Answer:	The microphone is a dual mono microphone and thus not stereo, unless you get into the very expensive stereo microphones I think you'll be pleased with the frequency response and quality. Once plugged in, the on-board microphone is cancelled out.

Answer:	Best qualities of the Videomic Go: Small, no battery (powered from the camera), easy to transport. Best qualities of the Rode Videomic over the Videomic Go: Battery powered (better range), high pass filter, PAD switch (for reducing sensitivity on louder recordings). Not having a battery can be nice (using the GO), but the camera you use has to be able to power over the 1/8" mic input. The high pass filter and PAD switch are nice on the Videomic, but not always necessary. If you don't think you'll need them, then the Videomic GO is the way to go.

Answer:	If it has an external mic jack and a hot/cold shoe, then you're in business. And I believe your Rebel has both. It's a great mic for many purposes, just watch the fuzzy cover in the top of your frame! I had to trim the fur to keep it clear on a wide angle vlogging lens.

Answer:	My guess is without being able to control the gain (lowering the input level) you will likely get clipping. You need a way to monitor the levels and lower if necessary. It is though all relevant to the volume levels at the concerts and how close you are to the speaker.

Answer:	Yeah it is, I bought this setup about 5months back for my T5i and it's pretty reliable. Easy setup and the mic is very light.The sound quality is slightly better than 'good', I'm used to using XLR input, though, so that might be why I don't think it's very special. Good buy, though. Doesn't come with that exact deadcat, though, you get a cheap-looking black one.It comes with an extension for the audio jack which has saved my life when I have an attached light and need to have the mic far away from me, a good 30ft? Hard to say. Now I'm rambling, good luck with this.

Answer:	No issues. It will improve the audio immensely. Experiment on whether to use setting 1, 2, or 3 for mic level in camera will suit your needs. I go to the zoom h1 for recording but you can go to the camera direct.
