User questions & answers
Question: | will a fluegelhorn mouthpiece fit in a trumpet |
Answer: | As others have suggested, put the horn away clean. To answer the question you haven't asked but ought to: professionals and serious amateurs give their horns a thorough bath in mild dishsoap every three months or so - it's easy, you remove the valves and slides and soak the body and slides. The valves are disassembled - partly - and soaked separately Then use an old tooth brush on the valves to remove any remaining grime and oil. Use slide brushes to do the same for the insides of the slides and the body. Rinse very thoroughly. Dry very thoroughly (especially the valves, get someone to show you how) and then grease the slides with light slide grease and oil the valves with high quality oil. I recommend Al Cass, but some prefer synthetic oils. Then, your horn is ready to play now, or put away for any reasonable length of time. If you've left it unplayed for a year or so, take it out and check to make sure there's no corrosion (shouldn't be if you've done the cleaning well) and oil the valves and, if necessary, use a bit more light grease on the slides. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Does it come in a box |
Answer: | I received mine in a box |
Question: | Will these bottom out in a 1970's model 37 Bach stradivarius trumpet |
Answer: | If you have had issues with mouthpieces not seating, it sounds like your receiver is worn. Bach has not changed their specs on the Strads. The Artisans have the same shank as all the other Bach pieces. Being you have a 45 year old + horn it sounds like it is time to replace the receiver. It oly takes a couple thousandths of an inch wear to have this issue. The Bach receiver is available here on Amazon as well as our website. Any decent shop can do the switch. |
Question: | Is this silver plated |
Answer: | Yes, thus listing is for standard silver plated, our company also offers custom Gold rim & cup or full gold plated. |
Question: | Does it come in the leather case |
Answer: | No, it does not come in a leather case. Thank You. |

Question: | is there room for mutes and potentially some music |
Answer: | it depends on what kind of music, certainly not in a binder. I haven't tried it but you could probably put a mute or 2 in the side pocket |
Question: | Does it have back straps |
Answer: | Yes, back straps are hidden in the pocket (zipped). Really good done |
Question: | Will it fit a Bach Stradivarius model 37 trumpet |
Answer: | It should fit trumpets that aren't herald trumpets or pocket trumpets or the odd raised bell formats. It will fit most standard sized trumpets as it's just a bag, not fitted specifically for a specific brand of horn. Even coronets fit. |
