I guess that is because it is intended to let someone monitor their voice relative to a background mixed signal. So, as far as stereo sound to your ears, no. If you are listening and unplug a channel you can hear that one channel is gone and some material is gone but it always sounds like it is in the middle of your head, not true stereo.
