User questions & answers
Question: | Where to conect my graphic equalizer |
Answer: | I have a dbx 215 hooked up to my system using the DJTECH PREAMP1800, you need to get some 3 foot XLR cables to keep everything short at the back and hook them up from the back of the preamp to the EQ, then from the EQ to your amp. Use the preamp as your parametric EQ, remember that your signal from the preamp will affect the overall performance of your EQ settings to your amp, so it's recommended to set the preamp to flat response first and go from there. |

User questions & answers
Question: | those speakers are used for the audio of my car |
Answer: | These are used in bass guitar amplifiers. |
Question: | Is this a good replacement for a speaker in a trace Elliot 4 10 cabinet |
Answer: | Be sure to measure the cutout width in your cab. I have a 2X10 trace elliot and I could NOT fit these speakers into it. It originally had Celestions which are 1/8" smaller than the Eminance; 229mm compared to 233mm. I know it doesn't look like much but it won't seat properly. I went to Celestion pulse 10's. |
Question: | Will this work as a replacement woofer in an octasound sp520a box |
Answer: | that box seem more like it's using a beta 10A looking at the specs. This bp102 will have more bass potential but sacrifice midrange efficiency and not work as well with the internal crossover. Get the Eminence Beta 10A and be sure to select SpeakerAddict as the supplier ;-) |
Question: | Will this speaker work well in a sealed fender bassman 4x10 cab |
Answer: | I’m using it for upright in a ported enclosure as a single speaker powered by a portaflex 350 head. Sounds great- it should work well in a sealed cab. |

About the Founder
In 1966, Bob Gault founded what was to become the world’s largest loudspeaker manufacturing company after working as an engineer for Magnavox and CTS (Chicago Telephone Supply). Ironically, Gault started Eminence hoping to maintain three 18" speakers per day, based on a commitment from Ampeg’s Everett Hull. Under the leadership of Gault and most recently his son, Rob, the company’s capacity grew to over 10,000 speakers per day, employing over 240 people by 1997.
Gault was the president of Eminence from the company’s inception until 1992. He officially retired in 1993, but continued to make valuable contributions to the company. Gault passed away on October 4, 2002. He is greatly missed by his family, the music industry, and the Eminence community.

User questions & answers
Question: | Hello .i have sub jbl 18.and speakers jbl jrx ,this amp work for this sub and speakers |
Answer: | Yes it will and i must tell you that my team and i over here at Black Liberty Records truly love this PVX9000 Power amplifier, the mounting holes are not to US measurements but regardless we still love it. |
Question: | If its a 10000 watt amp then why is the specs 500 watts rms a channel ? And is it 4 ohm stable ? Can it hand 2 ohm speakers |
Answer: | Greetings from Black Liberty Records. I've actually played 6ea Scoop bass cabinets 1000 Watts each at 8 Ohms Ciare woofers on this power amplifier using a 20 amp outlet and had no issues. The people that makes this power amps also make amps for some of their competitors so I would not expect them to specify that with their specs. The folks I spoke with in NY says these power amp are rated at 2000 watts at 4 Ohms but to be honest I think these amplifiers are under rated because I have the Crest 9001 and this GLI PVX9000 seems to be just as powerful if not more than my Crest. I also have over 21 other power amplifiers to include the Crest 10001 and the FP20000Q and the GLI works perfectly with my setup for Bass or Mid-Bass. |
Question: | Can i power 2x18" sub? 600wattss rms on each thank u |
Answer: | Dear Mus,YesThank you |
Question: | will this piss my neighbors off......i hope so |
Answer: | I'm not sure that is a good reason to invest in an amplifier. With that said, your question can't really be answered unless one knows what kind of speakers you are hooking it up to. It is a powerful amplifier but if you don't match it to speakers that can handle that power without getting blown, it might be you that gets pissed off (or at the very least, damage your hearing). A good set of adequate speakers can cost several times the price of this amplifier. Before investing in all that, try investing in good relations with your neighbors. It will make life easier and more enjoyable living around friends, than enemies. |

- Co-designed by amp expert George Alessandro and guitar legend Eric Johnson
- The paper cone and unique basket design deliver a vintage alnico tone

User questions & answers
Question: | I just received one today and has no sticker on the magnet. No markings at all. Anyone else receive theirs like this |
Answer: | Yes, mine came exactly the same way: no sticker or markings. For what it's worth, the assembly of an AlNiCo like this is much deeper in profile (from the side) than a ceramic. And mine matches the profile of those shown in the pictures from Eminence and Amazon. It also sounds great in all the ways expected of an AlNiCo speaker. |

Original yeti is large and a bit more versatile, you can record in 4 different audio direction, i.e omnidirectional, cardioid, bidirectional, and stereo making it ideal for recording YouTube videos, podcasts, large groups, or instrumentals. Yeti nano has 2 audio recording options , Omni and bidirectional, so made more for podcasts and YouTube videos. It’s also smaller. User questions & answers
Question: | Is the headphone jack on this for monitoring your inputs, or does your PC audio come through it aswell |
Answer: | Hi, You can monitor your inputs and listen to playback from your computer simultaneously, which allows you to create overdubs with next to zero latency. You can either choose to monitor the inputs using the Direct Monitor switch, or you can use the Input Monitor feature in your DAW. If using the Direct Monitor feature the input signal will be passed directly to the line and headphone outputs, whereas if you use the Input Monitor feature in your DAW, you will be hearing the audio you're recording back from your DAW. In either case, you can still hear any other audio playing back from your DAW at the same time as recording. Best regards, Laurence Clarke // Focusrite Technical Support |
Question: | What type of usb cable does this come with? is it a type-c to type-c or a type-c to type-a |
Answer: | Hi, This comes with a type-c to type-a cable. If you have type-c ports, you will need to purchase a type-c to type-c USB cable separately. Best regards, Laurence Clarke // Focusrite Technical Support |
Question: | Does the XLR input only record audio to the left side |
Answer: | Hi, When recording a single microphone, you should ensure that you create a mono audio track in your DAW instead of a stereo audio track. When you record onto a mono audio track, the output from that track will be heard on both sides of your headphones or speakers (ensuring the output is set to stereo), however, if you record onto a stereo track, the audio will just be recorded onto the left side of a stereo file and you will ony hear it on the left of your headphones/speakers. This is explained in more detail here: https://support.focusrite.com/hc/en-gb/articles/206849779?flash_digest=62885ef974b4eb116f3b3ea2c9b9c38ddb871473 Best regards, Laurence Clarke // Focusrite Technical Support |

User questions & answers
Question: | Does it come with a mic stand or shock mount to hold it or do I need to buy my own? Also If I need my own what do you suggest |
Answer: | This microphone has it's own mount, that provides slight separation from any vibration noise. There is no elastic suspension "shock mount" available for this unit - but is a very rugged mic that can take a beating. Any decent stand will do... but because the SM7B is fairly heavy, I'd advise if your going to hang it off a boom stand, I'd find a sturdy one with a decent counter weight. I use an Atlas Sound MS20E Heavy Duty Microphone Stand or the On Stage SMS7650 Hex-Base Studio Boom Microphone Stand. |
Question: | Do you need a mixamp/preamp/mixer/audio interface to use this microphone on a PC or is it optional |
Answer: | The question is specifically asking about using this mic with a PC, and although it's a 6 year old question, it still needs to be flooded with correct answers to hide the bad one inexplicably found at the top, even though its Yes:No helpfulness ratio is atrocious and is neither the newest nor the oldest answer. This absolutely needs an interface to be used with a PC. A lot of these answers are going on about the preamp, but regardless of how you get power to this thing--whether it be preamps onboard your interface or whatnot--you will absolutely need some sort of interface to, well, interface with your computer. Whether it be USB, Firewire, Thunderbolt, or PCIe, you will 1000% need a way to get the signal into your PC. That aside, you will definitely want good way to drive it given its output level. |
Question: | Is this the mic Marc Maron uses on the show for podcasting |
Answer: | Per Marc Maron on a mic website "In the garage I use two Shure SM7s into a Samson MDR6 mixer into Garage Band on my mac. On the road I use a Zoom H4n and two Blue Encore 100 mics." However, the SM7B is a great broadcast mic. I use it for studio vocals. Hope this helps. |
Question: | How does the shure sm7b compare to the blue yeti pro |
Answer: | I use the Shure SM7b for all of my voiceover and singing recording. The Blue Yeti Pro doesn't even place when compared in all honestly. The Blue Yeti Pro has a WAY higher noise floor, and sounds muddy and slightly muffled when comparing the two back to back. And I see a lot of people saying, "A cloudlifter won't help," and I can say from first-hand experience, that this isn't true. Personally I recommend picking up a Fethead, or an sE Electronics DM1, however, all three do the same thing, but some cost more than others, (I'm using the DM1, and I've been very happy with my purchase.) Originally I was using a Focusrite Scarlet Solo, 2nd Gen, and my audio was clean. Any mic activators helps bring this mic up to great levels without getting any pre-amp noise. I've since upgraded to an Audient ID4, and my audio is super clean. I don't get any noise from the mic, pre-amp, or the interface. That being said, the SM7b is more expensive, but even despite this, I definitely recommend the SM7b over Blue Yeti Pro any day. |

User questions & answers
Question: | My delivery date is still tbd but i ordered on prime. can you let me know when i will receive this. thanks |
Answer: | Pretty quickly, just days, not weeks. |
Question: | I already have an amplifier. Could I connect amplified signal to this unit |
Answer: | Hi, you can connect the speaker to your amplifier as long as your amp can handle the wattage. Thank you. |
Question: | Can I plug my guitar into it |
Answer: | Yes but NO....it has a standard guitar port but they are NOT IN LINE with all the echoes and tone control....oh and it’s a Left or Right side only. They call this Channel 5 and 6! If you want you’re guitar to plug in so you have tone and echo control, (Channel 1-4) you’ll have to buy a three prong adapter that crosses over to guitar port. WATCH OUT THO, THESE LIKE TO CRACKLE AND BUZZ. Buy good ones!!! I bought this system thinking I could carry my guitar in one hand and this system in another and set up in no time. It sounds okay at best! I added a powered subwoofer. Now the hopes of carry in and out are no longer a reality. Voice sounds good, but guitar straight in doesn’t. Hince the sub I added. Your guitar will sound like one made out of a tin box! I hate that I bought this system! Go for a good one and pay a grand! You won’t regret it. Also the system gets hot and starts sounding worse. You have to turn it off when not playing. I thought I could Bluetooth to my phone when taking breaks from performing and letting some tunes play, nope, turn it off to cool down or sound like poo on the next set! This is no way close to a pro set up. If you are messing around in your home, sure. This will not last more than a few gigs and it got set up in my basement as a practice set. |
Question: | does it have phantom power |
Answer: | I believe it does Travis. I’ve packed it away now. Or is double check. But I’m sure I bought it with that in mind because of my microphones. Overall is a good wee system for the money. My only issue was it has echo but no reverb. But still decent. Served its purpose for me. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Looking to replace two speakers (celestion g12-p80) in my fender hot rod deville iii. for smooth overdrive and hot, liltexas or tonker lite |
Answer: | K. M. Baker: I put one of these in my Fender Princeton Reverb 65 and it makes it sound much better than the stock Fender 10 inch speaker that was in the amp. I also replace the speaker baffle board with solid pine vs the particle board baffle that was in it. This speaker is also much lighter in weight than many others. It sounds great for my style music placed, country, blues, gospel and bluegrass. |
Question: | I'm installing this speaker in a 5E3 size cabinet primarily for weight reduction. Specs look good but I'm concerned about harsh high end |
Answer: | Once broken in this speaker have nice creamy tone. NO BRITTLE HIGHS at all! And yes great weight reduction. Used in a Fender Blues Deluxe and totally happy with the tone. |
Question: | what is the impedance |
Answer: | Hi Dan, impedance is 8 ohms. Let us know if you have any other questions. |
