10 best wireless guitar transmitters
Wireless Guitar Transmitters:
Wireless guitar transmitters are devices used by guitarists to eliminate the need for a physical cable connection between their electric guitar and amplifier or audio system. These wireless systems provide freedom of movement on stage, allowing guitarists to move around without being tethered to their equipment. Here's what you should know about wireless guitar transmitters:
Wireless Connectivity: Wireless guitar transmitters use radio frequency (RF) technology to transmit the audio signal from the guitar to a receiver unit connected to an amplifier or sound system. The receiver converts the RF signal back into an audio signal for amplification and playback.
Components: A typical wireless guitar system consists of two main components:
- Transmitter: This unit connects to the guitar's output jack and wirelessly sends the audio signal to the receiver.
- Receiver: The receiver unit connects to the amplifier or mixer and receives the wireless signal from the transmitter. It often has output options such as 1/4-inch jacks and XLR connectors.
Frequency Bands: Wireless guitar systems operate in various frequency bands, including UHF (Ultra High Frequency) and VHF (Very High Frequency). UHF is more common and offers better signal quality and range, making it suitable for professional use.
Range: The effective range of wireless guitar systems can vary, but most provide sufficient coverage for typical stage setups. High-quality systems can offer a range of up to several hundred feet, allowing guitarists to move freely on stage.
Channels and Frequencies: To avoid interference with other wireless devices, wireless guitar systems often feature multiple selectable channels and frequencies. This flexibility allows musicians to choose a clear and interference-free frequency for their performance location.
Battery Life: Battery life is a crucial consideration, especially for live performances. Most wireless guitar transmitters and receivers are powered by batteries or rechargeable batteries. Longer battery life ensures uninterrupted performance, so it's important to monitor and replace or recharge batteries as needed.
Compatibility: Wireless guitar systems are compatible with a wide range of electric guitars, bass guitars, and other stringed instruments with standard 1/4-inch output jacks. They can also be used with various amplifiers and sound systems.
Latency: Minimal latency (delay) between playing a note and hearing it through the amplifier is essential for a natural playing experience. High-quality wireless systems are designed to minimize latency, ensuring real-time audio transmission.
Durability: Wireless guitar transmitters and receivers are subjected to the rigors of live performances, so they should be built to withstand physical wear and tear. Durable construction and reliable connectors are important features to look for.
Signal Quality: The quality of the wireless signal is crucial for sound fidelity. High-end wireless guitar systems use advanced technologies to maintain audio quality and reduce interference.
Wireless guitar transmitters provide guitarists with the freedom to move around the stage without being constrained by cables. They come in various price ranges, with higher-end models offering advanced features and greater reliability. When choosing a wireless guitar system, it's important to consider factors such as range, frequency options, battery life, and signal quality to meet your specific performance needs.

User questions & answers
Question: | Will this transmitter fit into the surface plug on an Ibanez SR |
Answer: | It also work with a 9V battery , Model: 6F22 |
Question: | Does it have a headphone jack so that it can be used without an amp for practice |
Answer: | With guitars this short, you're better off tuning it higher. It'll maintain string tension better from my understanding. I think it's usually a fourth higher. Like having a capo at the 5th fret of a standard guitar. So the 1 and 6 strings are tuned to A rather than E. |
Question: | Would two sets of these work for a guitar>pedal board> amp? To make a fully wire less rig |
Answer: | Depends on his height. If he’s a bit small or standard height for his age, it will be great. If he’s big for his age, it might be s gamble. |
Question: | How natural does this sound on a fine acoustic guitar using a piezzo/preamped pickup like fishman or lr baggs |
Answer: | It dose not have a truss rod |

User questions & answers
Question: | Can you use more than 2 of these on same stage |
Answer: | I have an acoustic with active pickups and it works fine. Works fine on my passive electric pickups too. |
Question: | Can I use this from mixer to powered speakers for audio and live voice? Wanna get rid of cables to speakers |
Answer: | Never tried that before and not sure it will work, but worth a try. |
Question: | Do they work with a guitar with active pickups |
Answer: | We do not suggest to leave them in charging too long, because this will harm the battery, and also there is a safety risk as always. Actually speaking, there is power indicator LED lights on the back side, which will remind you when it is in lower power and need charging, or it is full and no need charging any more, so that you will not forget to charge them, or over-charging them. |
Question: | can you use 4 sets of these at same time? when we try more than 3 we get interference |
Answer: | The manual shows an example of 1 receiver and 4 guitar pedals (w/transmitter), implying a practical multi transmitter setup. If 1 receiver is used, and multiple transmitters are connected on the same channel (ex, 1 bass, 1 uke, 1 violin all on channel 3) as long as they're not used simultaneously, would they function properly? |
- 【No-interference】: Less than 6ms latency, no lag or no signal loss, supports uncompressed signal transmitting and more than 100 feet outdoor transmission range, this guitar wireless system supports simultaneous broadcasts on 4 channels.
- 【Long Work Time】: ammoon wireless guitar system working time is up to 5 hours after fully charged, and comes with a USB cable for convenient recharging, which ensures good performance for your every show.

User questions & answers
Question: | Will it work on a martin DRS |
Answer: | if I'm understanding correctly- I think you are asking to chain these... you can have separate sets in your band./ the unit finds its own frequency.to clarify - you plug the transmitter into your guitar. then the receiver will go anywhere at the beginning of your set up-- if you use pedals.if you don't use pedals- the receiver gos straight into your amp. I think you are asking to have 2 sets -- one set from guitar to pedals- then your pedals out to the amp with the other set.(I don't see why this wouldn't work) you really do want to go wireless eh?consider these as one looong cord. the transmitter is one end of the cord (guitar) the receiver is the other. either amp/ or pedal board/effects board.. etc..the only issue I see with that set up is a delay before your mix gets to the amp. I have a feeling there will be a little bit. |
Question: | If i wanted to plug it into a 110 volt wall outlet to charge instead of usb, what would i need to get to adapt from usb to the wall without frying it |
Answer: | I charge mine after every gig--- takes about 20 minutes- I am not going to test it to see how long it lasts.. so far 4 hours and it didn't die..id think 7 hours is about a safe limit- if you play 2 gigs in one day you can charge in between with ease. uses a usb connection just like your cell phone, charge it in the car/van on the way to next gig. |
Question: | Do these add any noise to the signal compared to cable noise or are these quieter |
Answer: | I have 4 acoustic guitars all with powered/battery pickups. So when I purchased the Xvive U2 I was skeptical. When the U2 arrived I put it through extensive testing. All 3 of my Taylor guitars (814, 855 &LKSM-12) have the ES2 pickup and they worked perfectly with no background noise or interference . Connections we're made into a Mackie Fx12 mixer. My Gibson classical nylon, equipped with a C-1 with a L.R. Baggs Anthem, had a background hum making it unusable with the Xvive. So it may depend upon which powered pickup you have. I ordered a second U2 transmitter so I could switch guitars through the same receiver and it works just fine. |
Question: | How long do you charge for and at what voltage |
Answer: | For sure, however, I recommend you buy a second one after you buy your 30th guitar. But be careful the female of the species seems to notice when you buy a new one. So here’s what I did: I came home with a new guitar and the wife said “did you buy a new guitar?” I said no. She said” I’ve never seen that one before”. I replied “hold on I’ll be right back to explain”. Then I went to the garage and brought in another new guitar. I told her “ no I bought two new guitars!” Do this a couple of times and she won’t be so upset when you only buy 1 new guitar. I’ve also heard “ how many guitars do you need, you can only play one at a time”. To which I reply “ I don’t know but I’m gonna find out”. She says if I buy one more she’s gonna leave. Damn, I’m gonna miss her!!! |

User questions & answers
Question: | Why are the colors of the transmitter and receiver different, one red and one green |
Answer: | Red transmitter and green receiver,it is really convenient to recognize. You can quickly judge based on the color. It is very important not to insert it in wrong jack. It took our friend half an hour to find the reason why the sound cannot be heard and insert them into the correct jack. |
Question: | How to change channel |
Answer: | You can use the "1 key to switch" function. Turn on the machine and press the power button once on the transmitter to change frequency, and the receiver will automatically match. I consulted the customer service and they claimed that there are 10*10 channels, which is 100 channels, and 10 channels will be randomly selected for each re-pairing. 10 channels are enough for me, there is no need to re-pair at the moment. |
Question: | Is this a 2.4GHz system |
Answer: | The wireless G7 is not a 2.4GHz or 5.8GHz wireless guitar system, It is a digital wireless transmission UHF technology, not an outdated analog uhf technology. |
Question: | Would this be worked with a spark amplifier |
Answer: | Yes,of couse it can be worked with a spark amp. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Have you ever noticed a bit of static/ noise that fades when you first strike a note after a few moments of silence |
Answer: | If Ibanez SR300 has 6.35mm jack, our GWS-8 guitar wireless can be applied to this guitar!Thank you for supporting our wireless guitar! |
Question: | This wireless guitar systems sometimes makes strange noises while in use |
Answer: | Dear Freind, Thank you for your friendly inquiry about Getaria wireless guitar system. What a shame! There is no 3.5 audio jack on the wireless guitar transmitter side, so you can't plug any headphone jack into the Getaria wireless guitar system, we suggest you a set of Getaria wireless guitar transmitter and receiver in this situation. |
Question: | I found my wireless guitar systems cannot be charged properly |
Answer: | Yes, this will work. You can put a pair of these anywhere you would use a signal cable. I chained 3 pair to see if they would flake out and they did fine. Pair the one from the guitar to the pedal board, then pair the one from the pedal board to the amp. You can also pair the one from the pedal board to the amp and a third from the amp line out to the mixer. Granted this is not how you would usually go from the amp to the mixer, but it works. Do not plug it into anything that would normally take a speaker wire. That will fry it as there is amperage on the line. |
Question: | Can 2 transmitters send to one receiver |
Answer: | I play nylon guitars exclusively...my best is a Amin Hannika Torres with no amplification, so I use that as a standard. I have a Gary Zimnicki with a non-amplified piezo that goes direct to my AER60. It sounds the same whether I use a high quality cable of the Getaria in a concert/club setting; in the studio there is a slight drop-off that most listeners could not discern. I also use a 2002 Ramirez a/e with a Fishman preamp and piezo (i never use the microphone component); I cannot tell the difference between cable or Getaria mainly because the preamp changes the clear acoustic quality - not bad or good, just not like an unamplified guitar. As an aside, I have a Taylor with espresso system, an L5 that I put P90s on, and a 5620 Gretsch with black top histones, and on all of them the Gertaria is great, no hum, no noise, no interference. But the big thing for me in all settings - live, studio, rehearse, practice - is have NO cord to tangle, step on or buzz. I don't give recommendations, but I bought 2 sets of these to have while one is charging, and will buy them again if these break. I've used them for about 4 months. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Can this system be used with a guitar and bass at the same time |
Answer: | The transmitter has only one input/output. So it cannot be used on two instruments at the same time. It can be switched between two instruments very quickly with no "setup" required other than plugging the receiver into the correct amp. Also, as the unit transmits on only one channel, trying to "mix" two instruments would be less than ideal. You could (I'll muddy this up real good now) plug a bass and guitar into a mixer and transmit from a sub out and use the mono mixed signal thru the single channel. Doing so would require enough sound equipment on the reciever to sort out the bass thru a crossover or whatever. This would defeat the purpose of a wireless system...IMHO. My recommendation: buy two units. You'll like the unit. |
Question: | Does it work with guitar active pickups |
Answer: | It does. It works with active or passive. Also works well with bass or guitar. Works with 'fex. Develop good battery schedule for the transmitter and you'll love it! When the transmitter (instrument unit) batteries die, it does so quickly and without warning. That said, it isn't battery hungry. Battery life is quite acceptable and the batteries are easy to change. |
Question: | Can you use it with in ear monitors |
Answer: | Yes but you need a separate receiver and transmitter for your in ear monitors. |
Question: | will this do mic and instrument at the same time |
Answer: | No I do. It believe this will a mic and instrument at the same time. There is only one channel output |
