Answer:	You can record one channel, however, you have to lower the volume on the other channels. If you do this, you cannot hear the signals from other channels through the headphone monitor. The Maker Hart Just Mixer M is the only one by Maker Hart that has individual channel mutes where you can monitor but not use in final output. Hope this helps.

Answer:	The SM35 has the larger frequency response range at 40-20k Hz compared to the SM31FH's 45-20k Hz so the SM35 will be slightly better for singing. The SM31FH (Orange) features sweat proof/resistant features which will prevent rusting in humid environments.

Answer:	Yes, this does require phantom power. I almost sent it back, thinking it didn't work, then I pushed phantom power button and it came alive. The description of the Icicle says "It's even got 48V phantom power for those power-hungry condenser mics." So you should be good to go.

The reason musicians use the SM35 over the SM31FH is because it has a larger and much higher quality microphone capsule which offers better sound quality compared to that of the SM31FH.

Answer:	The power you need to power up the capsule comes from the wireless transmitter. The RK100PK needs phantom power from the mixer. Hope this helps.

Answer:	It does use phantom power. The desktop base does not contain any power and does not have an on/off switch. I have seen other vendor bases sold separately that do contain an on/off switch. Perhaps one of these bases may utilize lithium ion batteries for some purpose.

Answer:	No it does not. We ordered the Shure CVD-B XLR Desktop Base, 12-Inch Cable (Black) to use with this microphone. The XLR desktop base does have a rubber vibration absorbing finish on the bottom.

Answer:	No, not batteries. The mic does have a built-in preamp which requires power, but that is supplied by either the mixer through Phantom Power, or through an external, separate Phantom supply. Great mic and great value btw. I have a few of them in use.

Answer:	This microphone has it's own mount, that provides slight separation from any vibration noise. There is no elastic suspension "shock mount" available for this unit - but is a very rugged mic that can take a beating. Any decent stand will do... but because the SM7B is fairly heavy, I'd advise if your going to hang it off a boom stand, I'd find a sturdy one with a decent counter weight. I use an Atlas Sound MS20E Heavy Duty Microphone Stand or the On Stage SMS7650 Hex-Base Studio Boom Microphone Stand.
Question:	Do you need a mixamp/preamp/mixer/audio interface to use this microphone on a PC or is it optional
Answer:	The question is specifically asking about using this mic with a PC, and although it's a 6 year old question, it still needs to be flooded with correct answers to hide the bad one inexplicably found at the top, even though its Yes:No helpfulness ratio is atrocious and is neither the newest nor the oldest answer. This absolutely needs an interface to be used with a PC. A lot of these answers are going on about the preamp, but regardless of how you get power to this thing--whether it be preamps onboard your interface or whatnot--you will absolutely need some sort of interface to, well, interface with your computer. Whether it be USB, Firewire, Thunderbolt, or PCIe, you will 1000% need a way to get the signal into your PC. That aside, you will definitely want good way to drive it given its output level.

Question:	How does the shure sm7b compare to the blue yeti pro
Answer:	I use the Shure SM7b for all of my voiceover and singing recording. The Blue Yeti Pro doesn't even place when compared in all honestly. The Blue Yeti Pro has a WAY higher noise floor, and sounds muddy and slightly muffled when comparing the two back to back. And I see a lot of people saying, "A cloudlifter won't help," and I can say from first-hand experience, that this isn't true. Personally I recommend picking up a Fethead, or an sE Electronics DM1, however, all three do the same thing, but some cost more than others, (I'm using the DM1, and I've been very happy with my purchase.) Originally I was using a Focusrite Scarlet Solo, 2nd Gen, and my audio was clean. Any mic activators helps bring this mic up to great levels without getting any pre-amp noise. I've since upgraded to an Audient ID4, and my audio is super clean. I don't get any noise from the mic, pre-amp, or the interface. That being said, the SM7b is more expensive, but even despite this, I definitely recommend the SM7b over Blue Yeti Pro any day.

Answer:	I’m pretty sure it will work. The xlr preamp included is removable so the mic can either plug directly into a mixer with it, or into the blx beltpack without it. The lav should have shure’s TQG connector built-in and the xlr portion is removable.

Answer:	I believe I used an 1” to 1-1/4” hole. You need enough room to plug it into the XLR cord connector.
