Answer:	It's not rated as "luggage", I wouldn't check it in with baggage as is. Perhaps if packed in its original shipping carton for extra protection. As a carry-on, check with your airline for size restrictions. This item will have to be hand-inspected by TSA. For ease of use, we do not recommend loads over 30 pounds. The heavier, the more unwieldy it is to handle. Answer:	This one; the 39 inch, if it is a standard size Strat. However, the ChromaCast case is more versatile and can hold more accessories. The material used in the Donner however are somewhat superior. But it developed a very minor stitching tear after 2 aircraft overhead bin trips; they all do unless you want to spend over $80 for a thick canvas case. Good luck!
