Answer:	It doesn't come with the stylus. I'm sure you could use a pen or stylus, but I like just using my fingers so I can hit two notes at the same time.

Answer:	Well if what you're hoping for is a dual oscilator monosynth with a delay effect, you're pretty much not going to find anything close bellow a couple hundred bucks. You can find a used microKorg, which is digital and has four voice polyphony, and has effects including delay, for a wee bit over two hundred. And if you want analog with a built in delay, I can't think of one. A cheap Behringer delay pedal might work for you though.
Question:	also what are those little yellow cords and do they come with the product
Answer:	If you have a Behringer mixer, you would have to hook this up to your mixer via an analog input- that is, either a channel strip using line-in or a stereo/mono input, or 2-track RCA input. If you have the Behringer Q302usb mixer, you can chain the Main Outs (red and white RCA jacks) to the monotron by running an RCA to 3.5 mm stereo cable or adapter from the Monotron, then run the headphone out of the monotron back to another RCA input on that same mixer with an identical cable, or to another mixers RCA 2-track in. If you have a different Behringer mixer that has 1/4" jacks, you'll need a cable to go from the Monotron to a 1/4" jack. Basically you're going to need a cable or adapter to go from the Monotron's 3.5 mm headphone out stereo jack to either another 3.5 mm jack, 1/4" jack, or RCA jacks.

Answer:	Another current sound the MiniNova can easily do is the screechy feedback resonance. I haven't tried to get this sound on the Korg, but it would be worth a try.

Answer:	you will need an interface to record an analog line level signal into a computer. you can hook it up usb from midi with a converter, bit you will only be communicating MIDI signals, not analog sound. That goes for most usb connections between digital keys and OS's. You can control virtual instruments using it as a midi controller but thats not what you buy this for. For example though:you could control the microkorg with another MIDI controller if you want bigger keys, and with a controller with surface control faders /knobs you can assign all functions to those as well. In summary: No it doesnt come with editing software.

Answer:	Yes you can. It has MIDI IN also MIDI via USB. So you can hook any keyboard with MIDI OUT into it or to use the USB MIDI In, then you would hook both to a computer and play it that way.

Answer:	This is analog synthesizer and it doesn't have a sequencer or recorder built in. The purpose is to generate monophonic sounds. You can connect an external sequencer and control the MS20 via MIDI. It is quite bewildering for an absolute beginner.
Question:	how do i get this to work with Abelton ? do i need a midi interface
Answer:	you connect the different modules together, often in interesting ways. For example...a sine wave oscillator can be used to make a pure tone, OR you can slow it WAY down and use the patch cord to control an audio filter to make an undulating wah-wah tone. You don't hear the sine wave, you use it to control some other function. This was Moog's original innovation and is used time and time again in modular synthesizers (and in digital ones, but the connection is less obvious when you're just adjusting parameters on a screen).

Answer:	You should look into a groovebox (Deluge from NZ is best, mc707, mpc or a major DAW for the application you are describing. This is an excellent analog synthesthizer with 500 presets/patches that can save a sequence to each. That could complment a song but you would need a way to record everything if you were to compose entire songs with it. A looper pedal and a drum machine with this synthesizer and your guitar would go a long ways as well. Cheers and good luck.

It has one MIDI out port and a USB connection, so you can use it if you wish to control virtual instruments on your computer or a hardware synth (or multiple hardware synths if you daisy chain them or use a MIDI through box or MIDI Router). If you only wish to use it as a controller and not make use of its awesome analog synth capabilities you'd probably do better though getting a dedicated (w/o a built in synth) MIDI Controller at least cost-wise.

Question:	I play mostly country which is pretty simple, nothing real fancy. Will this work for that
Answer:	If you are trying to record the audio, you need an audio interface with 1/4 inputs (same size as the output on your keyboard). MIDI alone can't be used to send or receive sound to and from the keyboard. You can use MIDI to sync your keyboard to the clock (BPMs) of ableton. Or, you can use midi to send electronic signals from tour keyboard to different instruments in ableton, like the MIDI sampler, but the sounds that you hear will be from the ableton instrument, not your keyboard. Finally, you can use the MIDI writing functions in ableton to send electronic signals to your keyboard, but in order for you to record the sound, you'll still need a 1/4 out going into an audio interface, so that ableton can hear it.
Question:	so can you only store 8 patterns on this drum machine? and if so is the memory expandable

Answer:	Just so folks know: these "cables" are just pieces of stranded wire with pin tips crimped on. Should your stash go AWOL, ordinary 22 or 24 AWG *solid* wire will work just fine, in a pinch. If you're emotionally attached to the little rubber grippy tips, search for "jumpers" in the Electronics Department -- 50 pcs. normally runs less than $10.

Question:	Can it be used without a loptop
Answer:	Does your soundcard has any MIDI IO? If it doesn't you can buy really cheap MIDI-USB thingys (http://www.amazon.com/M-Audio-Midisport-Uno-MIDI-Interface/dp/B00007JRBM/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1412093115&sr=8-5&keywords=midi+usb is one I would recommend, but there are cheaper out there). Either way, you need to sync it via MIDI. After you have solved the problem of interfacing the MIDI of your Volcabeats, you need to setup the midi channels in Logic, the volca beats only receive MIDI (that is, they don't send MIDI signal), so you'll need an audio channel in logic which sends MIDI and receives audio. In Ableton, we have "external instrument", I don't really know Logic, but all DAW have the same logic (no pun intended!) and you can make your way through it. :) Drop me a line if you could/couln't set it up.

Answer:	Thank you for the response. Actually I decided to try it myself and went to the local music store. Within minutes I programmed 7/8 signature. Also tried it on a keyboard amp, and the sound is decent, not pathetic as through its built in speaker. Anyway, I bought it.

Answer:	I would listen to the sounds on a YouTube video so you can hear it for yourself. They arent the most realistic drum sounds but any percussion is fun to play to.... and it is quite easy to program.

Answer:	Yes, you can only store 8 patterns, and there's no expandable memory.

I'm sure it is possible to connect the volva sample and operate it in abelton but without knowing what you are trying to do with it I cannot provide anymore insight

Answer:	Not sure about how many instruments, but you can almost get an infinite variety of sounds. I got dexed and I downloaded a lot of patches with it, and it's awesome...

Answer:	My volca bass came with a KA-350 power supply, which is the model referenced to use with this daisy chain. So, I would imagine that yes it would work, but I have no first hand experience with it. Good luck!

Answer:	Yes. You only need a plug or can also use batteries. The sound will only come through headphones or speakers if you connect them to the monologue but you don’t need a computer

Answer:	The Korg Monologue doesn’t have a built in speaker. You will need to plug in headphones into the headphone jack to hear the sound the synth makes. The other option is to connect a speaker to the output jack on the back in the Monologue.

Answer:	You can import patches but not samples. This is a monophonic synth not a sampler. For a sampler I would recommend the Volca Sample.

Answer:	It does work as a midi controller, though I must say there are far better keyboards in this (and considerably less) price range for use as a midi controller. This is an amazing, portable monophonic synth. If you are looking for modern analogue sounds, this is it. However, the assignability of knobs is not conducive to midi controlling, and the single pitch bend slider is good for use with the on-board functions, but lacks much when used as a controller. I'd recommend this product in a heartbeat for use in the production of modern and classic analogue sounds at an affordable price. For midi controlling, however, I'd look elsewhere.
