Answer:	I believe you are inquiring about a iMac (21.5-inch, Mid 2011) computer. I mostly work on PC's, so Mac products are not my strength. I recommend that a technician do the job because there are different storage sizes for your computer depending on the specification. The 1 TB drive will be a better value, but also changing over to an SSD will improve your computer performance a little bit. If you are not a technician or computer savvy, I do not recommend you take on the job because you still have to deal with downloading the operating system. My final recommendation is that you buy a new computer. Computer technology has increased in the last 10 years, which will make your present computer a paper weight. Question:	Does this package contain all 4 necessary strings for the ukelele
Answer:	Different beast (but not animal material). These are synthetic but a completely new take from traditional nylgut. Nylgut, just like nylon or fluocarbon or metal (or actual animal material) adjust their pitch by the thickness of the string. The red series changes the material itself from sting to string. All the strings are the same thickness (which makes them play great, by the way) but have their individual notes, when tuned correctly, based on their composition (no pun intended).

Answer:	Ukuleles are reentrant tuned. This means that the "top" string (the G string if you're strumming righty) is higher than the first two strings after it. It's difference of, I think, an octave or two from high G to low G. Low G is literally a lower G note on the musical staff. High G is further up the staff. Some people prefer the low G for a richer tone. YMMV

Answer:	In regards to strings? I am not sure whether there is strings for concert size, but I have tenor uke also and tenor uke , because of bigger size, have thicker and longer strings. As you may know if you can equate soprano size ukeas Violin, concert size as viola, and tenor as cello and Baritone uke as bass in an orchestra, you can get the idea that as you move up, the size gets larger and produce lower notes. So the soprano string is thinnest and produce highest pitched notes.

Answer:	the low G is a wound string which is tuned one octave lower than the high G. it is tuned lower the C string while to high G is tuned higher than the C. Guitar players tend to like low G tuning as it is more like guitar. I buy single low g strings which allows versatility.

Answer:	The strings are very long and I had to cut the one I used. As for sound comparison, I can't answer. I only needed to replace one original string, the A. The sound was much better than the one that came with my ukulele.

The New Nylgut is nor common Nylon or Carbon (Fluocarbon fishing line or PVDF), or a mix of them. It is a plastic compound of three different components



Compared to Nylon, the New Nylgut produces a better sound and stays in tune better, this because the moisture absorption is less of .1% against the 2.0% of Nylon normally employed for the musical strings (i.e. Du Pont Tynex polyammide 6-12).



Due to the higher density, similar to that of pure gut (1.30 gr/cm3), the New Nylgut produces a better sound than Nylon and it is not so metallic like those of the so- called ‘Carbon’ (Fluorocarbon) PVDF strings.

Answer:	Yes,great sounding wound string but has a short life compared to the other strings in the set. Buy three or four xtra low g’s.

Answer:	One set of strings is: four strings that are each the notes for 1A string, 2E string, 3C string and 4G string. They will also be color coded so there is no confusion as to the order they will be strung over the fret board. The soprano, concert and tenor sizes of 'ukuleles can have the option of using a low G steal or a high G string. A low G string will have a fuller guitar sound to it and a high G will be light and bright sounding. Never put all steal strings onto a 'uke . You will crack the neck. Hope this helps. Answer:	Mandolin tuning is GDAE, not GDEA. Mando standard tuning is G3-D4-A4-E5 and typically has a 13" to 13 7/8" scale and have as many as 29 frets Tenor "low G" tuning is G3-C4-E4-A4 and use a scale that's about 17" and have 17 to 19 frets. The difference in scale length has some additional challenges. You can probably bring the C4 string up to D4 pretty easily. You'll need to lower the E4 string to A4, which means you'll probably need a thicker string and may need to open up the slot on the nut or risk cracking the nut. The real challenge will be bringing the A(4) string up more than an octave to E(5). As far as "can you do it?" goes: yes, you can bring the uke up to mandolin tuning, but it adds a lot of stress to the instrument that it wasn't designed for (depending on the instrument, you can collapse the top or tear off the bridge). You'll also find that the nylon strings won't like being pulled that taut and they'll stretch and/or break. A steel string will give you a better shot at achieving an E(5) pitch, but you risk damaging the instrument.

Answer:	Yes, all four strings are included and will work on either a concert or tenor ukulele. The lowest string should be tuned to C3 (130.81 hz), the G3 (196.00 hz) the D4 (293.66 hz) and the A4 (440.00 hz). The C string is one octave lower than middle C on the piano. The other three strings are tuned the same as the lowest three strings on a violin or mandolin. This CGDA tuning is the same as a viola and a tenor guitar. You can’t tune these strings to match GDAE of the violin or they won’t stay in tune or will break. They are tuned to fifths between each string (like a violin, viola, mandolin and tenor guitar), so that if you can play any of those instruments, the fingering is the same. It is NOT tuned in 3rds and 4ths (like a regular guitar). They have a lovely low mellow ringing tone to them. I prefer this to the “plinky” (some call it “brighter”) sound of a high or low G ukulele. They are also very long lasting - I have been playing for over 6 months now (1-2 hrs per day) and they are still in decent condition.
