Answer:	I've tried both, and I'd say the polyweb coated strings are less bright. I prefer a brighter sound so I go with the nanoweb.

Answer:	I have used almost every brand of strings on my various Martin acoustics. Elixirs stand above the crowd in terms of tone quality. 80/20 bronze bring out the best but need changing about every 2-3 months max for a daily player. Phosphor-bronze have less nuanced tone but still excellent, and seem to last almost twice as long. Recommend 80/20 for the regular player who wants the most "detailed" tone, P-B for more occasional playing and longer life. Discerning players will be happy with either in any case.

Answer:	80/20s bronze will initially be brighter. Phosphor bronzes will be warmer. 80/20s become warmer after use more quickly and may become undesirable to use more quickly because the strings are no longer giving you the desired tone you started with. Phosphor bronzes hold their initial tone longer, but are by design, warmer. Projection (beyond gauge of the strings~heavy vs medium vs light vs extralight) and ease of fingering have much more to do with the guitar you're using, style of playing (use of a pick/how hard you're strumming/finger-picking), and setup (tuning~you drop down a half a step, the strings will have less tension and will be easier to bend).

Answer:	The strings I purchased have a large blue-rimmed circle. They are "Custom Light" with a purple circled "11". Strings are MA175, 80/20 Bronze.

Answer:	What I received are 3.7 volt and 1650mAh. The one that came with my camera is marked 3.7v, but cannot tell what mAh. It's not marked anything readable. The voltage seems to be the important part as I've been using these interchangeably in my camera without problems.

Answer:	I purchased the batteries for my Nikon camera, which came with a Nikon MH-61 charger.The charger took about an hour to initially charge the batteries. The time to recharge after use depends upon how much power I've drained from the battery. Hope this helps.

Answer:	Some sellers don't exactly know what balanced tension strings are so they probably though you just wanted 9's

Answer:	Yes if you're looking for a vintage or is slightly warmer tone. Up until the 70s pure nickel wrap was the most common and most used strings for electric - it wasn't until the 70s that nickel plated steel with more output and slightly longer life started coming into manufacture and more widespread use. Today many blues players, and jazz players who do not want to use flat wound strings, preferred the all nickel wound strings
Question:	Would these be okay for a Harmony acoustic electric guitar and what gauge strings
Answer:	Hi, yes they are good strings for that guitar. I bought them looking for a warm jazzy tone, but these caliber are hard to play.
Question:	Are the unwound strings coated with the same material as the wound strings? Also, is the G string wrapped in 9-42 sets
Answer:	On sets over 12 gauge on the first string... the 3rd string is wound. Under 11 gauge E string the G is plain.Overall great strings these pure nickel ones.
Question:	At what point on the size scale does the 3-string (G) become a wound string? Individual string dimension should be stated in the specs
Answer:	Pure Nickel is less susceptible to the magnetic field, and thus warmer. A lot of blues players use them. Think 50/60’s sound. Nickel Wound, has a steel core, which are affected more by the pick-up magnets. Those strings have a brighter attack. Hope that helps! Always try them yourself, personal taste may differ.

Answer:	No. Not yet.
Question:	is the 3rd string wound
Answer:	Typically for an acoustic guitar you want acoustic strings, commonly phosphor bronze. These are for an electric guitar and have an unwound fourth string. They can be used in any guitar if you choose. I would suggest 11's on the light and up to 13's. I typically use 12's in my acoustic guitars
Question:	What light and medium and custom light means
Answer:	The plain strings are treated with an anti-rust coating thats different from the nanoweb wrap or the other strings. The 3rd is plain steel in the 9-42.
Question:	is therea ball at end of the string
Answer:	Usually a wound 3rd is clearly stated on strings packaging, as that is a salient feature. You will find this often in electric sets 12-52, usually labelled "Heavy" or "Jazz." In most cases the wound G string starts at .021 or .022, but I've seen sets that wind the g at .018-.019. I know this is more general info and not related to Elixir, but I'm guessing it applies to their strings, too.

Answer:	Yes, they are lightweight strings.

Answer:	Wide enough. These are 12's. Light gauge string. They'll fit just about any acoustic guitar. The width of the neck (if that's what you mean when you say "how wide?") doesn't matter. These are the strings Martin recommends for most of their guitars by default.
Question:	What is the difference between light, custom light, etc? I just receivrd my new Martin acoustic snd want to get a spare identical pair
Answer:	The custom light strings are a bit smaller in diameter than the light as shown below, per martin specs. Actually, there is an even lighter gauge called extra light. I like using the extra light for finger picking. I'll list all three categories. The gauges are listed starting with the 1st string (small E) etc. I won't bother to list the medium gauge strings. Extra light: .010 .014 .023 .030 .039 .047 Custom light: .011 .015 .023 .032 .042 .052 Light: .012 .016 .025 .032 .042 .054 The strings you mention being light gauge 92/8 Phosphor Bronze, model MA140S. The Phosphor Bronze type are much better than the cheaper 80/20 Bronze. Martin sells both types with all different gauges, but they ship most of their guitars with the 92/8 Phosphor Bronze. Stay with them. If you are using your guitar for your own enjoyment you might try using the extra light in 92/8 Phosphor Bronze type. Works good for me. They are listed as model MA170S

Answer:	Bronze. Perfectly safe. Just the skin oils pH reaction to bronzing. Not harmful and it is the same with all guitar strings that are coated with bronze. Nothing to be worried about.

Answer:	Santa Cruz does not supply this information because their whole philosophy behind constructing strings is different. I would guess though that thy are in the medium to medium light category , along the lines of 11-52. Hope that helps. For a better explanation check out their website.
Question:	Will they fit a MG
Answer:	I believe they are phosphor bronze, but I'm not certain. Soundwise on a vintage D-18, they are very bright on the attack. High quality strings for sure, but they don't last any longer than Daddario phosphor bronze.

Answer:	I used them on a 6-string and since they come in a regular 6 string pack. As far as results go I was pleased but decided to stick with my normal EJ-16s since they were a little brighter on the Taylor.
