User questions & answers
Question: | Is it made in China |
Answer: | I’m a huge fan of The Ruby. Not everyone is. I love and have one in a Dr Z Maz Jr and a Victoria Deluxe. The Ruby is an alnico magnet speaker. The Fender you’re asking about traditionally used ceramic magnet speakers. But there’s no reason the Ruby won’t sound great in a vintage Blackface Deluxe. The Ruby responds like a great Celestion blue but can handle more power, up to 35 watts. The blue is one of the all time great speakers so the Ruby gives you that feel without chancing a blown speaker. |
Question: | Is the wattage, 70 referring to tube wattage or digital or does it matter |
Answer: | Youd have to have them very loud to get break up because of all the headroom that you have but yes you still can get breakup |
Question: | Please someone give a answer to "how many mounting holes does this speaker have |
Answer: | In the U.K. |
Question: | If i have a 4 speakers and a 100 watt head would the speakers be safe |
Answer: | confirmed with the company this warning was posted in error and has been removed by amazon |

With a larger cone delivering an extended low end response, the 100-watt Fullback has a big, deep voice, delivering smooth and expressive tones seemingly without effort.
While retaining our classic, harmonically complex and finely detailed mid-range, the larger 15" cone of the Fullback shifts this characteristic down a register. Clean sounds are warm and expressive, revealing and enhancing the qualities of your amp and guitar without unnecessary colouration. Overdrive sounds are complex and musical; push harder for a weighty, contralto growl, with a softer, warmer mid-range.
Incorporating an eight hole chassis, the Fullback is the ideal choice whether you’re looking for the perfect upgrade for your 15" combo, or you’re looking for an interesting tonal alternative to a 12" guitar speaker.

Back in 1986 a new breed of hard rock player was on the rise. To meet the demands of the players and their increasingly 'hot-rodded' amplifiers, we set out to develop a modern speaker, capable of handling much more power and overdrive. To achieve this, we coupled our 'H' magnet (the closest in performance to Alnico) with a new cone and voice coil employing contemporary materials. Our most revealing speaker, the Vintage 30 features enormously detailed and complex overtones, a warm low-end, a famously rich vocal mid-range and a beautifully detailed top-end. Used singly to reveal the complexities in hand-wired boutique amps, or in quartets for a wonderfully intricate vintage three dimensional crunch, the Vintage 30 sound has been captured on thousands of recordings by players including Slash and Peter Frampton and bands ranging from Gov't Mule to Killswitch Engage.

User questions & answers
Question: | Will it fit into a peavey vyper 30 watt combo |
Answer: | China |
Question: | Could this go into a mesa boogie mark v 90 watt combo amp |
Answer: | Yes. |
Question: | can i put this in a boss katana |
Answer: | As long as your amp is 70 watts output or less it doesn’t matter |
Question: | Are these the china or u.k. versions |
Answer: | The V-Type has 8 mounting holes. |
Question: | I feel dumb for asking but is it really 150watts? I have a 1x12 cab and the head I want is 120watts so I'm just curious if one swamp can handle it |
Answer: | As long as each of the 4 speakers is rated for 25 watts minimum. Most 100 watt heads have 16 ohm output options. If yours is so, you want 16 ohm speakers, not 8 ohm. You would wire the cabinet series/parallel to achieve an impedance of 16 ohms. |
Question: | I have a peaveybandit 112 (8ohms). its an older one pretty high powered. how would the swampthing sound? i should handle everthing else |
Answer: | Yes, it is 75 watts. The 20 watt evh most likely wont make it very loud if at all. The 120 watt head could blow it if it the volume is up past a certain point. If you have a 4x12 speaker cabinet with 4 t75s the 120 would be fine. Preamp out to the interface wouldnt be using the output section of your amp, it would be using a smaller tap made for a line input. If you mean for this speaker to be your monitor, then it wont work. An interface doesnt have the power to drive a raw speaker. My advice. Get a 4 x12 cab with t75s like a marshall 1960a for the 120 watt head and if you want the evh tone, run its effects loop out through the effects loop in of the 120 watt. Also mic the speakers. Direct out to an interface isnt the best. |
Question: | Is this 8 ohm |
Answer: | Yes. I four speakers and did that to get a 4 ohm cabinet. |
Question: | Would this pair well with a governor and a big Ben 15" for doom metal |

About the Founder
In 1966, Bob Gault founded what was to become the world’s largest loudspeaker manufacturing company after working as an engineer for Magnavox and CTS (Chicago Telephone Supply). Ironically, Gault started Eminence hoping to maintain three 18" speakers per day, based on a commitment from Ampeg’s Everett Hull. Under the leadership of Gault and most recently his son, Rob, the company’s capacity grew to over 10,000 speakers per day, employing over 240 people by 1997.
Gault was the president of Eminence from the company’s inception until 1992. He officially retired in 1993, but continued to make valuable contributions to the company. Gault passed away on October 4, 2002. He is greatly missed by his family, the music industry, and the Eminence community.

Celestion guitar speakers have been an important part of British guitar tone since the birth of Rock & Roll. Traditionally, they're known for lively and vocal midrange character with plenty of sparkle and chime, which turns into an exciting growl when overdriven, often compressing when pushed hard. Inspired by our favorite modern American tones, the A-Type is a different kind of guitar speaker from Celestion. Of course, it still has the musical and revealing three-dimensional quality that is the heart and soul of a Celestion guitar speaker, however it features a more laid-back midrange which reveals body and complexity in the upper register, accompanied by full and rounded low frequencies. The A-Type conveys a fluid, even performance with an increased headroom threshold that allows your amp's tone to shine through. Clean players will love the smooth articulation; for rockers the brooding, powerful low end threatens thunder that's only a heavy riff away!
