Question: | Could you fit a laptop or binder in the biggest front pocket |
Answer: | I know that I can fit my normal size iPad in the front pocket with an additional Samsung tablet two and a few small guitar cables and a paddle. I don’t know how large the laptop you are asking about maybe. If you include the dimensions of the laptop I can help you out |
Question: | The lower bout on my Lakland measures 16 inches across. Would it fit? It would need to compress the lower bout padding I think. Can that work |
Answer: | The lowest part of this gig bag if about 14-14.5 inch and the frame is hard (I think metal). It won't fit |
Question: | do the straps stow away? the pics on protected site show that they do but the pics on amazon show they don't. is the on pictured here on amazon a olde |
Answer: | They are Not really 100% Stowable. The back straps are DETACHABLE on one end only And remain attacked ( STITCHED) to the upper shoulder area. .. So i guess you could detach the one side and bury in them in the rear flat pocket if you wish YOU can adjust them so they become tight and stay against the Gig bag .. There is a BACK pocket as well as the two front pockets.. It is VERY STURDY , and FIRM gig bag. And Lightweight.. . |
Question: | I have a Marcus Miller Fender Jazz Bass , fits inside the case |
Answer: | Hi Carlos. It just so happens I own a 4 string Fender Marcus Miller bass. Hadn't tried it in the Contego case, so I did. It just barely fit. I fact the tuning keys are nudged slightly, which will likely alter tuning, but it does fit safely. Note that I had previously removed the standard chrome pickup cover, but I'm sure there's room for it.Hope that helps. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Can it fit a firebird |
Answer: | Yes, but I’d think you’d want something larger for that purpose. These are on the small side. I bought them to buff pens or bowls after I’ve turned them on the lathe. |
Question: | Can this fit an ES |
Answer: | No it will not fit into an impact driver, the shank is round and not a hex |
Question: | Does this have neck support for guitar like the Mono & others do |
Answer: | The only thing you need to consider is this kit contains buffing wheels, which buff and polish using the edge of the wheel (like a grinding wheel but for polishing and buffing instead), so it might be difficult to get in into the indentations and the insides of the wheel, I would recommend something similar to http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00NVLUTJM to use for the indentations & details and the inside of the wheel. But other than that, This kit is capable of polishing aluminum and steel to a state close to its original shine from 25 years ago, depending how much time you want to spend on it of course. Step 1: Use the #1 polishing compound with a hard buffing wheel for heavy duty cleaning and to remove most of the oxidation.Step 2: use #2 polishing compound with a hard buffing wheel to smooth out some of the finer surface scratches,Step 3: Use the #5 white polishing compound with a soft buffing wheel to bring out the shine. All that is included, but if you want something additional to get in into the inside of the wheel, you can check out the link above for assorted shapes of buffing felt bobs that can also be used with a drill. |
Question: | Will this fit a 335 style |
Answer: | Never got that far. |
