AT-101 Tuning Procedure:

• Press and hold the button to turn on (or off) the tuner.
• Press and release the button to select the tuning mode (C)hromatic, (G)uitar, (B)ass, (V)iolin, or (U)kelele.
• Clip the tuner onto the headstock, scroll or peg board of your instrument.
• Play a single note on your instrument. In Guitar, Bass, Violin, and Ukelele modes, the display shows the string number and the note name. In Chromatic mode, the display shows the note name. If the backlight stays blue, the meter will show whether the note is flat or sharp. Tune the string until it is in tune, the meter will then be centered and the backlight will turn green.

This is a set of six guitar tuners/machine heads, complete with mounting screws (12) and press-fit chromed plastic bushings . There are 3 tuners meant for the left side of the headstock, and 3 meant for the right side - if you need all of them to be on one side of the headstock (called 6-in-a-line), this is not the set for you! The shafts of these tuners are 1/4" in diameter and have holes at the END (not the center). The shafts are just under 1 inch in length and the distance from the plate to the string hole is just over 7/8" (22.5mm). These tuners can be used for repair work, new instrument building, and are especially good for Cigar Box Guitars! Please note that it is important to mount these on the correct side of the headstock, otherwise the gears may slip. Always make sure the brass gear is aligned towards the body of the instrument, and not the top of the headstock, and you'll know you have them on the correct side!

Product description

This is a set of three Chrome-plated sealed-gear guitar tuners for Cigar Box Guitars, "2 Left/1 Right" configuration on the headstock, depending on the option you choose. Note that the "left" and "right" designation refers to where they are mounted when looking at the BACK of the headstock.



These tuners feature screw-in style bushings instead of the press fit variety, with a single screw used to mount them from the back. The bushing screws directly into the main tuner housing, through the headstock, for a snug, secure fit. The washer goes on the front of the headstock between the bushing nut and the wood, for a stylish, distinctive look.



These great tuners can be used on cigar box guitars, regular guitars, diddley bows, banjos -- pretty much any stringed instrument that can be set up with a standard machine head!



These tuners are intended for headstocks that are between 0.46" (11.72mm) and 0.65" (16.5mm) thick. A good rule of thumb is 1/2" to 5/8" thick, with 9/16" being the ideal. Trying to use these with thicker or thinner headstocks may not work.



This tuner set includes 3 metal chrome-plated screw-in bushings, screws and washers.
