User questions & answers

Question: dose it swap to left foot and the out rig to the right side
Answer: As far as I can tell, no. You cannot switch the main pedal to the left instead of right.
Question: does this ship to australia
Answer: Thank you for the question. I can ship, if the address of Australia is known. I will inform you the shipping date once I confirm your payment. Please purchase by Amazon.com.
Question: I have used the iron c. rolling glide that is $399 in amazon's site, what is the difference? i have heard that the beaters tendo to drop when u play
Answer: I have used both for a fairly good amount of playing, although not back-to-back. I have found very little difference between the two. There have, so far, not been any fasteners coming loose, or parts needing re-adjustment after setting them the first time. Tama has always been, for me, very consistent even in their 'budget grade' equipment. This pedal plays extremely well and I recommend it.
Question: What is the difference between these and the IC
Answer: Other than the different finishes in the posts (600 has black anodized, 200 has polished silver) AND the 600 features a double-link chain for both pedals vs. the 200's single chain... I don't notice very much difference at all. Actions are very similar, both are equally adjustable and versatile. Both are TAMA-tough as well (great quality).

User questions & answers

Question: Does anyone have any issues with this pedal "sliding" forward while playing with an E drum kit? Seems to be an issue with E drums
Answer: Adam T. is correct. I would imagine even an electronic kit needs some type of carpet under it for the kick and hi-hat pedals.
Question: Can i replace the beaters with the dw felt ones
Answer: They are felted on one side and plastic on the other. Take a beater and check the size of you want to change them.
Question: What's the size of the footboard? They are longboards
Answer: Not sure of the actual size but they are not long boards
Question: How does this pedal compare to the Iron Cobra 600?Does anyone have any experience with both pedals? Tks
Answer: The iron cobra is a great pedal, however, IMO the DW is smoother. I didn't have enough money to buy the 9000 series but if you do the 9000 is so unbelievably amazing. The 3000 is great for my needs currently.

User questions & answers

Question: How can we carry this without case? :o
Answer: I have a case for another pedal, so this is not a problem to me. But not have a case is a problem.
Question: there is a case included
Answer: The HP310LW does not come with a case.
Question: can it be used as 2 separate pedals on 2 bass drums or not
Answer: No you want two single pedals.
Question: Do these pedals have a spring under the footboard
Answer: No they do not, honestly I wouldn't buy these unless you really need pedals, you could attach the springs if you buy them but wouldn't really recommend these unless you are on a serious budget. Not anything like actual speed cobras would recommend getting dw3000 if you are on a budget about the same price I'm sure you'll find cheaper ones as well but the 3000's kill these cobras.

User questions & answers

Question: What is a electronic bass pedal sensor to get with this kicker? (does not work with the stock alesis dm6 nitro sensor
Answer: The Nitro DM6 Kick Tower does not work well with double kick pedals. It only triggers in the center of the pad and base design is too narrow to properly adjust pedal position. I use my Yamaha KP65 for double kick action. Great bounce back, excellent triggering and plugs right in the Nitro Kit.
Question: can tell me how to adjust the beater angle
Answer: dyou ever figure this out? trying to determine this myself
Question: Excuse me. Could this kind of pedal work to play fast like death metal
Answer: Yes and you only need one kick drum. The pedal has two beaters so it is possible. It is a good quality pedal and very affordable.
Question: Is the distance or width between pedals adjustable
Answer: Yes

User questions & answers

Question: Is it possible to buy just the left side of this pedal, i already have the single pedal version
Answer: Yes it is, the single pedal is identical to the double pedal. The conversion kit is $149, just search for "Pearl Demonator conversion kit."
Question: Can you move the beaters closer together
Answer: If you are talking about the beaters, the parts that hit the drum, they are already right next to each other. You couldn't move them closer together without having them touch. If you are talking about the pedals, the answer is still no, because the drive shaft is a certain length and you can't make it shorter than that. They can be extended, but not closer together.
Question: i heard that the only down this pedal has is that its a single chain pedal, why is that a bad thing
Answer: There is no problem with this pedal. I bought mine on a referral from the drummer in Candle Light Red. This is a bad @ss pedal!
Question: do you have the left footed model
Answer: You can convert it to a lefty. Like the demon drive. They almost have the same structural design.

Question: is it made in Taiwan
Answer: USA
Question: How's the reliability of this so far to all? I have a Gibraltar that's over 25-years old I need to replace...its 25-years old
Answer: We got the 9000 for my father last year and it feels like a tank. I've been using a 5000 for around 10 and it seems like the day I got it. I'm not a super heavy user though. More of a casual in home drummer.

User questions & answers

Question: is the black double pad 2 separate pads or one single wide pad
Answer: Hi,,,i don't use the silent strokes on my snare i use a Rtom Black hole it is a drop on snare head and sits about an inch away from the head and has a rubber lip...i play my snare flat so i rim shot a lot and with the remo i would hit the rim this drop on works better for my style,, i do use all remo silents on the toms and the kicks and they work out great...Hope this helped a little
Question: Would this patch work on mesh heads (V-Drums
Answer: You should be able to do that.
Question: How big are these
Answer: The metal U-shaped hoop on a bass drum mesh head projects out farther from the edge of the head itself, and is also taller than the flatter metal hoop of a tom head. The bass drum head won't fit within an 18-inch metal tom rim. I found this out the hard way when I ordered Roland PowerPly (also made by Remo) mesh heads for my two acoustic kits. They don't make an 18-inch PowerPly tom head, so I ordered an 18-inch bass drum head, thinking it would work on a tom. It didn't. So that's why I bought the 1-ply 18-inch Remo Silentstroke. The PowerPlys are better and stronger 2-ply heads (though more expensive), made just like the Roland mesh heads for V-drums. But since I don't use the 18-inch tom that much, the Silentstroke's thinner 1-ply head shouldn't be a problem. Note: The Roland PowerPly mesh heads are not yet available in the U.S. (at least they weren't when I ordered mine in September). I had to order them from drum-tec in Germany (I live in Iowa), which worked just fine (only needing to pay a $26 duty fee to UPS when they arrived, and the 25-euro ($26 U.S. dollars) shipping fee to drum-tec). If you're just using the mesh heads for quiet practice on an acoustic kit, they work great. And if you want to use them to convert your acoustic kit into a hybrid kit by using drum triggers like the new Roland RT-30 series triggers and a decent Roland sound module, they turn your acoustic kit into a great-souding electronic kit that has the great look of your acoustic kit. (Don't worry, I'm just a drummer, not a Roland salesman.) I've played acoustic kits for the last 50 years and electronic kits for the last 12 years. And now I can use my 1969 Slingerland kit or my 2002 DW kit as either. Hope this helps.
Question: title says clear plastic, description says black, which is it
Answer: Yes these will work on your Alesis kit.

User questions & answers

Question: What's the difference between this peak and the 910? Is it worth the $200+ in savings
Answer: I have both. I can't tell any difference between the two. If you want to spend a little more money then get a Tama Speed Cobra double pedal if you want more speed and power.
Question: What are the beaters made of? I've been told the luck from on the TD-17kvx will get worn out with felt beaters
Answer: It's made of Felt. However, if this is the board you want, you could always purchase it and get a better if different material to replace it. Eg. The accu-strike beater made by Tama also. The beater material i butadiene, said to be less damaging to electric bass drum heads. Good luck!
Question: Does this pedal include a case
Answer: Does not include case.
Question: Does the long board accomodate Heel down player with size 13 shoe
Answer: I just measured one of my pedals it is 13 1/2 inches, but that is from the chain to the very end of footboard on the Tama symbol. It may work for you. I play heel up so not really sure.

Answer: comes with a bag but not the other cams chains- hope this helps!
Question: Is this the extended footboard version
Answer: NO. I have a size 13 wide. For me to do heel toe I must be bare foot. I really wish I had gotten a larger pedal board. Besides that I love these pedal. Much better quality than the Tama Iron Cobras these replaced

User questions & answers

Question: Is the toe stop removeable
Answer: Yes the toe stop is removable and the foot plate you can set it if you wnat to do the slide technique or heel toe technique. Great pedal
Question: Which cams come on the pedals out of the box
Answer: It seems that the black cam is attached from the factory. The black is a linear action cam allowing for power and a very balanced action
Question: what accessories does it bring
Answer: Cams and a sweet case.
Question: What would be better chain or belt double pedal for speed and control game
Answer: Order the Direct Drive linkage.... the chain is fine but once your feet have felt the power and speed of that direct drive linkage (which yes you can change the chain or strap to direct drive through Pearls parts catalog) it will feel as if your really in control. Practice is going to be your best friend but I understood your question and I've played chains/straps for 21 years. I purchased the Eliminator in Jan 2017, about 1 month ago I saw someone replace their strap for the direct drive linkage. Personally I prefer this pedal over the Demon drive as I love all of the customization's one can do with this pedal. Now that it's direct drive I couldn't be happier. With lots of practice my bpm have more than double and it's all about the ability to control. Doing doubles is a walk in the park along with triplets. Like M. Sweeney said you just gotta keep on practicing. I hope this helps. You don't have to go fork out over 1k for a direct drive now... now you get the best of BOTH worlds... the Pearl Eliminator and a direct drive pedal. If you don't believe me just search the net for direct drive conversion kits. You'll find yourself amazed and laughing at the people who spent a fortune on the pedals (can't name any other names as I don't want this post to be deleted but you get what I mean) Happy drumming!
