11 best cables for shures
Shure is a renowned brand in the audio industry, particularly known for its high-quality microphones and audio equipment. When it comes to cables for Shure microphones and other audio gear used in live sound stages, studios, and musical instruments, there are a few key considerations to keep in mind:
XLR Cables: XLR cables are commonly used with Shure microphones and are ideal for balanced audio connections. Shure microphones typically have XLR connectors, so you'll need XLR cables to connect them to mixing consoles, audio interfaces, and other equipment. These cables are available in various lengths to suit your needs.
TRS Cables: If you're connecting Shure microphones or instruments to audio interfaces, mixers, or amplifiers with balanced TRS (Tip-Ring-Sleeve) inputs, you may need TRS cables. These cables are also available in various lengths.
Instrument Cables: For connecting musical instruments like guitars and bass guitars to amplifiers, Shure recommends high-quality instrument cables. These cables typically have 1/4-inch TS (Tip-Sleeve) connectors on both ends.
Speaker Cables: When connecting speakers or amplifiers, you'll need speaker cables. Shure microphones themselves don't usually require speaker cables, but if you're setting up a complete sound system, make sure you have the appropriate speaker cables to connect your speakers to amplifiers or powered mixers.
Cable Length: Choose the cable length based on your specific setup requirements. It's essential to have the right length to ensure a clean and organized stage or studio setup without excessive cable slack.
Quality Matters: Shure is known for its commitment to audio quality, and using high-quality cables is essential to maintain signal integrity. Look for cables with good shielding and durable connectors to minimize interference and ensure reliability.
Cable Maintenance: Regularly check your cables for wear and tear, especially if they are used in a live sound environment. Proper coiling and storage can extend the lifespan of your cables.
Adapters: Depending on your equipment, you may also need adapters to convert between different connector types, such as XLR to TRS or vice versa. Shure offers compatible adapters to ensure seamless connections.
In summary, selecting the right cables for Shure microphones and audio equipment involves choosing the appropriate cable type (XLR, TRS, instrument, or speaker), considering cable length, prioritizing quality, and ensuring compatibility with your gear. Using quality cables is crucial to maintain the excellent audio quality that Shure products are known for.

Question: | Is this gonna fit in my akg wireless |
Answer: | Yes it does but be carefull the one I got was broken at the 3.5mm jack connector. If you touch the cable you loose all sound. I think these cables are oem or 2nd hand from china because the quality is crap |
Question: | Will thisnwork with only 3 pins |
Answer: | There is a screw on the back of the handle assembly. Take that out, slip off the old battery (It may stick a little), and slip on the new one. Replace the screw, and you'll be ready to go. |
Question: | Can it work on a SHURE BLX4R wireless instrument system |
Answer: | Double check the instructions and then charge it. Also check the Dyson manual to confirm that the problem was in fact the battery, might take a little more trouble shooting, something about the color of the light when it’s charging. Best of luck, it’s so frustrating. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Are these reinforced with Kevlar like the normal cords |
Answer: | From what I've experienced, they only stay red until fully charged in pod. |
Question: | How's the sound quality on the microphone? is there another recommended mmcx cable with a better microphone |
Answer: | I was having the same problem until I put them back in the case, left them there for 2-3 seconds. I take them out together and hold one in each hand about 2-3 inches apart and wait for the lights to change color a couple of times (see manual (it's a little confusing what it says in the manual so I just wait until it seems like the color changes have gone through their cycle)). They won't reset to stereo if you already have them in your ears and think that turning both off and back on will work. They may change to stereo after you put them in your ears but I have had better success at holding them near each other once out of the charging case and before putting them in my ears. |
Question: | Any warranty on this item, i bought it in June and it is not working how do I have it replaced under warranty |
Answer: | Okay, so the answer I’m about to give might sound a little strange. They way I find my lost earbuds is that I find a bass boosted/ ear r*ape video, crank it up to full volume, and just listen for the earbud. You’ll have to put the other earbud away to use this method |
Question: | Is there a way to get this to work with ps4 dualshock headphone jack as a gaming headset |
Answer: | This one works: [email protected]. I got response in 1 business day |
Question: | Should red lights stay on whole time when the earbuds in pod |
Answer: | Please try to restore to factory settings: Hold down the MFB button for about 6 seconds during charging, until both LED indicator flashes with blue light 3 times to restore the factory settings. First make sure that Bluetooth is off for all Bluetooth-enabled devices, then take earbuds out of the charing case at the same time, earbuds are on and pair with each other automatically, meanwhile, the blue light of the left earphone disappears, the right earphone red and blue lights flash alternately, now turn on the Bluetooth of your phone, clear previous "TWS880" connection records, search and connect again. If it is still not work well, clear record repairing "TWS880” again. please try more than a few times to succeed. Please feel free to contact us through Amazon message or here for any additional information needed. |
Question: | I cannot use them in stereo mode: it does not sync as the instructions in the manual describes. the product is not listed in the company's website |
Answer: | When you press the button on the inside of the case, it'll light up the 4 green lights on the outside. If all 4 is green then its fully charged. |
Question: | If i lost an earbud how can i find it |
Answer: | Sound is the best so far among the 3 wireless buds I owned. The base is great. It could use a bit more power on the high frequencies. |
Question: | How do you contact the company regarding warranty because I can't seem to find their website |
Answer: | I have not personally done this, but IPX7 rating is pretty specific (quoting from Wikipedia): Ingress of water in harmful quantity shall not be possible when the enclosure is immersed in water under defined conditions of pressure and time (up to 1 meter (3 ft 3 in) of submersion). So I would say if you're swimming laps or something that doesn't require you to exceed the 30 minutes per session and not going under more than 3' they should be good for repeated use. As far as survival, I'm not sure. Water can attenuate the signal, but it should be safe to try it out, within the restrictions above. |

User questions & answers
Question: | I apologize for my ignorance. Need for my church. Does this run on battery alone or does it have to be hooked up to something to work |
Answer: | It does not need a battery, but you do need to connect it to an amplifier that has a mic XLR connection. Mostly this would be a separate pre-amp which is then connected to a larger console or amplifier system, though some systems combines both. |
Question: | How long is the cable that I can get with this mic |
Answer: | If the official Shure part number SM58-CN is selected, the "CN" means a 25' XLR microphone cable will be included. Other variants include SM58S which is microphone with an on/off switch, SM58-LC which is microphone only with no cable. |
Question: | What amplifier or mixer [ $20- $50 ] should i buy which is compatible with sm58 ? need suggestion |
Answer: | While there are some modest guitar amplifiers in your price range, systems for amplifying vocals tend to be more expensive. You'd be looking for a "Public Address" or "PA" system, with some compact setups starting in the $100 range. Brands like Samson, Behringer, Alesis, and Roland have some models at the lower end of the price spectrum. |
Question: | Feel free to laugh a bit and excuse my ignorance. I am starting voice lessons does this microphone only work with a computer? Or can I hook it up to something different? Ok no more laughing. Thank You |
Answer: | I'd like to correct a statement that's been made about the SM-58, which is the most popular, universal "performer's mic," found in every band that can afford it and serving as the White House microphone for heads of state. It's a "dynamic" rather than a "condenser mic," which means it's durable, tough, long-lasting, made to take abuse. But it's not the preferred microphone in the recording studio, which is where the more sensitive, nuanced condenser microphone shines (but don't toss it in a bag and "take it on the road"). Condenser mics require more power than dynamic mics, and that power is called "phantom power," which is found in most mixing boards and in many amps--and in this handy adapter. But you do NOT require Phantom Power for an XLR connection: you require it for a CONDENSER MIC. And since the popular SM58 is a DYNAMIC MIC, the Phantom Power is wasted, a needless add-on. If you want to convert your XLR to USB (or to a phone plug), there are many adapters and cables for $10 that will do the trick You certainly don't need to invest a hundred in the pictured adapter--that's sheer "overkill. It's a bit of a mystery why sellers are showing the SM58 with a Phantom-Powered Adapter for condenser mics. You may be wasting $100 on one or the other of these incompatible devices. |

Question: | Porque me indica que no tiene cable en la descripción |
Answer: | Biene el cable separado pero en el mismo paquete |
Question: | I need a cable connector to connect this microphone to the machine. What do I need to buy |
Answer: | What do you mean by machine? You can order this mike with a XLR to XLR cable or a XLR to QTR cable. The diference between the XLR and the QTR terminal is the connector. The XLR is a 3 prom jack and the QTR is a 1/4" jack, similar to the 1/8" or 3.5mm jack you use in you cel phone or most of the stereos. If you have a regular 3.5mm input in your stereo, mixer or amplifyer yiu need to buy this mike with a XLR to QTR cable and a Reduction Jack from 1/4" Female to 1/8" Male. All the mikes terminal are XLR Female,, so the difference is at the other end of the cable, You either use a XLR terminal/jack or a 1/4" jack. |
