Answer:	There are better choices for that -- you want speakers with a built-in mic preamp, and probably higher wattage amplifiers. You may also want folding speaker tripods. I suggest you puchase speakers designed for this, with a tripod screw hole on the bottom, and XLR mic inputs. For example, Bose EONS sound amazing for music as well. You may also wish to purchase a good wireless mic. Think of it as a system. The size of the room and the audience determine the required size and power of speakers.

Question:	How's the frequency range? I thought I read the specs somewhere, but can't find em now... How do these compare to the $500+ Sennheiser HD models
Answer:	Comfort wise these do NOT compare, AT labels them as over the ear but that only applies to kids and midgets. These press your ears against your head and will quickly cause discomfort. And in my opinion the 50X version sound very shrill, have very recessed mids, and have soundstage comparable to earbuds, overall unpleasant. Not worth the $100+ price tag. The senheisers are neutral and relaxed, some might desire more treble or bass but their purpose is balance. The sennheisers really shine in the mid-range, vocals really feel natural. The soundstage can very on models but overall great considering they are open back, instrument separation is very good. Overall they are worlds apart and can't really be compared as their purposes are very different. Consider other closed back headphones imo.
Question:	Is there a reasonably priced and easily installed earcup padding replacement parts kit available? Bad experience with dissolving AT earcups
Answer:	Yes. I bought these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075M4TRWR/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 last December and they are in fact superior to the OEM pads. Wish I'd purchased them sooner. They turned my A-T headphones into true noise cancelling headphones! The pads are that tight sonicaly to my ears, without causing discomfort or excess ear sweating. Love these pads, and especially my A-T headphones!

Answer:	Headphones don't drain batteries. They just talked the juice from the headphone amp. I think with the agent of so many consumer grade headphones with noise cancellation or built in amplifiers we have a slew of people completely confused and misinformed with the basics of audio gear. These are the same. people that would have to call a computer tech to plug in computer monitor to a computer. These are the same people that will give a bad review to ga reat product simply because that don't understand the products intended use.
Question:	How does it compare to the Monster Inspiration Active Noise Canceling Headphones
Answer:	Not sure about the Inspiration Actives but I have the regular Monster Inspiration over-ear headphones and they are just as capable and impressive as my ath-m50x. The people who are commenting saying the 50x is so much better than the Inspirations are showing true ignorance. The sound stage is actually slightly better on the Inspirations. Monster makes a wide range of headphones not all of which are just Beats clones. For people who own headphones like the Inspirations, the HD558's, JBL S500's... you will be disappointed if you think the ath-m50x will blow you away.

Answer:	These speakers are basic book shelf speakers. They will sound fine with most any type of home audio output device.

Answer:	grd. loop hum is generated by other hardware, audio/vidio equip. not correctly grounded plugged into the same circuit (as the speakers) within your space. the speakers themselves don't generate any hum, they only pick up the incorrectly grounded equip. hum already there. ground loop issues are not easy to correct but many times they have to do with a 'home theatre / cable/ set top box' set up. one way to eliminate grd. loop hum is to simply plug the speakers into a different circuit on your elect. panel, different from the plug and circuit picking up the hum. the other ways, more difficult, are to isolate the offending piece of equip. and/or correct the grounding issue with the: equip., circuit/panel wiring, overall space/house earth ground.

For material like Country, the bass is sufficient. Even for Rap and EDM you can adjust and place them just right, and estimate how things will sound on a big club or car system. But pairing the LSR305s with e.g. a LSR310S sub gives you the real thing, though sub placement is SO critical it's another rabbit hole.

Answer:	Some do. It’s normal. on the ones that do they are extremely quiet. The “hiss” is only audible while the speakers are not in use and is caused by the internal amp. I wouldn’t call it a hiss as much as it is just static noise from the amps unused electricity. If you don’t like that, maybe these aren’t the ones for you. But I will say that most other powered monitors I have used make this exact same noise. With mine mounted on the wall about 2 feet in front of me and 2 feet above me pointed down at my seat I cannot hear the hiss until ~90%+ volume, And again, exclusively when they are not in use. Answer:	don't know, bit speakers do sound good ..
Question:	Do i have a defective pair or all the mackir mr series "pop" when turning on or off
Answer:	Pops usually occur when there is signal going through the inputs. Your best bet is to turn down the signal all the way off going into the speaker. I would also look into how the speakers are plugged into the power source, make sure its grounded.
Question:	Anybody heard these to compare them with krk rockits? i have a 10s sub and 6in monitors i'm looking to maybe replace with these
Answer:	Don't know about the krk rockits, but I've used mackies pretty much my entire career, 450's as a mobile DJ, and now these as my home studio monitors. The beauty of Mackie is the richness of the highs, and the fullness of the bass in their equipment. Hope it helps.

Answer:	I’d use TRS or XLR cables. Looks like your equipment uses red and white aux cords

Answer:	As the photo on the product page shows, you would plug the male end of an XLR cable into the monitor for balanced operation. The monitors follow the standard practice of having female XLR connectors as inputs, just as you would find on mixing boards and other studio equipment. Outputs generally have male XLR connectors. To accomodate this, standard XLR cables have a male connector on one end and a female one on the other. An unusual arrangement, should you ever encounter one, would require a non-standard cable or a gender-changing adapter.

The Rockville APM8 Active Studio Monitor Comes in Pairs and each monitor is bi-amped. What this means is that there is a separate amp for the highs and a separate amp for the lows! Each speaker has 250 watts peak output power and 125 watts RMS giving you a total of 500 watts peak and 250 watts RMS per pair. We spent a lot of time developing the most premium studio monitors we ever built! I am very pleased and excited to talk to you guys about what we did to make these speakers sound as good as they do. Description of the enclosure:

We chose a wooden enclosure as opposed to a plastic enclosure. Your studio is made of wood for a reason. The sound characteristics of high quality wood are better than plastic. We only use the highest quality MDF wood. We do not bother with cheap particle board material when we want to make the best speakers. The thickness is 0.5” around and the front board is a full 1” thick to give you the best sound quality possible. The enclosure is built with the perfect amount of air space to maximize sound quality for a studio. Every studio or computer room should look beautiful. We believe speakers should enhance the look of a room. We make these speakers in 3 beautiful finishes. Painted black, painted white, and wood finish. We use “baking paint” made for wood surfaces. It is long lasting and the best paint for speakers! We went with a beautiful finish that is mostly matte with a slight shine to it. Our designers spent countless hours on the color to make sure it is not only beautiful but elegant as well to improve the appearance of your studio or room. We kept all the controls on the back of the speaker, which will keep the speaker looking very modern and elegant. The rear port is built to perfect spec to enhance the sound. The tweeter has a curved front bezel to make the highs crystal clear and distortion free.

Amplifier and Speaker Components Details: To get the most efficiency we use a class “D” amplifier. We use the best quality components from the most reputable circuit manufacturers in the world in order to produce crystal clear sound. Most brands do not like to reveal what’s in the guts of the speaker. We feel differently. For highs, we use a Ferro fluid enhanced 1.5" neodymium silk dome tweeters with metal grill protection. If you are an audiophile I am sure you have tested and love the sound of silk dome tweeters. The neo magnet is strong and can handle a lot of heat. This enabled us to beef up the amplifier power without worrying about melting and blowing the tweeter. The highs on these sound really good! I cannot wait for you all to hear it in person, because I cannot describe how good these sound! You really need to listen to them in person.

We use an 8” woofer. This will out-perform a regular 5” woofer any day! The bass sounds amazing on these! Very clear and punchy! The woofer has an injection molded polypropylene cone. This is an engineered type of plastic that is used on many speakers today. It is strong and puts out a great sound. The rubber woofer surrounds increase sound quality and eliminate unwanted distortions. They sound better than foam surrounds in my opinion, which is why we went with rubber. The computer optimized electronic crossover network supplies amazing sounding highs, lows, and mids. Basically it filters out unwanted frequencies from each component so that each speaker plays the right frequencies so that the speaker can go loud without distorting. We use very high-grade crossover filters in our speakers. The specially wounded voice coils produce accurate response along the entire frequency spectrum. We developed the speakers with the most optimized magnet structure, cone, and cabinet space with the goal of reproducing the sound to play back exactly the way it was recorded!
