action be that of a classical guitar or a steel string acoustic |
Answer: | This is a traditional classical guitar, so the action will be consistent with a classical guitar. The only difference with this model is the cutaway. That being said, our shop can adjust the action of the instrument before shipping. If you prefer lower action, let us know. There are limits to how low it can be, however. |
Question: | How does the c5 spruce compare to the c7 sp |
Answer: | Both are solid Spruce top, the C5 has laminate mahogany back/sides, C7 has laminate Indian Rosewood back/sides. |

Question: | does this guitar come with a case |
Answer: | No - this guitar does not come with a case. |
Question: | Can you recommend the hard case for this guitar here in Amazon |
Answer: | By all means get the hard case and use it to store the guitar whenever not in use. The cedar -rosewood combination is quite sensitive to humidity so follow Cordoba's instructions for keeping humidity at proper levels both inside the case as well as inside the guitar itself. their website has good maintenance information. |
Question: | Codorba" has many different models, I would like to know which is the large full size guitar? Thanks in advance |
Answer: | I have the C7 and I looked at a C3 in a guitar store. Both were full size instruments. By the way, I love the one that I choose. Rich, clear tone! |
Question: | Can i please get the width of the string spacing at the bridge, from E TO E |
Answer: | Hi Dave. In answer to your query about the nylon string distancing at the bridge of my Cordoba C7 CD classical, the span twixt 'E' at the 6th string and 'E' at the 1st string; that distance is just a tad shy of 2 5/16", more like 2 9/32". I hope that helps. Moreover, if you are shopping around for a fine instrument for the money spent, my Cordoba is wonderful. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Is there a hard shell case available for this |
Answer: | I don't think so. Honestly, its not really very economical to protect a $200 instrument with a hard shell case. I do recall there being a gig bag that says Cordoba on it, but not positive. |
Question: | Does this have a truss rod |
Answer: | Yes, this instrument has a truss rod. |
Question: | What are actual dimensions? I can't believe its really 11+ inches deep, as listed |
Answer: | The bass is exactly 34 1/2 inches from head to output jack, 11 inches across from widest part of body, 8 1/2 inches from narrowest part. Body is 3 inches thick. |
Question: | What strings come with this instrument |
Answer: | D'Addario EXPPBB190GS - Coated phosphor bronze, nylon core, small acoustic bass (.037 - .090) |

Slightly larger than the Requinto 580, the Cadete is a 3/4 size guitar (615mm scale length). It has the traditional Spanish 7 fan bracing, a solid Cedar top and mahogany back and sides. Additional features include a hand inlaid wooden rosette, gold tuning machines with pearl buttons and a rosewood fingerboard. An adjustable truss rod is built into the neck. This is a great guitar for anyone looking for a lightweight, comfortable, and easy playing instrument. The Cordoba Cadete is easy to play, thanks to the 3/4 body size and 1.88 inches nut width. The smaller body size makes the Cadete ideal for younger players, or anyone who finds a standard-sized classical nylon guitar just a bit too big. And the 1.88 inches nut width makes it easier to form chords and change positions, great for new players or those transitioning from a standard acoustic or electric guitar.
- Solid Canadian cedar top
- Mahogany back and sides
- Lightweight, 3/4 size classical, 48mm nut width
- Savarez Cristal Corum strings in High Tension, 500CJ

User questions & answers
Question: | What is the total length of this guitar |
Answer: | Total length (end-to-end) is 37 1/4" vs 39 3/4" for my full-size guitar. |
Question: | Did this include a gig big |
Answer: | The Cadete. does not come with a gig bag. It must be purchased separately. Sorry.Daniel Calido Guitars |
Question: | String spacing at the nut and saddle, and neck width |
Answer: | According to the Cordoba website, nut width is 48mm, string spacing at saddle 55mm, and neck width is not listed. I own an older model of this guitar (2007?) and the neck is probably large U shaped in comparison to other smaller size guitars that I tried out like the baby Taylor; but far more comfortable to me, which is one of the reasons I purchased this guitar. |
Question: | Does it have pegs for a strap |
Answer: | No strap pegs on this classical-style guitar. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Does this include the gig bag?. As soon as i get answer to this question, I shall order it |
Answer: | This did not come with a gig bag. |
Question: | Cordoba mentions that this model comes with gig bag, in their comparision chart. Does it come with the gig bag |
Answer: | The one I bought was manufactured in china. |
Question: | Where is this manufactured |
Answer: | So this is a difficult question to answer. As far as I can tell, that is the exact same model as this one. The GK in the name does stand for Gipsy Kings. There's one of these models for sale here on amazon that comes with a gig bag, but it's the same guitar. If you are referring to the to GK Pro Negrea... Then there's a quite a few "differences". The Pro model is all solid wood construction, where as this one is only a solid top. The fretboard on the Pro is ebony (Feels better) and this one is rosewood (which doesn't feel bad) The Pro has "Premiere tuners," but I don't notice a difference. Q: Does the Pro Play better than this one? A: Sure does... Q: Does it play 3x better than this one as the Pro is 3x the price of this one? A: No... Being generous, I'd pay it's 15-20% 'better' to play on. Q: Okay does the Pro SOUND better? A: ...Kinda? I guess? I don't mean to sound condescending or elitist in the slightest, but if your in the market for a classical style guitar that's under $5,000 they will all have a real decent sound, you are probably not going to notice a significant difference. Classical guitar sound comes from the wood, and old wood is mostly considered superior. But you really can't mass produce Guitars out of +500 year old trees (kinda messed up really), we use much younger wood grown purposely to be cut down... and younger wood is not as dense as old wood. So most Guitars out there these days are all pretty close in quality aside from handmade customs crafted by master luthiers that get into new car levels of price. You needn't worry about it. I own both models and I end up playing this one more often than the other as I take it places. This model was a good buy for me, and in retrospect, it was the better buy than my Pro |
Question: | What is the difference between this model and "cordoba gk studio negra [gipsy kings signature model] acoustic electric nylon string flamenco guitar |
Answer: | These strings are to be used on a 12 string guitar. The smallest strings, gauge .011 are the first pair that goes on the high E string. The rest of the strings go on as pairs in increasing thickness from strings 2 to six. Look it up on youtube if you have more questions. |

More About the Luthier Series
The next level up from the Iberia series, Cordoba has developed the Luthier series, providing concert-level guitars for the serious musician. The Luthier series features Cordoba’s all-solid boutique models, which are completely handmade in a small workshop using carefully selected premium woods. These guitars are built with traditional Spanish heel construction, where the top of the guitar is attached to the neck, the sides are added next, and the guitar’s body is sealed by the installation of the back. The foundation of the Luthier series rests upon construction methods mastered by Spanish classical builders, most notably the Spanish heel and fan bracing. For the more modern player, Luthier series instruments may also feature lattice bracing, raised fingerboards for enhanced playability, and include cutaway-electric models with slimmer necks.

Question: | Does anyone know a similar price range bass that has a tuner (which works without being plugged in; unlike this one) and 2 strap buttons |

Answer: | My guitar measures 40 inches from the bottom of the bridge to the top of the headstock. The overall length of the guitar is 45 inches. |
Question: | can anyone tell me how loud the bass is? as in if i were to jam with a standard acoustic would i be able to hear the bass at a good volume |
Answer: | Un-amplified use? The body of this bass is smaller than a dreadnought guitar: lower bout 15 1/4 in., depth 4 1/4 in. The sound volume will be less, A-string and E-string volume is weak. |

Product description
Slightly smaller and far more slender than a typical acoustic, Ibanez's GA35TCE thinline nylon-string acoustic-electric guitar is a comfortable fit for anyone from flatpickers to finger stylists alike. To give the GA35TCE a clear voice that suits blues and country, rock and pop equally well, Ibanez built this workhorse acoustic guitar with a back and sides made from mahogany. A solid spruce top balances out the GA35TCE's deep and rich low end with an even balance of midrange clarity and high-end sparkle. And to top it all off, you're even ready to take the stage thanks to the GA35TCE's Fishman pickups and AEQ210T preamp/tuner system. The combination Ibanez chose, a spruce top on a mahogany back and sides, has been a favorite among songwriters and live performers since the beginning of modern American music. Together, these tonewoods give the GA35TCE acoustic-electric guitar warm and present lows and clearly defined highs, leaving plenty of space in the midrange for your vocals. Whether you're the humblest of Saturday afternoon porch pickers or the seasoned pro who's been hauled from show to show a time or two, this Ibanez GA35TCE acoustic-electric nylon-string guitar was made for you. Everyone needs an inexpensive acoustic guitar you can pack up, head out, and run off with anytime you need, without worrying about damaging any priceless instruments. But your "beater" guitar doesn't need to sound bad, and the Ibanez GA35TCE is more than proof enough of that. In fact, its natural acoustic sound makes it a great campfire guitar, but it's small enough to be your new favorite couch guitar as well. The built-in AEQ210T preamp (complete with XLR out!) sounds great plugged in, so you'll most likely find yourself holding your new favorite stage guitar too when you take your GA35TCE acoustic-electric on stage!
