Can I plug this into a laptop to record

Hi, These stage snakes, including this SAJLP-16x4x100 will not connect directly into a typical laptop. The typical laptop's audio sound card will only have an 1/8" headphone output and possibly an 1/8" microphone input. You would use an external audio interface to act as a sort of mixer that can connect and talk directly with your computer. Within your computer you would run a DAW or Digital Audio Workstation, such as ProTools, LogicPro (Mac users), Ableton, Sonar, just to name a few. These programs allow you to record tracks from microphones and instruments you have connected to your external audio interface. You would connect all of your microphones and instruments into this SAJLP snake, then run the snake to where your computer and external audio interface are located. Question:	Is it works with phanton power mics? routing then from an interface for example
Answer:	Yes it works with phantom power. I have run condenser mics on it that used phantom power with no problem. It is no different than individual mic cords they are just all in one jacket.

Answer:	Hi, This ultimately depends on what type of output jack(s) your keyboard has. If your keyboard has unbalanced 1/4" TS outputs, then you should connect to a DI box first, to balance the signal, and DI boxes will typically convert to an XLR type signal, so you could output from the DI box then connect to this SACB's stage box. If your keyboard has balanced 1/4" TRS output jacks, then you would not need a DI box, and you could use a cable that is 1/4" TRS to Male XLR, to output from your keyboard and input into the SACB's stage box. Answer:	These cables were very well made, I did not ever measure them but they ( I bought 2) and they are are about 24' long

Answer:	You would be completely negating the point of these by doing so. I think they would come apart, but you'd have to be removing a lot of material to do it. I wouldn't recommend doing this whatsoever. I would recommend buying individual cables if that is your use case/need.

Answer:	I did not experience this shipping time, I got mine in like a week or less.

Question:	Does anyone know what the "-Inch" in the description means
Answer:	It appears to me to be a couple of misprints in the descriptions. Where it says "for less than you're use d-Inch paying for...", you should probably read "for less than you're used-to paying for...". That's the only way the sentence makes sense to me. Also, Where it says "XLR Male-Inch XLR Female" under the picture, it should probably read "XLR Male-to-XLR Female. Someone seems to have put the word "Inch" everywhere the word "to" belonged. (Ain't word processors wonderful?) PS, they are great cables for this price. I bought 4 sets of the 10 ft ones for short runs from my wireless mic rack to the mixing console.
Question:	About how far will the cable allow two of the male (or female) connectors to spread apart? If that makes any sense
Answer:	I can plug 1 into first channel on a mixer and skip 5 channels and still be able to plug the next one in.. Hope that makes sence to you ;)

Answer:	Yes, they are balanced cables. If you have any issues, like I did with these snakes, open the connectors up and use electrical tape to cover the excess exposed wire inside. I had several channels shorting out inside the connectors because they stripped too much wire before soldering.

Question:	If you are careful how you fold and wrap the connectors on a 4x12 fantail, what is the smallest diameter conduit you would recommend pulling through
Answer:	Hello, thank you for your interest in the SACB-12x4x50 from Seismic Audio. I'd really try to avoid less than 7 inches on a conduit if you are trying to run connectors through staggered. I'd try to find a way to install without having to pull through a conduit all together if I could. But if you are really careful you can get it through straight 3-4" conduit. But if you aren't careful/lucky, you'll get it part way through then not be able to get it back out. So if you can use something that comes apart then seals after instead of trying to feed it, you'll do better. If you are trying to make code, let them know this is low voltage wire and they probably won't require any specific type of conduit. The signal in the wires in this will be 1 V RMS or less.
Question:	Are the connectors at the fantail (mixer) end soldered to the wires or are the connectors of the insulation displacement piercing type

You could potentially use this SACB snake, but you would have to so some conversions on the fantail side for your Auxiliary outputs of the PreSonus 16.0.2. The PreSonus has XLR or 1/4" Left and Right Main outs, as well as the XLR mono output, but all of the Auxiliary outputs, which you would use for your monitor mixes, are 1/4" TRS. Answer:	The are printed on the green and yellow cable strips near XLR and 1/4 connectors. Difficult to see, but they're there.
Question:	I assume the 1/4" TRS connectors upstream ports could only be used for monitors to send the feed from the board to the stage, right
Answer:	The one person has it right. The 1/4in can go both ways! I use two and power my monitors as well as the drummer uses his 6 channel board to mic his drums and send me the signal so I can mix him through the FOH mains! I don't own this particular brand but our band does use the 8x4 this way and it works fantastic! BTW as for using powered monitors only, that not true. I can send a Banana x 1/4in from one of our amps to power our monitors. Like I said it works Fantastic for our needs!

Answer:	Hi Edison, No, you can not use the RETURN channels on this SALS stage snake because they are LINE-LEVEL 22 AWG balanced wire and could not handle the AMPLIFIED signals from your powered mixer's amplified outputs. Instead, you would need what we refer to as a "powered snake," such as our SASPS-12x4x50. This SASPS-12x4x50 will have four 12 AWG speaker level RETURN channels, with 4 female Speakon jacks on the stage box and 4 male Speakon connectors on the fantail side. Question:	How many watts can the 1/4inch return lines handle
Answer:	Hello, we apologize for the inconvenience. It sounds like you are asking about using the 1/4" returns with an amp. First and foremost, these 1/4" returns are not designed to work with an amplifier. They are designed to work at line level balanced signal after the preamp stage like the aux or main sends from a mixer. They would work with any preamp level signal. Second, more important that wattage for speaker cable (which this is not) is the impedance of the load, not the wattage. But again, wattage or impedance, those types of questions do not apply here as this is a balanced line level send which is radically different from a speaker cable. Have a great day!

Answer:	Hello. If you have "powered" speakers with passive inputs and an amp built into them then yes. This snake will pass balanced line or mic level signal through all of its sends and returns. The return (gender reversed) channels are specifically designed to send your main and monitor mixes from your board to amps at the stage included the amps built into powered speakers.
