User questions & answers

Question: Can you hook up a sub woofer to this
Answer: Hello. Unfortunately this dent have onboard effects. Thank You
Question: Does it have onboard effects
Answer: Any professional grade voice mic. The benchmark is the Shure SM58. Several companies/brands make comparable mics to the SM58, e.g. Sennhauser, AKG. I'm sure there are newer brands that will do. I haven't kept up. Just don't cheap out on mics. Ask around. If you don't get any more information get the SM58. SM57 for acoustic instruments or alternative vocal. That's old school but still works.
Question: Can you tell me what type of mic I need for this
Answer: I am not familiar with the wattage rating of that Peavey cabinet. We use this amp with 2 small cabinets that have a 12 and a horn in a school training room. It is sufficient for that venue. While a little music is played, it is mostly used for talking by an academic presenter. I also have a Peavey PV8500 that we use with 2 larger cabinets for larger venues. It is 400 watts and has 8 inputs.
Question: I had a peavey xr-600f that burned out. i have two pvi-115 cabinets. will this mixer supply decent power for them
Answer: No. They only come with the power cables. You would have to purchase the XLR cables separate.

Peavey IPR 2 2000 Ultralight Power Amplifier

  • 2- Channel independent fourth-order Linkwitz-Riley crossovers
  • DDT
  • Revolutionary IPR class D topology
  • Detented input controls
  • Speakon output connectors

User questions & answers

Question: Is the fan loud
Answer: Not bad at all. I would never use an amp like this in a studio setting, but for anything live, the fans have never been an issue for me.
Question: would this power 2 8 ohm monitors,4 8 ohm speakers and 2 peavey
Answer: The amp is stable to 2ohms per side or 4ohms total if bridged. If you're running 2x8ohm cabs on one channel for a total of 4ohms and 4x8ohm cabs on the other channel for 2ohms you should be good (with the caveat that cab ratings are nominal and therefore a 'moving target' depending on what you're feeding them). I don't know where the Peavey 2x215's fit in since you don't list their impedance ratings, but I'd suggest that they'd be too much for this setup anyway.
Question: I have the jbl jrx 225 pair and jrx 218s 18" passive subwoofer pair looking for an amp to drive these for a band
Answer: HI rico. You need 2 amp. Peavey IPR 3000.1 amp. For the 2 jrx 215 (mid/hi).1 amp. For the 2 jrx 218 (low).Good Luck.
Question: Is this amp brodge-mono capable
Answer: Yes it is.

IPR 2000

IPR2 power amplifiers, designed for years of reliable, flawless operation under rigorous use. The groundbreaking IPR2 series utilizes an advanced design that allows Peavey engineers to dramatically reduce weight while increasing output power, reliability and thermal efficiency. IPR2 Series amplifiers are designed with a resonant switch-mode power supply and a high-speed class D topology that yields the highest audio resolution and efficiency available. This revolutionary amplifier offers the sonic superiority and unsurpassed reliability for which Peavey is famous, in an extremely efficient and lightweight design. Advanced technology and extensive protection circuitry allow operation with greater efficiency into difficult loads and power conditions. The DDT (Distortion Detection Technique) circuitry ensures trouble-free operation into loads as low as 2 ohms. DDT protects drivers and ensures that sonic integrity is maintained, even in extreme overload conditions. The IPR2's high-efficiency design allows the amplifier to operate at very low temperatures, and does not require massive heat sinks to cool.

IPR 2 Series

Light, Efficient, Intelligent.

Shaking up the pro audio industry with innovative power amplifier designs has become our stock in trade. More than 30 years ago, we were one of the first to break the dollar-per-watt barrier. Not long after that, we became one of the first manufacturer to mass-produce a class-D amplifier for use in live audio applications. We debuted our first switchmode power supply over a decade ago. Then in 2009 we launched the IPR series and once again Peavey revolutionized the power amp industry. Now we introduce the refinement of that amazing technology with improved performance and reliability, the Peavey IPR2 Series.

Answer: With our unit, the PIN is 7878, printed just above the power button next to the Bluetooth logo and the word “PIN.”

User questions & answers

Question: Does this device boost the signal (amplify) or is it straight line level output
Answer: XLR inputs not output.
Question: Will this connect my computer (macbook) to my studio monitors (alesis M1Active
Answer: It has Wireless Stereo link, not sure about “Echo Alexa”, but it dose with “-Total Pa Supreme sound Systems”.
Question: On a Mac, does the system volume control still work, or is it pegged at line level? e.g. can you use the volume in the menu bar or keyboard volume
Answer: I'm not sure what you are using a computer, phone or tablet but make sure your settings match what you are playing your music off of. The Mic controls need to match what you are using as a device speakers or adjust your microphone dials after you adjust your device. When you start up the speaker all this needs to be done or you will have to power off speaker for about 15- 20 seconds to reset. I use 2 speakers with a splitter and sing karaoke and I actually bought wireless mics and use my wireless mics and its amazing sound. I hope this kind of helps. Check the device and readjust. Now it is a pain in the butt bc once you 🙃 start playing and you need to change something it will stop the mic. It took me several times of learning.
Question: Does it work with a Mac
Answer: I have the Peavey 150 which is similar to the Bandit. The left button will change the clean/distortion channel and the right button turns the reverb on/off. That's how the footswitch is meant to operate.

User questions & answers

Question: Can I hook smart tv to peaveyto amp to speakers
Answer: I believe you do. It does not have it's own power. We use it pig-tailed off of our amp-powered main speakers. You could also pig-tail off of stage monitors as well.
Question: Mixer works great, Bluetooth connects but no signal recieved
Answer: I believe the DM112 is bi amped which has 2 separate amplifiers---1 for highs and 1 for lows---Thru generally mean the input signal can be sent to another output(via thru output) before amplification---To use thru, you would take line from thru and send it another amplifier and speaker system.
Question: Which version of auto tunes comes with this
Answer: if you are referring to its country of origin then it would be China. But designed in the USA.
Question: How do I hook from my existing soundboard and still use mic thru this
Answer: No, it does not boost the signal. It is line level output from USB input. Works great, convenient and small. There is a green light that lets you know its on, and two XLR outlets if you want to run stereo.

User questions & answers

Question: There is no line out, would you use headphone with level control for that
Answer: Antares. The original brand name auto tune.
Question: Why is channel 3, the ch with the mic/instrument input, so much louder, i love the amp, just curious
Answer: Yes
Question: What is the size an d weight of this Peavey KB
Answer: Not sure exactly what your question is on the mixer. The mixer will work most standard speaker cable gauge or thickness. I recommend a thicker gauge so you get better audio quality. But if the cable you are wondering about is a manufactured speaker cable for pro audio it should work.
Question: Is this amplifier flexbile enough (currently I need it for an electric piano, electric guitar & mic), but how about connecting a laptop or other devcs
Answer: Nothing else comes in the box except for a plug.
