User questions & answers

Question: IS this true 500 watt output or is that peak and if so what is the Program RMS
Answer: Yes, but honestly those 15 will put out more low end themselves than a single 12 on the ground. This sub is better suited for 12's, 10's or 8's up top. Your powered speakers most likey have bass and treble level control on the back. This sub would not likely increase bass output over what your mains are capable of. This is a better option for small venue with with single small or two smaller mains for bars or coffee shops.
Question: I have a set of 1000 watt B115mp3 Eurolive powered speakers. How do i hook up to this subwooofer
Answer: yes it will damage it. This sub has its own built in 500w amplifier. Input via XLR from a line out of a mixer. Output also via XLR after the built in electronic crossover to your amp or active speakers.
Question: Will this work with 2 powered 15 tops
Answer: The speakers are loud, but the clipping notification comes at a fairly low volume. Wasn't an issue when I used them as it was indoors and I had two of them running. Have not tried them outdoors, but I suspect they'll be ok if you're relatively close to them (as opposed to across the street).
Question: If I send an input directly from an amp (300-400watts @ 8 ohms), will there be any damage to this sub
Answer: I got two sounds better than a job or Mackie

EUROLIVE B1200D-PRO

Our EUROLIVE B1200D-PRO 500-Watt active subwoofer provides the ultimate in low-frequency reproduction, and the built-in stereo crossover makes it ideally suited for use with any of our active 2-way loudspeakers. Packed with a powerful 500-Watt Class-D amplifier, 15" long-excursion Low-Frequency (LF) transducer and an incredible array of professional features, the B1200DPRO produces extreme levels of low-end punch, with the definition and clarity typically reserved for much larger systems!

Class-D - Massive Power, Perfect Sound

Thanks to our revolutionary Class-D amplifier technology, we are able to provide you with enormous power and incredible sonic performance in an easy-to-use, ultra-portable and lightweight package. Class-D amplification makes all the difference, offering the ultimate in energy efficiency and eliminating the need for heavy power supplies and massive heat sinks.

Take Control

The B1200D-PRO features balanced XLR inputs and outputs, as well as balanced XLR Thru jacks for connecting additional enclosures. A Boost Frequency knob targets a boost frequency between 45 Hz and 90 Hz. Flick the Boost switch to give your selected frequency a +10 dB boost. The B1200DPRO also has a High Cut dial that provides precision control over the upper-corner frequency of the subwoofer’s amplifier. The High Cut dial does not affect the Thru signals, only signals directed to the subwoofer (however, it does affect the Output socket signals sent out to full-range speakers). A Level knob controls the input gain, and the Phase switch reverses output phase to compensate for frequency cancellation between the subwoofer and satellite speakers. LEDs show operational status at a glance, including power, signal present and input overloads.

Which Speaker Do I Need?

As you have probably noticed, we make these subwoofers in two different woofer sizes. Which one is right for you? An 18" woofer has more surface area with which to move air than a 15", which has more than a 12". If you’re running sound for a jazz combo in a dinner club, a single B1200D-PRO might be all you’ll need. But if you need to serve up pulse-pounding techno at a large, standing-room-only dance club, you might need a pair of B1500D-PROs, or even B1800D-PROs to really ignite the dance floor.

User questions & answers

Question: Frequency response
Answer: 129 spl
Question: What is the sensitivity, spl at one meter
Answer: Not familiar with the b15x bluetooth, but looking online, it appears there is a "MIX OUT" connector on the back of the b15. It appears if you use a XLR cable, you can connect the "MIX OUT" of the b15x to the input of the B1800XP. This should allow both speakers to work together. The B1800XP is not bluetooth enabled on it's own.
Question: How can i connect this to b15x bluetooth
Answer: I read that it's only 750 watts rms
Question: If it's 3000w it has to be 1500w rms right
Answer: A wireless mic transmits signal to a receiver. Plug the receiver into this speaker, and it will work.

User questions & answers

Question: Can i use this subwoofer whit a 10" JBL powered speakers
Answer: Yes
Question: what is the max wattage this baby can give
Answer: Realistically probably about 300 watts. Their spec sheet says 500w is max. independent of limiters and other protection circuits. These are pretty good subs especially for the price however if you can afford the Behringer B1500HP I would get that. I have used both and the B1500HP hits harder without using the bass boost then the VQ1500 hits using the boost. It can also handle much larger/louder environments. If you are mobile and dragging it around a lot the HP does weigh more.
Question: Is this 500w continuous
Answer: Yes, the 500w is continuous.
Question: Is this 500w peak/250w rms? or 500w rms
Answer: I have no idea. It's in the garage. It sounds pretty good for a Behringer 15" sub. Worth the money.

User questions & answers

Question: Will this work hooked to the berhinger ppa 2000bt
Answer: Get a return receipt & take it to UPS
Question: Passive or powered? Sorry if its in the description, i didnt see it
Answer: You're right on the border with this one ....depends how LOUD the drummer and band are
Question: I need to return this item. How does one do that? It has not been opened. Just bought one too many
Answer: No.
Question: Could I use this as a keyboard and vocal amp for rehearsal? Would I be able to hear it over the drums
Answer: Yes, it works with headset mic.
Question: does this item come with a protective cover
Answer: 500 peak and about 168 watts rms based on a review and measurements of Behringer A500 Amplifier it's a different amp but was also 500w. All behringer ratings are inflated and as a general rule of thumb their true rms is 1/3 of stated wattage.
Question: Any way you can connect a headset mic with this system
Answer: This subwoofer has A and B channel pass-through ports. Just send the left and/or right channel output from the mixer, then connect the powered speaker to the A or B channel pass-through connection. The sub has a crossover for the sub-frequencies but passes through all frequencies to the powered speakers. You can use 1 or 2 of these subs in a stereo scenario.

Question: does it come with any cables
Answer: The only output this sub has is passive. In order for the other sub to work is that its self power as well.
Question: Is the speakon connector 2 pole or 4 pole? I am looking to pass through pins 2+ and 2- to the satellite speaker. Thanks
Answer: Dear customer, Thank you for your interest in the Sound Town 15" powered subwoofer. The sub weighs 89.5 lbs (40.6 kg). Feel free to let us know if you have any additional questions. Thank you,
Question: Can the metis-18sdpw power another subwoofer
Answer: Yes...
Question: cuanto pesa en libras
Answer: powered. 250 watt is claimed but Behringer HIGHLY over-rates their wattages. I would say that it is more likely a 100 watt amp. It has 2 inputs...use the MIC level to give more gain even with a LINE level input. This is NOT a great monitor...just OK. Ended up buying a QSC but still use this monitor for some others on stage.

  • Proprietary 1.75'' titanium-diaphragm compression driver for exceptional high-frequency reproduction
  • Proprietary horn design for ultra-wide sound dispersion

User questions & answers

Question: What is the cabinet make out of? Plastic or dense cardboard
Answer: No, it is passive, and receives its power from an amplifier via a Speak-on connection. If your amplifier only has a 1/4" jack, you can buy a cable that has a 1/4" jack into amplifier and Speakon cnx on the other end. I'm out of town at the moment, don't recall if it's M or F.
Question: Is this an active speaker
Answer: This is a powered speaker that sits on the floor, not on a stand. It is tilted at an angle to direct the sound up and out, which makes it useful by design for any musician or singer, or subgroups of same on stage, to hear their output without using headphones, and is powerful enough to cut through the volume of the main speakers. This does not mean its use is limited to that purpose; it can be directed to the audience instead of the performers with the intent of serving in place of generally larger main speakers in smaller venues, whether inside or outside. Because this particular speaker is self-powered rather than being powered by a separate amplifier, its output volume can be controlled right at the unit or in conjunction with a separate mixer and/or DI box. It should not be hooked up on a powered circuit from a separate amplifier. Most decent amplifiers have both powered amplified and unamplified terminals, which use different types of speaker cables. Make sure you understand the three basic types: instrument cables, unpowered speaker and powered speaker, as they are all constructed differently and generally should not be interchanged.
Question: what is the purpose of a floor monitor? If it is for singer to hear ones self while karaoke how do you contol it
Answer: Obviously wrong product description, the points next to the pic are correct as stated.Professional 800-Watt 2-Way floor monitor (200 Watts Continuous / 800 Watts Peak Power)Exceptional sound quality, wide frequency bandwidth and dynamic rangeExtremely powerful 12'' long-excursion driver provides incredibly deep bass and acoustic powerProprietary 1.75'' titanium-diaphragm compression driver for exceptional high-frequency reproductionProprietary horn design for ultra-wide sound dispersion
Question: I'm confused, according to Behringer the VP1220F is a floor monitor with 12" woofer and 1.75" tweet. This product page talks about the VS
Answer: In a small room, you will experience feedback noise when your volume is high because the sound will easily bounce from walls and ceiling and feedback to the microphone. When I moved to a larger area, feedback noise did not appear even at max. volume. So volume level needs to be adjusted depending on the area you are using. I love this thing!!

User questions & answers

Question: Active or passive speakers
Answer: Active
Question: are these studio monitors connected to each other? then connected to the computer through 3.5mm jack? or what? would I need an interface that has
Answer: They are single monitors. You’re buying one that is amplified. Or two! Sold separately... inputs are XLR, 1/4” balanced TRS, and RCA unbalanced- probably best for direct out from a computer headphone jack. Also IMO a total waste of money, these monitors go so far above and beyond laptop soundcard quality, you’d get better sound out of computer speakers. These are nearfield reference monitors. & Sound via the RCA in is not great relatively.
Question: I want a monitor with 3pin connection
Answer: XLR - yes these are
Question: where is the volume control
Answer: The volume control is on the back side with the input jacks.
