User questions & answers

Question: I've always wondered which are closer to the true sound, the PA speakers or the more expensive high end tower speakers
Answer: USE A EQ AND MIXER ON IT AND YOU CAN REFINE YOUR OUT PUT ON EITHER ONE..USE A GOOD AMP
Question: Is just one of these enough
Answer: I wanted a stereo system, so I bought two and connected one as a slave. Otherwise a single unit puts out a LOT of distortion free sound at only 50% volume.
Question: Line outs (xlr or 1/4 ts), if only 1 line output is connect will the signal be summed-so as only mixer 1 channel would be required to di connect a kb
Answer: use a XLR connectorn, they have less noise because of the three wire jack, more durable wont break.and correct on the question, but the mixer covers all channels as the equlizer, yes you can run one channel like that, but not get sterio
Question: In just two years of use it suddenly stopped working by itself. no sound at all and eq lights flash even after unplugging. has anyone else seen this

User questions & answers

Question: I see this has an input for using a subwoofer. Does the subwoofer have to have it's own built in amp, or can it be a passive subwoofer
Answer: The subwoofer output of the K450FX will need to connect to an amplifier and passive subwoofer.
Question: Is this amp good for jamming? Will I be able to hear my keyboard over a guitar and drums
Answer: The amp has volume levels for adjustments. You can turn the keyboard volume up pretty high, high enough for it to be uncomfortable for people in a small room. So I think the keyboard could hang in there with the guitars and drums.. Of course, the amp has 3 inputs. You could actually run a couple of guitars AND a keyboard in it at one time, or a microphone, guitar and keyboard... I think it will handle your jamming if you don't play extremely loud.
Question: is there a gain switch for electrie guitar
Answer: I'd recommend something else if you are only going to play electric guitar. No built in distortion. I love my Cube amp with my strat. But of course if you have guitar rig software, you can make anything work.
Question: does the speaker turn off with the headphones plugged in
Answer: Yes

User questions & answers

Question: can you use sep. effects petals, i have a volcal harminizer effects petal, can that be hooked up to my mic
Answer: Yes! It gives a clean sound, easy to carry, and loud enough for medium size places. I used these for church and they were perfect.
Question: Can I use it on 220V
Answer: 600 watts !!! No way, try to compare this with another amp such as Roland keyboard amp.I own a Behringer K1800FX, rated at 180 watts, same look and physical size as this one and I would say it delivers about 80 watts at most. This kind of output rating gives me lot of doubts about the manufaturers of lower quality brands (such as Behringer, Pyle, etc...). ROLAND, FENDER don't do that.
Question: Can I use this as a vocal amplifier/PA
Answer: I know this is an old question but my answer will apply to just about any amp with a stereo link. A stereo link allows you to connect another amp. The output sends the signal to another amp and the input receives the signal from another amp. Adding another KXD12 using the stereo link would give you a total of 8 channels to work with. I can also say that this will also function as a built in effects loop because I have used it that way.
Question: Is this amp mainly used for keyboards or acoustic guitars? What is it best suited for
Answer: Yes, this amp sounds nice for that. However, if you are looking for a LOUD amp this one might not be enough. I recommend you use a preamp or boost your output signal to the KXD12 for best results. It also works good when connected to a PA system. On a side note, I have had intermittent issues with the built in effects unit and the eq sliders are a bit delicate. Overall, for the money I paid, I’ve been happy with the KXD12.

User questions & answers

Question: Will this work hooked to the berhinger ppa 2000bt
Answer: Get a return receipt & take it to UPS
Question: Passive or powered? Sorry if its in the description, i didnt see it
Answer: You're right on the border with this one ....depends how LOUD the drummer and band are
Question: I need to return this item. How does one do that? It has not been opened. Just bought one too many
Answer: No.
Question: Could I use this as a keyboard and vocal amp for rehearsal? Would I be able to hear it over the drums
Answer: Yes, it works with headset mic.
Question: does this item come with a protective cover
Answer: 500 peak and about 168 watts rms based on a review and measurements of Behringer A500 Amplifier it's a different amp but was also 500w. All behringer ratings are inflated and as a general rule of thumb their true rms is 1/3 of stated wattage.
Question: Any way you can connect a headset mic with this system
Answer: This subwoofer has A and B channel pass-through ports. Just send the left and/or right channel output from the mixer, then connect the powered speaker to the A or B channel pass-through connection. The sub has a crossover for the sub-frequencies but passes through all frequencies to the powered speakers. You can use 1 or 2 of these subs in a stereo scenario.

User questions & answers

Question: Would this speaker be ideal for home karaokee for a room size 15'x
Answer: It has combo inputs, so you shouldn't need an adapter at all to use a 1/4" mono cable as your input.
Question: What kind of a adapter would I need to quarter inch mono cable
Answer: Because it is a stereo signal and a mono jack the signal gets messed up. You need a 1/8th inch (headphone jack) to DUAL mono 1/4 inch. Plug those into inputs 1 and 2 and turn the channels up equally. Then it will sound fine.
Question: I tried plugging in my phone with a 1/4inch trs to 1/8 inch aux cord and it sounded awful as if the music i was playing was mono..how can i fix this
Answer: No, it is not battery-powered.
Question: Is it battery powered
Answer: You can plug anything you'd like into re 205, but I wouldn't recommend using it for a bass amp. Could be used as a low power practice amp.

User questions & answers

Question: Anything of same quality but smaller in size? Bought one without realizing the size and weight. Looking for something for practice and jamup with
Answer: Yes, you can use a mic with this amp.
Question: How is the driver improved? is it a servo speaker? im interested in response and snr
Answer: Yes, the adapter has about a 4-6 foot long AC power plug, and about 10 feet of low voltage DC cable to the speaker cabinet. I bought two matching units, one for each channel of my Nord Grand piano. I love them! At about 25% power to the amps, gain way down on the Nord, it sounds so much like a big grand harp/string piano. Can shut my eyes and am sitting behind my mother's Kimball from my childhood... lots of room/power left to play to a bigger venue also.
Question: Is this a Stereo amp
Answer: The AMP has three pre-amps, gains and input jacks, however it only has one power amp/master output, so it would "squish" Stereo into mono. I bought two of these amps and use them with a Nord Stage Grand, one left, one right channel. At approximately 25% of full power with the two amps, it is at least as loud as an acoustic string/harp Grand like a Kimball or White. If you have a stereo instrument, like a piano, best to get two amps and use them as a pair if you want the spacial quality of stereo, like in acoustic performance settings. If you are only looking for a monitor amp and intend to feed into a large PA, then one might work fine.
Question: Is the 100W amp loud enough for live rock-n-roll (keys, guitar, bass, drums, vox) in small to medium sized clubs
Answer: Weighs around 50LB Approx 2' X 2' X 1.5' makes it easy to travel with.
