| Answer: | To be clear, this amp claims 45 W/channel *peak-to-peak*, not RMS. This unit will only put out a bit over 10 W/channel RMS. It will not hurt anything to drive larger speakers with a smaller amp, but you will not get the full volume your speakers are capable of. If your speakers are rated at 80W RMS, then this (10W RMS) amp will only produce 1/8 the power (which will sound about 1/2 as loud) as the speakers could put out with a larger amp. It depends on the efficiency of the speakers and the size of the space whether that will be loud enough for your needs or not. |

It will work, but you will be disappointed.While it is good sound practice to always have monitors/drivers (speakers) rated higher than the maximum output of the amplifier, for the safety of not blowing out the drivers with any voltage spikes, it is best to have the components much closer in RMS ratings. Say using 60-100 Watt Speakers with this set up, instead of 40 Watt or under, or 100 Watts or over.The little unit will be woefully under powered.I hope this helps!Oh, and BTW, RMS stands for Root Mean Square, the way the wavelength is measured for amplifier output using Ohm's Law. |

| Answer: | The product is cheap because it is crap. When you plug the amp in to power and speakers, the speakers hum at 60Hz. This is the result of poor shielding between the power supply and the amp electronics, which is purely a function of cheap, crappy manufacturing. Pyle used to make good products - I have several of their amps from ~10 years ago that sound great. But something happened, and their current product line is garbage. It's cheap, but it's not a good deal unless you don't care about audio quality. |

| Answer: | I have 8 speakers in the cafateria, three in the hallway on sencond floor and five in the classrooms on 2nd floor of a Sunday School building connected to the 70V and common. The power setting used was 2 Ohms on the speakers. I than added 3 speakers at a distance of 150 feet (Connecting the sanctuary of the church to Sunday School) in parallel with setting at 4 ohms. They all work good. Tested them on full load for about 30 minutes with output from my iphone (Youtube download)to the auxiliary input of the amp. Performance was good for a Church and a Sunday School building. Good product for the price. We plan to use them occasionally and did not want to spend extra money. If your requirements are critical, I will suggest to get an extra amplifier and let it sit as a backup..Good Luck. |
