User questions & answers

Question: I'm looking for a deeper tone on my mandolin, and am a beginner; more interested in melody than chords (I think). Would this be a suitable pick
Answer: Return it for an exchange before the return point expires
Question: Are these available burnished in the opposite direction? Like for a leftie? I play right handed but tend to arch my thumb the opposite direction
Answer: This bypasses the original cable connection and converts the output from cable to HDMI
Question: The size seen here is confusing...can i get this in centimetres...i can see 0.1x4.4x3.4inches...4.4inches is quite long for the dimension of any pick
Answer: Yes. The Super Famicom is compatible with this cable.
Question: Is this the standard smooth 1.5 pick
Answer: I did some research and it seems Moto E4 does not have MHL/SlimPort require to detect the cord. You can try Miracast if you have a smart TV. You can using this cord to see if it works but i don't guarantee it. Some people say Plus have Mirco to Hdmi so maybe your model has it to. Try getting this and if this don't work get your refund and buy mirco to hdmi and then get a hdmi to rca adapter. Tell me if this works.

User questions & answers

Question: how many
Answer: Not even close. It’s a pack of 12 picks. The “500” is the line of picks. Think of it this way — you go to the dealer and look at a Chrysler 300. Do you expect to walk out with 300 cars? It’s just the product line like MaxGrip, or Stiffo, etc.
Question: How many picks for $8.29?? that's kind of important
Answer: I have tried all of them even the prime tone and flow picks. The ones I found are the best are ultex sharp .60 .73. I also like the tortex sharp picks t3 .60 .73 .88. Each time you play and as strings settle the string tension changes. You can never settle with just one pick.
Question: Lots of bad reviews is it as good as people say
Answer: I’m not sure they are rigid and when used with nylon stings they may give a “clucking “ sound
Question: Is this really 500 picks
Answer: The only kind of pick I've used in the last 45+ years is Fender Heavy, and I bought a big bag of them back then, so my experience is with the ones made in the late 70's. With that in mind, the Fender Heavy picks are thicker (.96mm vs .73mm), so there's that. The Dunlops have what feels like a coating similar to flat paint that gives better grip. That coating wears off in time, but I think the "better grip" still applies (somewhat, at least). It seems like the material wears differently, but I'm not sure that I've put in enough playing hours on the Dunlops to get a very good idea of how they wear over time. But what wear I have seen is very minimal with no jagged edges. I don't do many pick slides, but when I have I couldn't feel any divots in the edge of the pick. Anyway, I like the Dunlops, and have purchased a couple more dozen. I hope this helps.

Jim Dunlop Tortex Flow Standard .88mm Guitar Picks (558P.88)

JIM DUNLOP

Based on 1 reviews Check latest price

Product description

First released in 1981, Tortex Picks were originally intended to be a high quality replacement for tortoiseshell. Jim Dunlop’s trail-blazing creation became so much more than that, however, establishing its own identity and becoming the new standard by which all other picks are judged.

Building on the precision, consistency, and color-coded gauge system he introduced with Nylon Picks, Jim resolved to create a pick with a bright and snappy attack, superior memory and durability, and an improved grip. He chose Delrin as his base material and then spent more than a year developing a special treatment process to draw out its full potential. This treatment process is what sets Tortex Picks apart from all others, providing their unique grip-enhancing matte surface and aggressive attack. Finally, Jim expanded on his previous picks’ color-coded gauge system to create the bright and timeless palette that has become an industry standard. Because we stick to Jim’s original formula, Tortex Picks remain our bestselling pick line. And we still make them at the Dunlop HQ in Benicia, California.

With Tortex, Jim Dunlop launched a revolution, and the world of picks has never been the same. The turtle logo is instantly recognizable, and the vibrant Tortex palette has become a gauging shorthand for guitar players. Go into any music store and ask for Green or Yellow Picks—chances are, you’ll be shown a pack of Tortex .88mm or .73mm Picks. Countless musicians across the world, representing every genre and playing style, have chosen Tortex Picks to help them do what they love.

Made in the USA.

  • Tortex flow picks combine the bright snap of Tortex picks with the geometry of flow picks

Since Amazon would delete their phone number and website info you will need to fill in the blanks. It's a dot communication starting with jimdunlop.
Question: What types of picks are included
Answer: If you look at the second image -- the back of the pack -- the picks are listed there. If you are using a so-called "smart" device you may need to go to an actual computer to get that image. The third image is a picture of the actual picks included. I can't "cut and paste" the list unfortunately.

User questions & answers

Question: Will it work with ukuleles
Answer: Yes this product will. It is probably the most versatile piece of equipment you will ever own.I bought a sheet of 1/2 " plywood and cut off a side to a width of 24" wide by 36" long . Then I took a scrap piece of 2"X4" to a width of 24" and screwed it to the very end of the piece of plywood which gave me a work table for changing strings, etc. On the other side, I bought an exercise mat, which is a strong foam material at Walmart and some contact cement and cut the mat to the same size as the mat and glued the mat to the sheet of plywood, and wa-lah...a cheap work table for changing strings, soldering wires, changing out pickups or anything you want to do to your guitar. Yes, this is money well spent and should fit any size neck for any instrument that has a playing neck. Also this cradle will help stop the instrument from wanting to rock from side to side.
Question: This is appropriate for les paul, prs, and fender electric guitars that are in my collection
Answer: Yes it is, I have fender and prs guitars. It also works with acoustic guitars.
Question: Will this work for a mandolin
Answer: I do not own a mandolin but the part that cradle's the neck of the instrument swivels so I do not see why it would not work for you. The angle which the body sits on the surface may be different so I wouldn't definitely have something in place to protect your instrument's finish. Good luck!
Question: Is this wide enough for a 7 string Ibanez
Answer: Yes it is. I've used it on a 7-String Jackson with a wide neck and there's no problem. I've also used it on a bass guitar.
