User questions & answers
Question: | I have had these for a couple of years and they have never felt comfortable. Any suggestions on getting the right tension and feel |
Answer: | The one I have was not set up properly by the factory. I can only guess that yours was not as well. I had to remove the ends of the shaft where the springs attach and realign the splines to allow more hammer throw. When I first set it up it didnt feel powerful at all. After some tinkering I was able to get it to pound. |
Question: | Can you turn the pedal into a direct drive |
Answer: | I don’t think there’s a way to convert the chain drive to a direct drive. I do have to say that the pedal is extremely intuitive, it just takes a little bit of time to dial it in. |
Question: | I have the dw 2000 series and really dont like it. i am a death metal drummer and i need to upgrade my double pedal. is this one will do the job vs |
Answer: | It's a very good pedal for the price. With that being said it may not be up to your standards with the abuse you will be putting it thru. As far as the dw I've never owned one. For the double bass I put it thru not bad at all. But of your double pedaling thru your set list. Prolly not. |
Question: | Where do the 20g weights go on these pedals |
Answer: | There is an interchangeable weight inside both beaters. They come with 10 oz., but with an Allen wrench, you can take them out and replace with the 20 oz. if wanted |

Every feature and pedal adjustment has been engineered to make the Falcon feel as if it's an extension of your feet. Because the MAPEX falcon's footprint is more compact than other bass drum pedals, it's easy to comfortably position between your Hi-Hat and snare stands. The Falcon pedal's easy-to-reach, resistance-free Talon clamp adjustment tightens with one hand from a seated position, making set up quick and easy—even in the tightest spaces. Even if the bass drum is pitched at a severe angle, The pedal remains flat to the floor and securely clamped to the drum for the utmost comfort and security. The MAPEX Falcon is equipped with interchangeable cams to suit your individual style. The Glide cam offers an equal amount of Inertia from the beginning to the end of the stroke, while the pursuit cam is recommended for increased power and maximum impact. The reversible beater heads Comes with interchangeable 0.35 oz. And 0.75 oz. Inserts. By choosing one of these weights—or playing without any additional weight at all—you can choose your desired Degree of centrifugal force. The falcon's footboard design provides the feel of a longer board without the additional weight and mass. A lighter footboard provides greater control with less fatigue, and its uniquely sculpted profile allows you to position your feet at any angle and operate the pedals with minimal expended energy—making even the most intricate patterns seem effortless. Question: | I know this question was already asked but I need a bit more precise answer. How long is the foot plate (the one you press down on |
Answer: | I measure them at 11 31/32" or just a hair under 12" at the surface or where you foot rest. My size 12 foot with a shoe on easily fits as there is room from the plate to the chain but my son generally uses the ball of his foot in the center for better speed. |

User questions & answers
Question: | What is a electronic bass pedal sensor to get with this kicker? (does not work with the stock alesis dm6 nitro sensor |
Answer: | The Nitro DM6 Kick Tower does not work well with double kick pedals. It only triggers in the center of the pad and base design is too narrow to properly adjust pedal position. I use my Yamaha KP65 for double kick action. Great bounce back, excellent triggering and plugs right in the Nitro Kit. |
Question: | can tell me how to adjust the beater angle |
Answer: | dyou ever figure this out? trying to determine this myself |
Question: | Excuse me. Could this kind of pedal work to play fast like death metal |
Answer: | Yes and you only need one kick drum. The pedal has two beaters so it is possible. It is a good quality pedal and very affordable. |
Question: | Is the distance or width between pedals adjustable |
Answer: | Yes |

Question: | I carry my hardware in a hardware bag. Does the black hardware scratch easily to which the black paint comes off |
Answer: | Yes, I quickly noticed there were nicks on my hardware however you can go to a fabric store and pick up a thick fabric to use to layer each piece as you place them in the bag. I use my old hard plastic golf bag travel case for my heavy duty hardware. It has wheels on the bottom and a good handle. Then you don't have to strong arm the bag.....just roll them in. |

Question: | How can we carry this without case? :o |
Answer: | I have a case for another pedal, so this is not a problem to me. But not have a case is a problem. |
Question: | there is a case included |
Answer: | The HP310LW does not come with a case. |
Question: | can it be used as 2 separate pedals on 2 bass drums or not |
Answer: | No you want two single pedals. |
Question: | Do these pedals have a spring under the footboard |
Answer: | No they do not, honestly I wouldn't buy these unless you really need pedals, you could attach the springs if you buy them but wouldn't really recommend these unless you are on a serious budget. Not anything like actual speed cobras would recommend getting dw3000 if you are on a budget about the same price I'm sure you'll find cheaper ones as well but the 3000's kill these cobras. |
