Answer:	If you're going straight into the speakers from your iPhone you need a 1/8" stereo plug the splits to 2 1/4" plugs :)
Question:	How much easier will it be to mix with a pair of these over cheaper monitors (M-Audio BX5) considering a really crappy mixing room environment
Answer:	The same $700 will go a long ways towards acoustic treatment for your room. If the frequency response in your room is skewed, the finest monitors in the world won't be of much use to you. Treat the low frequency response of your room, then address any flutter/echo/slap-back issues in the mid and hi frequency range. Then, consider upgrading monitors. That being said, I love my HS80Ms, and they are a definite step above the M-Audio BX5.
Question:	Can these plugeed in your desktop computer
Answer:	The speaker has 1/4" TRS and inputs. You can use either of it to send the audio signal to each speaker. I have an audio interface (plugged into my computer via USB) and I use 1/4" TRS cables from the audio interface to the speakers.

Answer:	It comes with RCA cables. But a lot depends on what equipment you’d like to hook up. Do you have an interface, are you just using a laptop, and what speakers are you planning to connect to it. The subwoofer has a crossover and depending on what you like to connect to it you will need the cables to make those connections.

Answer:	Technically you can connect it as both units use 3.5mm jacks. However, it won't do anything for you. The jack on Nano is an ouput jack for a speaker or headset. The jack on the Amazon Dot is also an output jack - for the same thing. So, you are technically connecting two ouput devices. You won't hear anything on either of the devices. A better result would be to connect the Echo Dot to a speaker or use Bluetooth to connect it to the speaker

The neo magnet is strong and can handle a lot of heat. This enabled us to beef up the amplifier power without having to worry about melting or blowing the tweeter. The highs on these sound really good! I cannot wait for you all to hear it in person, because I cannot describe how good these sound! You really need to listen to them in person.

We use a 5.25” woofer that will out-perform a regular 5” woofer any day! The bass sounds amazing on these! Very clear and punchy! The woofer has an injection molded polypropylene cone. This is an engineered type of plastic that is used on many speakers today. It is strong and puts out a great sound. The rubber woofer surrounds increase sound quality and eliminate unwanted distortions. They sound better than foam surrounds in my opinion, which is why we went with rubber. The computer optimized electronic crossover network supplies amazing sounding highs, lows, and mids — basically it filters out unwanted frequencies from each component so that each speaker plays the right frequencies, which in turn allows the speaker to be louder without distorting. We use very high-grade crossover filters in our speakers. The specially wound voice coils produce accurate responses along the entire frequency spectrum. We developed the speakers with the most optimized magnet structure, cone, and cabinet space, with the goal of reproducing the sound to play back exactly the way it was recorded!

Answer:	grd. loop hum is generated by other hardware, audio/vidio equip. not correctly grounded plugged into the same circuit (as the speakers) within your space. the speakers themselves don't generate any hum, they only pick up the incorrectly grounded equip. hum already there. ground loop issues are not easy to correct but many times they have to do with a 'home theatre / cable/ set top box' set up. one way to eliminate grd. loop hum is to simply plug the speakers into a different circuit on your elect. panel, different from the plug and circuit picking up the hum. the other ways, more difficult, are to isolate the offending piece of equip. and/or correct the grounding issue with the: equip., circuit/panel wiring, overall space/house earth ground.
