Answer:	I have tested it with a 600 Watts Oster Blender and a Bosch driller at the same time, because I had to cut the power plug, for use a Neutrik NAC3FC-HC PowerCon, and it doesn't pop, or be hot, It is made to be reliable so it was made like a main power strip, I also connect it a 1600w vacuum cleaner and not a problem
Question:	What are it's electronic specs (i.e. clamping voltage, energy dissipation, and response time)? I'm looking for something for musical equipment
Answer:	Clamping Voltage = 400V. Surge Rating = 540 joules. Response Time = n/a. (Strangely, the response time is not available on the product website. I don't know if it means that it's a problem.) I would look elsewhere. There are a lot of other surge protectors that sell for less and provide better protection. It has a normal clamping voltage but its surge rating is low. So, it's going to stop working much earlier than other surge protectors. And, it's not like this really smooths out the line noise as it filters out only 20db (which is much lower than other devices). Frankly, I don't know why people would buy this, especially at this price ($30) and why it has a high rating. I guess the unit looks sturdy and looks like a heavy duty piece of equipment but it really isn't. The company is tricking you.

Question:	Does the unit balance the power within particular ranges? For example, would it add voltage during Brownouts? If not recommendations welcome
Answer:	I think you need to look at high quality UPS especially one that can rectify voltage/current or go to battery for outage. I bought a CyberPower CP1500PFCLCD PFC Sinewave UPS System recently and it's working flawlessly. Although for high-end audio you may want a Furman P-1800 PFR as power regulator. I actually use both in series and place my high-end audio equipment behind the P-1800 PFR.

Answer:	Hum has nothing to do with surge suppression. You either have an un-screened signal cable or a ground loop. Try connecting ALL equipment to the SAME outlet.

Answer:	The warranty is void if the unit is plugged into anything but an outlet. The warranty language does not seem to address plugging strips INTO the unit. See also Dan J's response, above.

Answer:	The unit does not heat up in any significant way. You would be fine putting it under a receiver.

Answer:	I cannot answer about the PST-8, but I am happy with my Elite 15i. Utilized for 4 months with no problems! Lots of bad weather, to include a few power outages, a i feel very protected. More so that the MonsterPower conditioners I used to use. A well made machine! Noticed a better, clearer picture using the Elite-15i.

Answer:	I don't know. My recommendation would be to contact Firman Electronics. I have found their customer service to be great. I can't give you the address, but Google Firman Electronics.

Answer:	There are numerous factors creating "ground loop" noise as opposed to 60MHZ hum. If a ground loop is present in a guitar or other equipment or by connection of multiple grounds. This device will not remove ground loop noise. The ground loop must be corrected. What this will do is clean up interference before it reaches the problem and possibly lessen noise when it does reach the problem. I own similar Furman products and highly recommend using them to protect sensitive audio equipment.

I save food jars that I like and think would look good on the table during a meal and mix my salad dressing and store it it the jars. Very fun and economical.

Question:	Does thia need a 20 amp line or can it be plugged in anywhere
Answer:	I am very critical with my Audio and video set up as I hate noise and this thing is pretty much close to totally silent. No hum noise at all.

Question:	I have a PS-R8 series II Furman, will this be a good replacement for home AV theater and music system
Answer:	The Unswitched Outlets on the front panel only has the Overload Protection, you could use them even when the unit is turned off, but they don't have the filtering function. Unlike the outlets on the rear panel.
Question:	If i have this plugged into a m-8lx, and just switch the m-8lx on/off will this still function properly
Answer:	No it does not. It will only tell you what the actual voltage is with the voltage drop of all things plugged into it. It will prevent from any spike damage not regulate. I usually plug into another source if it drops below 108v. Hope this helps.
Question:	What are the dimensions? I don't trust the listing since it says 3.5" high but it's obviously 1u
Answer:	They are incandescent. They are standard 4 watt night light bulbs. They can easily br changed to LED bulbs. They sell them at Home Depot. They are 7 watt equivalent using only .75 watts. Not sure if the dimmer will hurt the bulbs but if you leave the dimmer up all the way then it isn't an issue.
Question:	is this also a conditioner
Answer:	Nope. It has rack brackets already, but if you don't want to use it mounted in the rack, then lay it on the shelf or floor. However, the rack brackets are not removable.
