Answer:	The rosin was already attached to mine also. Rosin is very sticky so you can probably reattach the cloth. I would lay out a paper towel on an ironing board. Put the rosin on it, followed by the cloth, followed by another paper towel to protect your iron. On a lower heat setting, warm the rosin through the paper towel until it seems to stick to the cloth.

How to choose viola sizes

Our violas are available in 7 different sizes: 16.5", 16" (also known as full size), 15.5", 15", 14", 13" and 12". 16.5" viola is the biggest and 12" viola is the smallest. Most adults use 16" violas.

To measure what size viola best suits you, you need to know the length between your neck and the middle of your left-hand palm (when your hand is fully extended and raised perpendicular to your body, just like holding a violin). Most of the teachers prefer students to use the length from the neck to the wrist for measurement instead of the neck to mid-palm approach. The viola size determined by the neck/wrist approach would be the size that is more comfortable for students to hold. Answer:	Some people do and some dont but my daughter takes a little piece of sandpaper or coin to lightly break the glossy seal of the rosin when its new. Tighten your bow and stroke it back and forth across the rosin before playing. You'll have to experiment with your own instrument to figure out exactly how many strokes is enough but if it's a brand new string with no rosin ever applied I'd give it at least 40-50 strokes to start.

Answer:	This might be a bit thick for that...I use it to clean off the outside of my flute, which is rose gold plated. It would probably absorb enough to work, I'm just not sure if it is thin enough to get through the whole flute. That is a big problem as the student will get frustrated (and so will their teacher) and all too often will quit playing because of the cheap method of construction. Do Not Buy Any Super Cheap Instruments!!! Would you expect a super cheap car to be reliable and safe? Of course not!! Why do you think this is different?
