Answer:	The pedal has reversible polarity, so it will work with all keyboards.

Answer:	It appears this is a simple on/off switch pedal. For continuous or gradient performance the phrases to look for in sustain pedal description are "half-damper" or "half-pedaling." If there is no indication by the manufacturer of one of those descriptions, the pedal is just an on/off switch. If your digital piano or electronic keyboard supports half-damper, then a half-damper pedal varies the nature of the sustain effect based on how far down you depress the pedal. The only half-damper pedals I have found so are the Yamaha FC3A, Roland DP-10, and Korg DS1H. The half-damper effect emulates the action on an acoustic piano of lifting the felt damping pads only part way off of the strings.

The pedals will not have a switch to change polarity and will operate as normally open. This means that the pedal will send a value of 0 when up and a value of 127 when pressed down all the way. Different manufacturers may program their keyboards to respond to the opposite (127 when up, 0 when down) and to combat this some pedals may come with a switch to change the polarity of the pedal to match that of the keyboard. (With a real piano or a digital piano that supports half-damper, if you release the pedal partway, it dampens the sounds a bit but doesn't kill it completely.) To get half-damper capability use a pedal like the Yamaha FC3A.

Answer:	I don’t have that keyboard but it would probably work in the “hold” jack. It is really just a basic on/off switch. Just be sure it is plugged in before you turn the keyboard on, otherwise the polarity will be backwards and it will hold when up and release when depressed.

Why is there a polarity switch？

1. There is no consensus between manufacturers concerning polarity. when some pedals are connected to some electric music keyboards, pressing the pedal will turn off the sustain – he exact opposite of what should happen.

2. Generally, If you step on the pedal, the keyboard have a sustain effect; If you don't step on the pedal, the keyboard will be not sustain effect.

3. When you step on pedal, if no sustain effect, please turn the polarity switch to other side.

Answer:	The polarity is reversed. There are a couple of ways to fix this. When the pedal is in and acting backwards, power the keyboard off and then turn it back on with pedal plugged in. Try powering the keyboard on and then plugging in the pedal. Another way is to power down, insert pedal, step down on it and power the keyboard on.
