Question:	What’s the difference between $1000 and this one
Answer:	This flute is made from junk metal, cannot be repaired, isn’t in tune, cannot be sold if your kid stops playing and has closed holes. A $1000 flute is a professional instrument.

Answer:	This Glory Flute is amazing for the price. Better than many double or triple the price. Nice mellow sounds. The flute is all metal and very polished.
Question:	How well does it play compared to an Armstrong flute
Answer:	There is a WORLD of difference between these flutes and even the entry level Armstrong, starting with durability but extending to tone, embouchure, key action, pads, springs, and serviceability - just to START. The ONLY time spending money on one of these is "worth it" is if there are no other options, in my opinion. Who am I to say so? I have played flute(s) for 46 years in marching bands; concert bands; orchestras; as a soloist & in ensembles; for festivals, weddings, and other events. I was chosen for a prestigious youth symphony, a nationally known marching band, and hired by a pro symphony orchestra at age 20. I have played Artley, Bundy, De Ford, Emerson, Selmer, Armstrong, Gemeinhardt, Pearl, Azumi, Yamaha, Muramatsu, Powell and Haynes flutes, in addition to nearly all of the recent Chinese imported brands like Sky, Glory, Mendini, etc. I have also played Artley, Armstrong, Gemeinhardt, Jupiter, and Yamaha piccolos (and tried the imports, too). I've taught flute lessons for over 30 years, and I've worked with flute techs, ad by myself, on almost every instrument brand over the last decade. The BIGGEST PROBLEM with cheap,imported flutes is that that are not fixable. Many techs will not work on them. The metal is soft/poor quality. They bend easily and the springs, keys and tome holes do not last. The companies do not stand behind them. (Try returning one for warranty work.) You MIGHT have time to learn the fingering for notes before your flute expires, or if you are exceptional, your instrument may last longer. You are, in my EXPERT opinion, far better off to spend a bit more and get even a USED Armstrong, Gemeinhardt, Yamaha, Emerson, Artley, etc. than to buy one of these. Silver, even plate, sounds MUCH different than "cupronickel metal" colored silver (or something else). A beginner won't hear it. A musician will.

Answer:	A 16 hole flue would have 2 keys on the foot joint and a 17 hole four would have 3 keys on the foot joint. That is the difference in the sizes. Look at the foot joint to know which you would need.

Answer:	the total length is about inside: 16.16inch outside: 17.13inch

Question:	My daughter is required to play an wind instrument in starting in the 4th grade. Is this a good flute for her to grow into for band
Answer:	The 500 series is considered their professional line. The basic flutes are the 200 series (ie, Yamaha 222, 282, etc) and the step up models are the 300 and 400 series (ie, Yamaha 382, 462, etc. ). That said, this price range overlaps heavily with other brands’ higher-level step-up models. So in terms of price point, it would be comparable to step-up/advanced intermediate models.

Answer:	NO!!! This flute is awful. I bought it for a beginner and it doesn't play high notes well. I would go too a music store to get one.

Answer:	Our flute is produced for player who wants to advance from beginner to intermediate performer, it meets the requirements of beginners for tone and pitch, as well as requirements of intermediate players for timbre, especially the silver-plated EFL-2, which sounds better.

So my answer to your question is yes! There’s a little black plastic thing that comes with it, it took us a couple of weeks to realize it’s a stand for the flute.
