User questions & answers
Question: | Can i use this mixer connect to speaker , subwoofer and dj controller together |
Answer: | I’m assuming you would go with your DJ controller into this unit, then you could send the out to the sub and PA speaker. You might also be able to run a separate aux out to the sub and just give it more when you need to. Personally I would get a mackie 802 before I buy this. |
Question: | can i hook this to my crown power amp |
Answer: | Yes, I hook mine up to 2 crown Amps. I run them bridged made use one for the left channel and one for the right channel. |
Question: | Can this be used for live performance with output to PA and monitor ( one vocal and acoustic guitar |
Answer: | Yes you can. You have stereo monitor outs (called Control Room) as well as main outs, and they have independent controls. The control room outs share the same level as the HEADPHONES out, though. You do have an extra AUX out that can serve as a different send to a monitor, but it is mono. |
Question: | Is there a USB output |
Answer: | No USB Output on this mixer. Thank you, Sam Ash Direct |

Product description
Like the name says, the ProFX4v2 is a professional mixer, with convenient features and sound that rivals that of some larger format mixers. Mackie designed the Vita preamps with live sound in mind to provide the quality of sound that is lacking in some compact mixers. Each channel features its own individual 2-band EQ and 100Hz low-cut filter for shaping the sound of your inputs. The ReadyFX digital effects engine gives you access to 16 different effects including reverbs and delays - Mackie even added chorus effects for your guitar. A 5-band graphic EQ can be assigned either to your main outputs so you can fine tune the PA or the aux output to easily get rid of feedback in your monitors. If you perform with backing tracks there are inputs for your laptop or MP3 player, a headphone output with individual level control, and when you add to all that phantom power for your condenser mics and the convenience of a hi-Z input for direct instrument input, you have no reason NOT to own a ProFX4v2. Yes, the ProFX4v2 is exactly what you need for mixing when the gig calls for minimal inputs, but that's not where its usefulness ends. Since you'll be mixing from the stage, keep the ProFX4v2 right next to you and you can use the headphone output with a set of in-ear monitors for your performance and just leave your floor monitors at home. Drummers you can use it for monitoring too - take the aux mix from the front of house board that would have gone to your wedges and plug it in to a channel on the ProFX4v2. Once your mix is set you have complete control over sound shaping and volume without having to get the attention of the mix engineer. Keyboard players, you can use it to mix your multi-instrument rig straight into your amp onstage.
- 4 low-noise Mackie Vita mic preamps add life to any input
- ReadyFX effects engine with 16 effects including reverbs, delays, and choruses
- 5-band graphic EQ for tuning mains or monitors. Tough ABS side protection
- Aux output for monitor mixes, venue 70-volt systems, and more
- 3-band EQ and 100Hz low-cut filter on all channels
- NOTE:Please refer to the user manual before using the product

User questions & answers
Question: | If I purchase a powered mixer do I want a powered or unpowered mixer |
Answer: | An unpowered mixer is like the old stereo component sets where you have the power amp and the receiver that you add with the radio and you can also add a turntable. the powered amp is like having all of that attached in one case. Powered mixer gives you less stuff to transport while unpowered gives you a more control and a monster audio mixer but a lot more stuff to lug around. you also need to figure out what's important to you specifically, how many inputs and outputs and the master output. |

User questions & answers
Question: | There are three holes underneath profxj10v3. are they for mounting |
Answer: | Yes, there is an optional adapter you can get to mount it atop a mic stand for easy live access. |
Question: | Would like to get this mixer but some people say in reviews there are major issues with Windows 10; can a Mackie specialist please clarify |
Answer: | I’m not a specialist but I just downloaded the drivers from their website and it works perfectly for me. |
Question: | It says 2x4 usb i/o. does that mean i can get 4 channels into my daw simultaneously |
Answer: | Hello, 2x4 means that you have a stereo send to the computer and two stereo returns from your computer. The stereo output (1-2) to your computer can be used for recording, VOIP, etc, and you can return two distinct stereo tracks (1-2, 3-4) from your Mac/PC giving you the ability to route audio from different applications (DAW, Spotify, Youtube, etc) or sources (.mp3/WAV playback) from within your computer. |
Question: | I see that the mackie profx12v3 has a 48v phantom power switch. can non-phantom and phantom mikes be used at the same time? one be on, others off |
Answer: | Yes. Condenser microphones often require 48V phantom power. When the 48V phantom power switch is engaged on ProFX series mixers all channels have this extra voltage available. With phantom power, the voltage is effectively invisible to balanced microphones that do not use it, which includes most dynamic microphones. |
