| Answer: | If you are new to myofacial release (aka foam rolling) then I'd stick with the MB1. The MBX, which is what I have, is much firmer. It's not quite softball but certainly harder than a tennis ball. I'm guessing the MB1 is probably closer to tennis ball than a baseball in terms of firmness whereas the MBX is pretty close to softball firmness. Also, FYI I had originally purchased the 2.6" size but found it to be too small for my needs. The 2.6 would probably be best for treating upper back muscles whereas the larger size is great for glutes, calves, chest and for me also works great on upper back. |
