The Pure Mini is a transducer-only system. No battery, no onboard electronics, just the pure pickups. Don't be fooled by the sound of some competitors' "thin sounding" passive systems. Advantages of the Pure Guitar System The special Pure surface transducers transmit a significant portion of the soundboard because they are not as close to the strings as an under-saddle pickup. Each of the 3 transducers is designed to pick up a specific string pair, but also "listens" to the adjacent area around the bridge. The Pure pickups are not under pressure and therefore do NOT sound percussive or harsh. The Pure System reproduces all strings nicely balanced, a known problem with under-saddle pickups. Feedback Resistance How safe is the Pure System with feedback? Due to the Pure System's location on the bridge plate under the bridge, feedback resistance is comparable to under-saddle transducers. Technically, a pickup installed in or on the bridge is a lot less likely to feedback than one which is attached to the open sound board. The 1/8" thin sound board can act like a diaphragm and vibrate along with loud sound-signals from speaker cabinets. This is the kind of feedback you experience on an acoustic guitar. The thicker bridge area is a lot harder to be set into vibration from an outside source simply because of its mass. In our tests with both, steel string and classic guitars equipped with an under-saddle pickup plus the Pure System, we were able to achieve about the same gain-before-feedback with both systems.

Answer:	If you are building a fulcimer, I think so, otherwise I don't know how you would install it. They are mounted under the bridge plate ( superglued). UNLESS you are building the instrument, I don't know how you would install it. You also have to drill the jack mount to the end of the dulcimer. I own a 4 string dulcimer and there is no way to install.

Answer:	You still should get sound. I am not sure how good it will be. I have not had any experience with this.

Answer:	No, it will work fine in your HD28V - I put one in an HD28 and it sounded great. The mini captures the true essence of your guitar and every one I've installed (mostly in my own guitars), has sounded full and balanced.

Answer:	It is installed by applying superglue to the pick ups and gluein them to the bridge plate inside the guitar. It comes with a set up jig and some putty to make sure everything is aligned properly. An average do it yourselfer should be able to accomplish this project, but a luthier would probably do it for around $50. They do sound great by the way in my custom 28.

Answer:	I lost my regular black one that my dad gave me. I didn't even consider a different capo. I love the gold color and shimmer, it looks so pretty with my acoustic orange Ibanez!

Answer:	The properties of the pad on the capo are such that this capo is likely to work well with either a six-string acoustic or a six-string electric guitar. The fact is: the difference in radius between most guitar fretboards is very small. There are a few exceptions to this, but if you own one of those guitars you probably already know that using a special capo is preferred. In addition, keep in mind that that capo works by pressing the strings down, not actually making perfect contact with the fretboard. This minimizes the differences even further.

Answer:	I know that this is slightly curved to match the necks of steel string electrics and acoustics, but because of its rubber surgace i think it will do fine. It is more universal than other capos ive used, and i think that for at least most of the neck of a classical it would do what it needs to.

Answer:	I bought both the "6 Rosewood Acoustic" and "E Electric Quick Change Capo". The rubber pad is 1/32 (.031") inch longer on the acoustic capo. The spring on the acoustic capo is stronger. The photos look like there is a rubber pad to protect the edge of the fretboard, but there IS NO PAD to protect the eedge of the fretboard. It is a piece of tape. It may provide some protection. The clamp leg could be longer. If you accidentally release before completely on, the end of the clamp leg may press against the neck.

Answer:	Each guitar string have a different gauge (diameter) so that each string can have its own distinctive sound. The larger the diameter, the heavier the string. Normally the string with the larger diameter goes closer to your body, so in the case of a leftie, you would need to flip them.

Answer:	It has so far survived my purchase for my 3 year old (now 4) for a year now. He doesn't really want to learn chords, but enjoys de-tuning it. It is surprisingly well-constructed.

Answer:	Normal nylon (not steel) classical guitar strings are compatible, yes. We do not recommend using steel strings (too much tension for such a short scale), but any classical guitar string set will work perfectly with the Loog Mini: You'd have to use strings 2nd (B), 3rd (G) and 4th (D), tuned up to E-B-G, respectively. Answer:	I don't remember mine smelling of chemicals.
Question:	Can a left handed person use this
Answer:	In actuality they could use it. I am left handed, and learned to play right handed. Although, I always ask myself.., what ify Parents would’ve gotten me a left handed guitar.., would I have progressed faster ? Nevertheless, it can be done, and is actually quite common. A lot of great guitar players are lefties, and play a right handed GEE-TAR ! Possibly, you can purchase a left handed model ? If not.., good luck and enjoy.
